The sight of a cat wandering caused concern to form in Stargirl's eyes for one minute. She approached the cat after the Cosmic Staff she wielded was used to fly. Stargirl smiled. ''I'll protect you,'' she said to it. She thought it purred. Her eyes flew open as soon as four men carried jewelry and were armed. Concern returned to eyes.
Stargirl used the Cosmic Staff to form a force field. She and the cat remained within it even when the crooks ran by them.
The force field vanished after the Cosmic Staff was lowered.
Cats wandered. Stargirl's smile returned.
