At this moment a lazy-looking boy with black hair and headphones could be seen sitting on a rock and listening to music while enjoying the morning breeze.
This boy's name is Zealex Nexus and he wasn't originally someone from this world. In fact the world he was in right now can't even be considered a normal modern day world at all.
In the distance Zealex could see weird looking birds and butterflies flying around.
Zealex naturally immediately recognized these creatures as Pidgeys, Taillows and Butterfrees.
Indeed... He was in a Pokemon World!
One with it's own history, regions and people different from the anime, games and manga.
A literal alternate Pokemon World!
Removing his headphones, Zealex sighed as he muttered: "I've been in this world for more than 12 years now and yet I still haven't decided on what I should do in this life."
Must know that in his previous life Zealex worked as a bodyguard for important and sometimes corrupt people, as such now being in a pokemon world he pretty much knew he couldn't choose that profession again. After all in this world people had pokemon to protect them.
Scratching his head, Zealex said: "Should I actually just become a Pokemon Trainer?... Or maybe attend a Pokemon School?"

Must know that in Zealex's current life, his mother happens to be one of their region's gym leaders. This Roserade is one of her favorite pokemon.
After hanging out with Roserade for a bit, Zealex entered his house where he saw an adorable little girl with twintails running towards him. In the little girl's arms is a cute little Togepi
"Zealex you're back!" Shouted the adorable little girl.
"Priii..chuki!" Shouted Togepi.
This adorable little girl is Rebecca Nexus one of Zealex's siblings in his current life.
Seeing his little sister, Zealex showed a wide smile and said: "Morning Becky you woke up early."
Rebecca pouted hearing this and said: "Muuuu!... I don't sleep in all the time Zealex!"
Togepi: "Chuki...priii!"
"Alright alright... Dad should've prepared breakfast already right? Let's get going." Said Zealex as he patted his little sister's head.
Upon entering the kitchen with his little sister, Zealex quickly spotted a man with spiky black hair placing food on the dinner table.
Seeing the two children enter the kitchen, the man smiled and said: "Alright you two breakfast is ready time to eat."
This black spiky haired man is none other than Zealex and Becky's father... Derrick Nexus.
"Yes Dad!" Replied the two children.
As the two children were seated, Derrick suddenly remembered something and said: "Oh right Roserade's here. Let me get her some breakfast too."
After Derrick left the kitchen, Rebecca couldn't help but say: "It's so cool that Dad not only can make good normal food but even delicious Pokemon food!"
"Chuki...priii!" Replied Togepi as it took a bite out of a small pokeblock.
Hearing his sister's words, Zealex nodded as he thought: "Yeah it's somewhat impressive despite Dad claiming he's just an ordinary chef."
"Yaaawn~~... Morning kids." Said a beautiful woman with long red hair that was walking down the stairs.
Zealex: "Morning Mom."
Rebecca: "Mommy you overslept again!"
Cecilia Nexus simply chuckled and said: "Yeah due to my duties as a Gym Leader I had to prepare some things and work late last night."
Hearing his Mother's words, Zealex couldn't help but think: "Oh yeah it's nearing that time again... The Gym Challenges."
The region that Zealex and his family reside in is called the Xillion Region and like any other region in a Pokemon world it has it's own Pokemon league known as the Xillion League.
In order to be qualified to participate in the Xillion League, a Pokemon trainer must first collect the ten Gym Badges by challenging the ten Gym Leaders throughout the region.
Cecilia then turned towards the two empty chairs near the dinner table sighed and said: "I really miss those two, I wonder what they're doing now?"
The ones Cecilia was talking about were naturally Zealex's two elder siblings who are Pokemon trainers now traveling the world to gain experience.
Their names are Adam and Selene Nexus.
Rebecca: "Don't worry Mommy. I'm sure big bro and big sis are doing fine. They're strong Pokemon trainers after all!"
Hearing her youngest child's words, Cecilia smiled and nodded. She then turned to Zealex and said: "Come to think of it you'll be turning 13 in a few weeks time right Zealex?"
"Here it comes." Thought Zealex as he replied: "Yeah.."
"Have you decided on what to do... Will you become a Pokemon trainer just like your big brother and sister?" Asked Cecilia with hopeful eyes.
Zealex: "I..."
"Don't rush him Honey. I'm sure our boy has his own plans." Said Derrick who had just returned to the kitchen.
Cecilia: "Oh okay."
Seeing this Zealex couldn't help but sigh in a bit of relief. He truly hasn't decided yet what he would do after he turns 13.

After breakfast Zealex could be seen walking around near the entrance of a forest.
He had decided to take a walk here to clear his head.
Zealex then sighed and muttered: "I really don't think I have what it takes to be a good Pokemon trainer."
After saying these words, Zealex unconsciously entered the forest.
The area of this forest near it's entrance is known to be quite safe with only none hostile Pokemon residing in it such as Caterpie, Pidgey and Bidoof.
This is why Zealex wasn't too worried when entering forest. After all he often played here with his siblings when they were much younger.
Upon entering the forest, Zealex quickly saw several Caterpies and Pidgeys playing about as well as a Bidoof munching on something behind a tree.
Seeing this Zealex couldn't help but smile as he muttered: "This place still gives off a nice calming feeling."
After a few moments Zealex decided to sit down on a large stump and enjoy the fresh air.
As the boy was about to place his headphones onto his ears, he suddenly shuddered.
"W-What is this feeling?" Muttered Zealex as he placed his hand on his chest.
Zealex was sensing something... It was fear, sorrow and desperation... However it wasn't his... but someone else's.
At that moment Zealex couldn't help but turn towards a certain direction.
"It's coming from... deep inside the forest?" Thought Zealex as his eyes began to show confusion.
"Why... can I sense this?... Could it have something to do with why I came to this world in the first place?" Muttered the boy as he became even more confused.
After staring at the direction from which he had been sensing the 'feelings' from for a few moments, Zealex's expression suddenly changed to a determined one.

"Fro...Froakie!" Shouted a small injured light blue frog Pokemon as it was constantly trying to get away from a group of Spearows.
"A Froakie being chased by a group of Spearows?" Thought Zealex as he was hiding behind large bushes watching this scene.
"Froakie?!" Sounded the Froakie as it tripped and fell over.
At that moment Zealex shuddered once more as he suddenly realized something.
Zealex: "These feelings that I'm sensing... are the Froakie's?"
Suddenly...
whoosh...
A holographic screen appeared floating beside Zealex.
"W-What the?!... What is this?" Muttered Zealex in surprise.
It was here that Zealex's story in a Pokemon world truly began.
