Tokyo, Japan.
Jotaro Kujo, an Hope's Peak Academy Alumni and known as the Former Ultimate Marine Biologist, is returning to his house to finish his work.
He was tired, I mean, it was the norm for him.
He's been tired of everything since he was 17, when he defeated the mortal enemy of his family: Dio Brando.
After that, everything went quite downhill to him.
He saw half of his friends dying at the hands of Dio (plus one got in a coma), so he developed PTSD.
With that, he couldn't do anything about it and had ignore it because nearly no one would believe him.
He was constantly annoyed by girls who fangirled over him (and that happens to him since middle school until today as an divorced adult).
He was constantly attacked by Dio Brando's minions (which he defeated with ease, thank to his "Star Platinum" but it was still a pain in the ass for him)
He had to be distanced with his wife and daughter because he feared they might be attacked by Dio's minions and got divorced.
But atleast, he still had some friends and his former classmates from Hope's Peak.
When he arrived at home, he started to work and had a call with his mother, Holly Joestar/Kujo.
"Hello, Jotaro!" she said, with her usual happy tone, which it hadn't changed in years.
"Hello, Mum." Jotaro responded, with a calm, nearly monotone.
Dr. Jotaro Kujo
Former Ultimate Marine Biologist
"How are you?" Holly asked.
"I'm fine, I just returned from work, I wanted to finish certain things at home, How's going?"
"I'm fine, I wanted to ask if tomorrow you'll going to celebrate my birthday with me, your father and your grandparents."
"I will, I'm free tomorrow so, I can come visit. I'll come with gifts too obviously So, Jiji will also be there, huh? Now, I have to go. See you tomorrow, Mum."
"Okay, love you!"
"...Love you too, Mum." Jotaro closed the call. "Yare Yare...Let's finish this work quickly."
And so, the Marine Biologist did.
He managed to finish the job quickly thanks to his Stand, "Star Platinum", that gave him a hand.
Everything seemed fine, until he heard a bang on the door.
He immediately went to check, thinking it was an enemy Stand user. So, before he opened the door...
"[SUTA PURACHINA: ZA WARUDO!]"
He used his stand and stopped time.
He opened the door and noticed a there was fainted little girl. She had long dark brown hair tied in two low twintails and dark red eyes
Jotaro resumed time and checked the forehead of the girl.
"Her forehead is hot, I think she has a fever. It's better if I take her inside." he thought.
And so he did.
He let her rest in his bed, while he prepared some food for her.
The girl regained her senses, she was very weakened from the fever.
"Huh...? Where...Am I?" she asked.
"Huh, you woke up, little assassin." Jotaro said, pointing at the katana the girl had when she arrived.
"?!" The girl panicked, hearing Jotaro's words.
"Relax, I'm not going to bring you to the Police. I don't want to hurt you." The Biologist assured. "What's your name?"
"Maki...Harukawa." Maki introduced herself.
"Nice to meet you, Maki. I'm Jotaro Kujo, I'm a Marine Biologist. Here, I've bring some food for you, since you got a fever." Star Platinum gave her soup.
"You...have a ghost too, Mr. Kujo?" Maki asked.
Jotaro was surprised from the question, if she can see his Stand, that means she's a Stand user too.
"You can see him?" He responded. Maki nodded and summoned her Stand.
"It looks like a wasp, I like it." Jotaro said. "Now, take some rest, while I'm going to find your parents."
"I...don't have parents. I'm a orphan." Maki said.
"Oh, I see. Anyway, take some rest, I'll deal with this."
Jotaro left. Even if the little girl was an Assassin, he knew she wouldn't done anything now.
While Maki, in the bed, was thinking about the target of her mission: Jotaro himself.
"I'm supposed to kill him, but...He seems that he already dealt with a lot of things..." she thought, Maki noticed during the conversation Jotaro's eyes, they were green, but also empty, like ones of a person that escaped death many times. "But...If I don't kill him...The orphanage..." The girl was troubled between do it for the mission or surrender to her pity for the Biologist.
Meanwhile, Jotaro got some information about Maki.
"From what I found thanks to the Speedwagon Foundation, that girl is part of a cult of assassins called "Holy Salvation Society", that scouts orphan kids from various orphanage in Japan. Since she was here, I think I was her target. But by looking at her, she still has feelings so she wouldn't want to kill me because of what I did. If that's true, I wonder why they chose me as the target. Was it a request from one of Dio's minions?"
After that, the Marine Biologist returned to Maki.
"Oi, Maki." he said. "I can't contact your orphanage either so, for the moment, you may rest here for the night. After that, tomorrow we'll search togheter, okay?"
"Yes, Mr. Kujo."
So, Maki remained in Jotaro's house and decided to not kill him because ,thanks to his actions, she began to warm to him a little.
And the other side, Jotaro felt pity for her, wondering what that religious cult did to her and maybe, since with her wife and family failed, he could start once again with raising her, the little assassin can protect herself, so he wouldn't be forced to be distant.
However, Maki returned to the cult and simply said that her mission failed and tried to cover the fact that he took care of her. The girl continued her career as assassin but this time, her heart didn't completely became empty. Yes, she did adapted to the lifestyle of killing people, but still cared for Jotaro, who could have easily killed her or called the Police but he didn't and everytime she finished with her assassin job, she visited Jotaro daily, like she also lived there.
-The End-
