The next day
Raven is getting ready to leave for the spa.
Raven and Devon's room
Raven: You know I should go on this spa day alone. (Raven said fixing her hair in the mirror)
Devon: Rae, come on you and Chelsea had a great time together yesterday.
Raven: I did it for the kids...
Devon: (Not believing a word she saying) Come on Rae...
Raven: Okay maybe we had a little fun but that doesn't make up for the fact that she's keeping something from me. I'm supposed to be her best friend Devon. (She said looking very sad)
Devon: Just talk to her and see what's up. I guarantee you she will be more then happy to tell you whatever it is.
Raven: You really think so?
Devon: Yes baby
Raven: Okay, well I better get going now you got DJ right.
Devon: Yes baby
Raven: Okay make sure he takes a nap and feed my baby!
Devon: I got it don't worry.
Raven: Okay and I want my house to stay just the way I left it.
Devon: Yes baby now go.
Raven: Just one moment (she walks out to the hallway and called DJ and he ran to her) Hay baby mommy's about to go out with your aunt Chelsea can you stay here for me and keep a eye on daddy?
Devon: Keep a eye on daddy?
DJ: (laughed) YES
Raven: Alright my handsome man (she kissed her son goodbye) Well I guess I'm gone Devon.
Devon: Alright baby have fun
Devon picked up his son as they watched her pull out the driveway. They was just about to go back in the house when DJ noticed a car pulling in the driveway.
DJ: Daddy Car (he said pointing at it)
Devon: Oh that's your sister (Nia got out the car and said goodbye to her friends)
Nia: Hay dad
Devon: Hay sweetie what you doing home so early? I thought you and Booker was hanging out with your friends all day.
Nia: Yeah, Booker's still at the mall but I had a ton of school work I need to catch up on. So I caught a ride back home with Keke.
DJ: Hi Nia! (He said waving at his sister)
Nia: Hay you!! (She took him out her dad's hands as they walked back in the house)
Devon: Sweetie it's the weekend you would have had plenty of time for that. You know your only a teenager once.
Nia: Yeah I know dad.
Devon: Well come on D. (Nia put her brother down) What do you want to do?
DJ: WATCH COCOMEL!!! (He said jumping up and down)
Devon: I feared he would say that! (Nia Laughed)
Nia: You know he loves his cocomel.
Devon: Yeah but I don't, but come on son let's go watch it.
DJ: YAY!!!
Nia: Okay I will catch up with y'all later. (She said heading to the stairs)
DJ: No Nia come to! (He said looking at his sister)
Nia: Oh D I got some homework I gotta finish but I promise I will come as soon as I'm done. Okay?
DJ: Okay
A few minutes later Devon gets his son all his snacks. They go in the living room and both get comfortable on the couch. As DJ is watching TV Devon tried to keep himself entertained by scrolling on social media. But that soon stop once DJ notice his father wasn't paying attention.
DJ: No daddy look (he pointed at the TV)
Devon: I'm watching buddy. (He looked for a moment then went back to his phone)
DJ: DADDY!!!
Devon: (Not paying attention and looking at his phone) Yes son?
DJ said nothing he just took his dad's phone. Cocomel was very serious to him and he wanted his dad to pay attention. He got off the couch and took Devon's phone all the way across the room. Then came back to the couch.
DJ: Now pay attention Daddy!!
Devon: Okay son okay
They watched together for about 30 minutes before Devon fell asleep. Once DJ noticed he got off the couch and got one of his blankets and put it over his dad so he wouldn't be cold. Then he went to see what his sister was up too. He carefully went up the steps and went to his sister's room. Nia was sitting at her computer desk doing homework she had on her headphones so she didn't hear him come in. He walked over and peeped at what she was writing. When she noticed him he scared the crap out of her.
Nia: (snatching off her headphones) DJ you scared me!
DJ: (laughed) BOO!!!
Nia: Yes yes very funny. Hay where's dad?
DJ: (walking over to her bed then climbing on it) He's sleeping!! (He said jumping on her bed)
Nia: Lord, well do you wanna watch TV in my room?
DJ: YES!
Nia: Okay (She gets up and puts on some cartoons) Just keep it down okay I'm almost finished.
DJ: Okay
While Nia continue to finish her work her phone rang. It was her aunt Nadine. She had been trying to call Devon because her car stopped on the side of the road. But he wasn't answering the phone. So Nia went down stairs and woke him.
Nia: Hay dad (she said patting him on the shoulder)
Devon: (jumping up) Huh
Nia: Dad aunt Nadine been trying to call you. Her car broke down on the side of the road.
Devon: What? (Nia gave him her phone) Hello
Nadine: (very upset) How dare you not answer my phone calls!!
You saw me calling your butt!!
Devon: DJ took my phone and you need to calm down you know I ain't got to come help you. Besides you need a new car.
Nadine: (being sarcastic) Oh and do you have new car money?
Devon: Listen sis I ain't got no money! I gotta help the twins with college plus my Two year old this house and have you met my wife.
Nadine: Well then come down here and HELP ME!!
Devon: Send me your location
Nadine: Alright
Devon grabbed his jacket and his keys in his phone and headed for the door.
Devon: Wait where's your brother?
Nia: He's in my room watching a movie.
Devon: You think you can watch him for me till I get back?
Nia: Sure dad D won't be a problem.
Devon: Thanks baby it's some cash in the night stand by my bed order y'all some food. (He gave his daughter a hug before he left)
Nia: Okay
After he pulled out the driveway Nia locked all the doors. Then headed back up to her room. When she walked in she noticed her little brother was no longer on the bed but he was over at her computer table.
Nia: (nervous at what hee could be doing) DJ what are you doing?
DJ: I was looking at your markers.
Nia: (sigh of relief) Oh is that all.
DJ: Can I go color with them in my room?
Nia: Sure go on! I got one more paper to finish and when I'm done we can order some pizza.
DJ: Okay
About 30 more minutes past when Booker finally made it back home.
Booker: What up Nia
Nia: Oh Hay Book how was the movie?
Booker: It was alright mom still gone with Aunt Chelsea?
Nia: Yeah
Booker: Where's dad?
Nia: Aunt Nadine's car broke down so he went to help her.
Booker: Again she needs a new car.
Nia: (laughing) But I'm all done with my school work. So now I guess I will go order us some pizza. Dad left us some money.
Booker: Okay where DJ?
Nia: In his room coloring with some of my markers.
Booker: What?
Nia: What he wanted to color with them?
Booker: You let a 2-year-old play with markers unsupervised?
At that moment it registered in Nia's head what she might have just did. They both ran to DJ's room. When they got there they both screamed. DJ had drew all over his walls.
Nia: DJ WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!!
Booker: Nia it was nice knowing you but you about to get it!!
