The trip back to Naboo was a somber one as Allison felt the Force mourn for the Republic's failure at helping the people of Naboo. She looked over at her Mandalorian companion before motioning to him to follow her into the cockpit. Fay was busy continuing the Basic lessons with Anakin, Shmi having decided to stay in the temple to help cook the army's amount of food for the upcoming years. Hunter followed her as she took her seat in the pilot seat.
"What happened in the senate?"
Hunter sat in the co-pilot seat, turning it to face her, "The Queen got the senators of the Trade Federation and the Gran Protectorate removed. Vote of no confidence will be easy to pass on them, nobody loves or likes them. It was pretty obvious that they were working together on this or other things. But, in the end, I have no idea where the vote of no confidence for the Chancellor went."
Allison snorted, "Better that it didn't happen, the Republic can't handle a Sith with the power at his fingertips right now."
Hunter shrugged, "Not to put a cramp in your style, Companion, but what is this war you've mentioned? I still don't understand what is going on with that."
Allison grimaced, "This war is with a threat from outside our galaxy, Hunter. Not the Yuzhong Vong, however. This is something far darker, it's presence is like oil on water, it slathers and covers whatever is around it. This new enemy is beyond horrifying, Raven met its earliest scouting parties before he was captured by Emperor Valkorion. His Jedi Holocron went into detail on what those Scouts were, but were lacking in details on how to fight against them."
Hunter nodded slowly, "So we got a general understanding but not much detail on the greater threat potential."
Allison nodded somberly, "Very much so, I may need you to look for the last of Jaster Mereel's True Mandalorians and his heir, Jango Fett."
Hunter snorted, "Jango's made a rather impressive name for himself but even then, it's going to be a pain to find him at this point in time."
Allison shrugged, "Something for our future selves to deal with."
Turning to the pilot's console, she nodded to herself, "Coming up on the first leg of our journey."
Darth Plagueis knew something was off when his Apprentice didn't inform him about any victory in the senate. He delved into the Dark Side to sense Sidious but something coated the Master-Apprentice bond like an oil spill coating water. The Lord of the Sith was on his feet and going to the Works on Coruscant, feeling the presence only get more murky and thickening until he found his apprentice.
Or what was supposed to be his Apprentice.
A sneer curled over his lips as the Muun Sith Lord looked at the black, ashen skin of the thing that was Sidious, It turned towards him, emerald green flames flickering within its empty eye sockets and gaping maw.
"So," The Sith Lord sneered darkly, "the true enemy reveals itself."
The husk laughs before speaking, rasping out works through its burnt throat and lipless jaws, "You never noticed this body was created only to learn your pathetic Sith secrets."
Plagueis raised a hairless eyebrow, "Oh? Do you think you learnt all the secrets of the Sith just from me?"
The husk paused then snorted, flames erupting out of its nose cavity, "Indeed, Master, nothing is left to be taught or learned from you. Far be it one so Wise to leave anything left for his student to continue the "Grand Plan" into the Future."
"Do you really think I taught you everything," Plagueis asked the husk, relaxing in its presence as he held his invisible lightsaber handle that was connected to its pole like addition, "I always knew that Sidious was not going to be satisfied until he learned everything about the Sith and they're secrets. Just like you assume you know everything, as the Master, I kept much of the knowledge out of his hands to purposefully teach him restraint. It seems that he, and in extension, you didn't learn this lesson."
The Husk went from smiling to snarling, leaping at Plagueis with the grace of a Nexu in the jungle. The Sith Lord sidestepped before freeing his lightsaber handle from the pole it was connected to, crimson blade activating as he scored a deep slash across the husk's back. It didn't even howl as it landed, spinning around to slash its taloned fingers at the Muun. Plagueis stepped back, forcing the thing to attack him more. The Sith Lord sneered at the thing that had played the spy for all of Sidious's life, the Muun was thankful that he didn't teach Sidious much but theology and philosophy of the Sith in addition to some tricks he could easily disrupt.
The Husk of Sidious howled as it took another lightsaber slash across the chest, ash black skin smoking from the wound that was simply superfluous damage.
"You can't kill what was created from death!" It howled, rushing Plagueis wildly.
"No," The Sith Lord said before lifting a hand, long fingers curled towards the Husk of his former Apprentice, "But even you must follow the laws of this galaxy!"
Black Lightning surged from the Sith Lords' fingers, something he had gained after fully mastering the power of the midi-cloreans. This Lightning was something that only one other Sith ever had, Darth Zannah, in the course of the Banite Line. Plagueis watched in dark amusement as the Husk's chest disintegrated wherever the Black fingers of the energy touched, for this lightning wasn't fully Force based but the power of Sith Alchemy Magics. Plagueis had been keeping this secret his entire apprenticeship from even Darth Tenebrous, his Bith Sith Master.
"W-what is this?!" The Husk howled as it's body started collapsing in on itself from its own powers feeling from the Alchemic bonds fell apart.
"This," Plagueis sneered as he put his Lightsaber back into its pole sheath, deactivated, "is the power of Sith Alchemy, something I learned in far more detail after I learned the language of the Midi-chlorians. You are now suffering from your alchemic body disintegrating from its bonds collapsing without any source of power, namely the Force. But, fret not, Husk of Sidious, you are also giving me something in return."
"I give you nothing but a curse on your life!" It roared.
Plagueis waved his hand, knocking away the very weak Force based curse it tried to attack him with.
"In the line of Master and Student, you have failed to end me, Sidious," Plagueis intoned, the Dark Side awakening around him as the Husk went silent, "For that failure, your powers, strength in the Force and knowledge of it are now forfeit to me."
The Husk screamed but it was cut off when the body collapsed, its powers, knowledge and strength vanishing and being added to Plagueis's own. The Dark Side churned, tearing the false personality of the Husk apart before rewarding him with everything that made Sidious a grand Apprentice. The Dark Side anointed Plagueis once more, renewing its vow and purpose to Plagueis once more before settling down. Plagueis was silent throughout this, looking at the husk before he pulled out a Sith Holocron from out of his expensive business robes.
Pushing the Dark Side into the pyramid Holocron, Plagueis was rewarded with the spirit of Darth Zannah looking back at him.
"Darth Zannah," He said, an amused smile appearing on his lips, "It seems that I may be able to help you in your quest to regain your body once more."
"Coming out of hyperspace," The voice of Hunter said over the intercom of the ship, "hold onto your seats."
Fay rolled her eyes before leading Anakin to the cockpit to see what was going on, as the starlines dropped away and turned into real space. Before them lay the blockaded world of Naboo, the suffering of the planet was easily felt through the Force itself. Anakin stiffened, as though he could feel every lifeform on the lush paradisiacal world suffering.
"It's so cold here." He said, catching both Allison's and Fay's attention, "Why?"
Allison rose from her seat and knelt before the young boy, "What you're feeling is the suffering and sadness of those below on the planet, Anakin. The Force mourns with those that mourn and wants to help but since they aren't powerful enough to use the Force like we can, it can only share with us what has happened."
Anakin nodded, looking sadly towards the planet, "So we can stop this?"
Allison nodded firmly, "That is why we are here, Anakin, to stop this coldness from spreading across the Galaxy."
Fay put her hand on Anakin's shoulder, "You and I will be handling the army of Droids that the Trade Federation has under its control, ok? I'll need all of your flying skills for that."
Anakin grinned, "Of course! Anything to help Padme!"
