BETA: Annabelle
Five's family was scattered throughout Dallas, Texas. In the 1960's, an apocalypse was coming, and the only two family members he could find were either unable to help him or flat out refused. Diego was stuck in a mental institution and Luther made it abundantly clear that if he were to help "it sure as hell wouldn't be with you."
Luther passed by Five, forcefully escorting a drunken salesman out of the club at the request of his boss, Jack Ruby.
"Dad should have left him on the moon," Five said as he took a shot of whiskey.
It was hard enough getting his siblings together to fight the first apocalypse, and now it was like starting all over again.
Five motioned to the bartender.
"Give me something stronger."
"What do you want?"
"Surprise me," Five replied.
The bartender nodded. He grabbed two bottles from the shelf behind him, and started mixing a drink. Five didn't see what the bottles were, but he also didn't care. A glass with a clear drink was set before him.
"Thanks."
He tried it—suitably strong. However, it was late, and seeing as how there was nothing else he could do tonight, his main goal was to get completely wasted before returning to Elliot's place. Five signaled the bartender and ordered some more whiskey shots as well.
Trying to get his siblings to take apocalypses seriously was more challenging than it should be. Five took two shots then continued drinking whatever he was given.
"Five?"
Five turned and saw Viktor standing next to him.
"Viktor. Come to tell me how badly I screwed up your life when I dropped you in Dallas, too?" He asked.
Viktor sat down.
"No, but it's been less than a month for me," Viktor said. "I was just waiting for you to come back. I knew you would."
The bartender refilled the shot glasses in front of Five.
"Good to see you haven't given up." Five drank a whiskey shot. "Have you seen the others?"
Viktor shook his head.
"No, sorry," he replied.
Five sighed.
"I found Diego and Luther."
Five finished, taking another shot.
"You know, we brought the apocalypse with us when we jumped back in time. Nuclear war, and I don't know how to stop it. I asked those idiots for help but one is locked up and the other doesn't care," Five stated, drinking the last shot. "Is saving the world too much to ask?"
"I guess it's a good thing I'm here, isn't it?"
Five looked at Viktor carefully, before standing up.
"If you want to help, then we need to stick together. Come with me, I have a place we can stay," he said.
Viktor hesitated.
"I'll have to say goodbye to the people I'm staying with, but sure."
"Well, that's one sibling; we just have four more to go," Five noted. He motioned towards the door, "We'll talk more on the way to Elliot's place."
"Who's Elliot?"
"I'll tell you on the way," Five said, heading towards the exit.
He paused.
"But I'm glad you're here."
"I'll always be here, Five. I'm on your side," Viktor noted.
"Thanks," Five replied. "It means a lot."
Viktor shrugged.
"Of course."
