In a dimly lit room, Robin was busy writing down the latest mission reports. While putting down the records, Robin stopped for a moment and stretch out her arms and back. As she took a short break, she heard a familiar voice call to her. "Hey, Robin." The silver haired tactician turned to see Chrom come in to the archives. "How goes the reports?"
"Oh, hello Chrom. I'm about half way finished." Said Robin. "I just need to record our battle with the pirates, our risen extermination, and our expedition for lost treasure."
"Sounds like you've got a full plate on your table!" Chrom commented jokingly as he placed a hand on Robin's shoulder.
Robin chuckled a bit as she cupped her husband's cheek and said "Yup, a tactician's work is never done." Chrom then proceeded to kiss his wife on the lips. Robin was renowned as a brilliant tactician throughout all of Ylisse and beyond, yet she would rather not let future generations know much about her, only that she was a brilliant strategist.
The tactician then let out a yawn. Piqued by this, Chrom asked in concern "Say, honey, have you been getting enough sleep lately?"
Robin rubbed her eye and answered "Um... I may have gotten fewer hours of sleep these past couple of days, but it's fine. I'm completely fine!"
In response, Chrom said in a serious tone "In other words, you have been sleep depraved."
Robin felt a hint of guilt as she answered "I guess a little."
"Even a little isn't a good thing!" Said Chrom. "Listen, Robin, I do appreciate how dedicated you are in your duty as Ylisse's tactician, but you shouldn't overexert yourself. What you need is a vacation."
Robin then said in protest "But Chrom, what about my reports? What if there would be more missions while I am not around?! I just can't take the idea of neglecting my duties..."
Chrom then turned Robin's chair to make her, kneeled down and looked up at her in the eyes and said "Robin, honey, I know how important this is, and yes, we would be like headless chickens without you, but your mental and physical health have to come first. Otherwise, you might wind up collapsed with a fever. Do you understand?"
Robin looked at the serenity in his eyes, those eyes of which always captivated her when they started falling in love. Robin gave in and replied "Alright, you win. I'll take a break for your sake."
Happy that Robin accepted the offer, he said "I'm glad to hear you say that!" He then kissed her on the fore head as he stood up. "As for where you will be going on your vacation, I believe I have an idea."
"Which is...?" Robin asked curiously.
Chrom then cupped his chin and said "I'm not sure that I've mentioned this, but my family owns a villa on a tropical island southwest of here."
Robin's eyes lit up and made a cute little gasp as she responded happily "A villa?! On an island?! Really?!"
"That's right! Just a piece of private property over two miles or so from the continent." Chrom explained. "The island is over about one thousand six hundred and fifty square miles with palm trees, white sands, clear blue skies and waters, a beautiful thirty foot tall waterfall, inhabited by exotic animals, and the villa is a itself is over three stories high with about seven guest bedrooms and one main bedroom, a kitchen, a dinning room, a drawing room, and much more."
Robin's eyes shimmered with dreaming eyes as she listened to the details Chrom had told her. "That sounds to wonderful! A luxurious island villa that is a dream come true...!"
Chrom shrugged and said "It's not much, but it makes a pleasant retreat. I'm sure that Lisa would be more than happy to give you the tour."
"That sounds like a wonderful idea- Wait, you mean you're not coming?!" Robin asked in surprise.
"Nah, I don't need a vacation at the moment." Said Chrom. "I mean, I would love to go with you, just you and me, but I was thinking that you would be in for a girls' getaway. You know, where us men would know that you are someplace safe from creepy strangers?"
"With just me and Lisa?" Robin inquired.
"It doesn't have to be just you and Lisa. You could invite the other female members of the Shepherds, if you'd like." Said Chrom. "I would say two months would be good for you and the girls. After all, separation makes the heart grow fonder."
Robin smiled with a sigh. "If you say so. Alright, I'll do just that."
Chrom hugged Robin warmly and said "Good, I'm glad. I'll set a boat to carry you and the ladies to the island."
"You go do that!" Said Robin. Once Chrom left, Robin sulked a bit. "Darn, I was hoping that Chrom and I would spend some quality romantic time together like we did when we first got married..." The silver haired woman was glum for a moment until she shrugged the disappointment off. "Oh well, a week or two off on an island villa with the girls isn't so bad. It may actually be interesting!" Robin then paused as soon as she said that and went into thought. "Wait a minute... A villa... on a tropical island... two miles or so from the continent... with just me and the girls... and zero men close by... for two whole months...?" Putting these thoughts together, an idea popped in the tactician's head that formed an intrigued smirk on her face.
Hope you enjoy the prologue of my new Fire Emblem story. I know that I already put a story involving female characters from the Fire Emblem: Awakening game on a tropical island, but what's the problem with making a second one?
Anyway, feel free to leave a comment on the review and favorite it if you like it so far. Peace out!
