"LUNA HELP, LUNA HELP ME HOLD THE DOOR!" Lori yelled, but I wouldn't move, I don't want to move. Lincoln, Lily, Luan, we were all in that room, they were bitten, bleeding on the floor, I could've helped them, I could've held the door. "LUNA, HELP ME HOLD THE FUCKING DOOR!" I can't, those things outside, the zombies, I don't want to see them, I don't want to die.
"Get up, you're late," Lori kicked me in the guts, waking me up in an instant. It had been 5 years since it started. It's just Lori and me now, the others didn't make it. I've been useless since that day, I can't do anything. Lori must be very pissed at me, I can't blame her, I deserve it. "Luna, are you having the nightmares again?" Lori asked coldly.
"Y-yeah..."
"Well get the fuck over it, we're heading out today, scrap metal hunt at the crash site," Lori said as she threw my pack at me. I unzipped the bag and I took out the walkie-talkie, I clipped it on my belt, and I took my knife out, it's a bit dull, but it'll do, putting the knife on my belt and saddling the bag, I could feel the pain on my shoulder from sleeping on that mattress-less bed. Just as I saddled Lori snapped her finger and said: "The walkies are a bit low on juice, check up on me only if there is an emergency,"
"Alright," I replied with no energy in my voice.
"Keep that up and I might sell you to slavery, grab the crowbar, let's go," She stung.
I grabbed the crowbar and I followed her to the gate. The gatekeeper, Kyle, he's a pervert, but not the one that would go as far as to rape someone. We didn't want to make the time we have to handle with him long, so we got to the gates with our IDs out.
"Let us through Kyle, we don't have all day," Lori ordered, her tone annoyed.
"Where are you two off to?" Kyle asked.
"Crash site, we'll be back before sundown," Lori replied.
"Alright, alright, don't be too long, I'll miss that booty of yours Lor," He grinned.
Ignoring him, we got out. The crash site wasn't that far. About 2 miles from the town. The journey to the crash site was uneventful, there weren't a lot of zombies wandering this path, not surprising because the area is pretty secluded, not a single city with 2000 population in a 50-mile radius. Well... the former population.
"Hey Lori, umm..." I wanted to ask her about what are we going to do for winter, we've been scavengers for 4 years and a half now, finding metal and selling it for scraps to buy food. Every winter we would need to ration our food, sometimes fasting for 2 days on end, because scavenging in the snow is harder and much more dangerous. Winter is just around the corner, I don't want it to be like last winter, the winter where no one could do anything. "So, umm..."
"What do you want?" She asked coldly.
"I was thinking, maybe we should do something else on the side, we can't scavenge during winter and I thought that maybe we could start another-" She cuts me off. She sighed and punched me in the guts.
"Luna, what the fuck can you do?" She pushed me to the ground. "Other than making loud annoying noises, sub-par tool maintenance, and getting your family members killed! Leni, Luan, Lynn, Lincoln, Lucy, Lana, Lola, Lisa, Lily, did they all die? Tell me, Luna, tell me that you didn't get them killed! Not only that you can't do anything, you get people killed by your cowardice," each point she yelled at my shriveled body made me see more and more of the truth that I know about since the end of the world. The truth made me wonder why she bothered to keep me alive. The truth is that I am just dead weight. A good-for-nothing idiot that won't stop getting people killed. "Just... Just go home Luna, I can handle it on my own." Lori said, leaving me there, still lying on the road.
As her footsteps became fainter and fainter, I rolled my body and looked up at the sky. The clouds are quite dark, it's about to rain. Even the weather hates me. I deserve it. The first raindrops fell, it was the stinging rain, well that added fuel to the already raging fire, rainwater as fuel, that's ironic. Heh. I don't want to move. It's not like I could make a difference. Even if I go back to town, I'd just get someone killed, if I went after Lori, I'd get her killed. It's better for me to die here. I smiled.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" A laughter that soon turned to a loud cry. A cry that was deafened by the rain that slowly drummed louder and louder. Until not even my internal voice could be heard.
"What a fuckin' joke... Heh... Luan would be proud I guess," Just as I was about to close my eyes and leave everything to fate, the walkie-talkie buzzed.
"~bzzed~ I'm alone, I don't have anything else, that's all I have," Lori's voice buzzed out.
"Oh yeah, you got that body of yours now don't ya? Don't want to give me some of your time?" Another voice blared out, Lori's in trouble. Quickly I got up on my feet. I held my crowbar tight, and I ran.
"No! FUCK OFF!"
"C'mon' don't be like that,"
"F-fuck... ~bzzed~" The connection died. I need to be fast. I need to get there fast. Lori, please hold on. Please.

Random History Facts With Riz-Kun #1:
The Atlantic Ocean is the world's most salty and diluted tea. Why? Because on the 16th Of December 1773, Americans threw chests filled with tea into the ocean, thus creating the most tea in the world. They beat the Brits at that but their tea is shite. Look forward for the next issue. Tata
