Dear Diary,

Well, its a good thing I've been paying attention in class lately and not doodling Adrien's name in little love hearts, because today the Akuma villain gave us a quiz!

It all started when Alya and I were hanging out at the museum this morning, looking at the past Ladybug holders statues. I was sketching them as we looked, and Diary, if I flip back through my book I think I could make some new outfits! Score!

"There has to be more seals of the Guardians," Alya says, but I'm only half-listening as I focus on my sketch. "There!" Alya zooms in on a picture across from the statue I was sketching and sure enough there's a symbol! "So, this lady was a holder of the Rabbit Miraculous?" The bunny the woman is holding is so cute, Diary! Kinda when Cat used the Rabbit Miraculous, but secretly I called him Bunny Noir! He even had a white puff ball tail, how cute is that?! How cute is he? Okay, so….I might have taken a moment to doodle Cat's name in little hearts, but that's secret!

"Miraculous holders are always pictured solo, and never together," I say. The thought makes me sad. Even if I was there, I love the statue of Cat and I in the park near my house. "But there had to be some love stories between some of them. A Ladybug and Cat Noir in love, it must of happened at some point."

"Or maybe they just focused on the job and kept their lovey-dovey stuff out of their superhero like you should." I start to deflate as Alya prattles on, Cat has always said he loves me, and now I love him back. And who said someone else gets to decide my love story? Besides, I like how I can tell Cat things I can't or have a hard time saying as Marinette. He really is my best friend, Diary. Apart from you, of course! "Preferably with the boy you've been in love for a long time. Who's finally interested in you?"

Man, the tables have flipped haven't they? Its not like I don't like Adrien, I do! I just don't want to make the same mi skate as last time, or something worse. I'm glad Adrien's my friend though. "Does a certain Adrien ring any bells?" "No, oh no. Being in love with Adrien has brought me nothing but trouble. Never again." I have to be firm on this, but even as I write this I feel my resolve slightly wavering. "Tikki, it must have happened in the past. A Ladybug in love with a Cat Noir?" "Well, yes, but there was no evil Monarch intent on stealing the Miraculous back then." If it wasn't for Monarch, Diary, could we be in love and no problems? Oh, wait, because of Monarch is why we have our Miraculous! Arrgh, why is my love life so complicated?!

"So, things were going on between them?" "Oh, I don't much about romance," Tikki says, "maybe it would be best if you asked her yourself." "Can we do that?" "Yes, Marinette! With your kawtaga!"

I unfasten the necklace from around my neck. Now to find the hidden secret spot. "Scoop, there's a way to talk to Miraculous holders from the past?" Alya asks, as I show her my necklace. "Just touch the seal with your Yamagata and say, "Reunion!""

When I get close to the statue, it suddenly lights up, startling me. I stumble backwards and hit a picture and it falls off the wall, setting the alarm off. Diary, could I have one day where nothing falls including me? Thank you.

There's a letter on the back of picture. "What's that?" Alya asks. "It looks like its been here for hundreds of years," I tell her as she holds it. "And its addressed to," I squint to read the writing, "Alix Kubdel?"

"What happened here?" Alix's dad asks as he puts the picture back up on the wall. "A letter, for you," I say, handing him the envelope. He reads silently for a moment. "Its news from my daughter!" "From Alix?" Alya and I say together. Well, wherever she is in time, I glad to know she's all right.

Mr. Kubdel invites the class to listen to Alix's letter. And Diary, I got to sit next to Adrien! Everyone passes the photos around, and in each photo Alix is waving and smiling at the camera like she's having the best time ever.

When Adrien passes one of the photos to me, our hands brush and I feel a zap of electricity. My face burns, but I liked the soft look he gave me with those soft green eyes….

Alix's brother Jalil, isn't happy about the letter though, as he tells his father he's doing nothing. "Alix was brainwashed by Ladybug." I have to set this straight. "No, she willingly wanted to help Ladybug and Cat Noir restore peace." "But how could she help them if she's not even here? Can't you see this makes zero sense?" "I was there when Ladybug gave Alix her Miraculous. Where are you hearing these ridiculous theory?" "Listen." Jalil taps a button his Alliance ring, and my stomach clenches up and not in a good way.

Its people on social media blaming me for losing the Miraculous. "Since Alix has been gone you've spent way to much time on social media." "Yeah, well, at least I'm doing something to get Alix back!" he yells and walks out of the room.

Diary, I know I did the right thing. Deep breath, and hold your chin high. "Um, hey, Marinette," Adrien says, and his cheeks were this bright red color, Diary. Have I even seen Adrien blush before? Usually, that's me!

"Since I don't have to be home right away," he continues, "how would you like to go somewhere? Like to a movie?"

I jump up. I'd love to, but I must stay strong! Besides, I want to find the Ladybug holder of the past while I'm here. "No way. I mean, no way, I mean, we really can't. Cause uh, we have history homework." Ugh, when will be the day I can stop making excuses?

Alya makes sure the coast is clear, and gives the thumbs-up signal. "Actually, I'm not sure if its a good idea to bother Joan with that kind of thing," Tikki says. "She has a very hot temper you know."

"Don't worry," I tell Tikki as I search for the symbol. "Its going to be okay." I find it on the bottom of the statue. Bingo! "Reunion!" My necklace glows and suddenly I am surrounded by a pink light and what looks like profile pics floating in the air.

"The one your looking for is here," Tikki says, pointing to a stern looking lady. I reach towards the picture, but I'm to short to reach it! Oh, could I be just a little taller?

I leap looking more like a frog then a Ladybug (at least I've ever heard of a ladybug leaping like a frog, Diary, though that is kinda funny, ha ha!)

"Hello, what is your name you clumsy young holder?" The woman is right, I'm clumsy as I look up at her from my position on the ground. I start to stammer, and I need to pull it together before she gets annoyed or worse! "Marinette," I finally manage to say. "What's the matter with you, girl?" Alya asks, looking at me strangely. "You hearing voices or something?" "They used to direct similar inquires to me as well. You shall become accustomed to it." "There, there in the armor," I show Alya. "Can't you see her?" "No." "Only you and I can see the holder, Marinette. Hello, Joan, nice to see you again."

Great, so it looks like I'll be talking to myself in front of Alya. Though, I do admit sometimes I talk to myself during sewing as it calms me and helps me focus. "So, what do you need my help with?" Joan asks. Oh, Diary, my request seems so foolish now. "The thing is, you Marinette have fallen in love with the Miraculous holder of the Black Cat." "I beg thy pardon?" Diary, Tikki then proceeds to ramble on to Joan about my love life! How embarrassing!

"I can't believe my ears. Are you bothering me about a mere love story? End of reunion," she says, looking away.

I can't give up now, Diary! "Wait, Tikki told me you fell in love with Cat Noir too. I need to know more." But she's steadfastly ignoring me.

"Well, maybe one of your partners will be more chatty," I say to Joan, backing up to the Rabbit Holder's picture that Alya and I looked at earlier. "Don't bother. You may only gather the memories of the Miraculous you carry," she says, smugly.

Suddenly, the room is bathed in a golden light and a shelf of books traps us in. "Its just us in here," Alya gives me the all clear.

"Tikki, Spots On!" I start to run towards the shelf, then skid to a stop realizing Joan is still here. "What are you still doing here?" I ask. "Well, what do you think, poppet? You never ended the reunion." Oh, right.

I send my yo-yo hurling towards the shelf, but all the result of that is I get bonked on the head. Then a book appears and starts to ask a question. "Question: Who was King of France on March 15th 1423?" Okay, Diary, I didn't quite no the answer to the first question on the top of my head….heh heh….

A hour glass appears as the pages flip, each page containing a bit more sand on the bottom. "Do you know that?" I ask Alya who digs out her phone. "Got a signal?" Alya asks, as I type the question into my bug phone. "Nothing." "This a question only Bunnix could figure out." "Bunnix, or someone who lived during that time," I smile as I turn to Joan.

Joan proceeds to give a history lesson, and I all I can do is bounce with impatience as time is running out! "Please, Joan!" "Well, no one!" she finally says. "Thank you," I sigh. "No one was recognized as king on March 15th 1423."

The first of the walls of books falls, and I call out to Cat Noir just as he is about to use his Cataclysm. "Cat Noir, no! Don't waste your power!" "But M'lady, I can't answer its question." "Be this the kitty you are crushing on?" Joan asks. "Look how puny he is!"

Puny? Even if my Kitty was puny, he's the bravest, kindest, lovable fur ball on the planet. If he hadn't been there that day, Diary…..Deep breath. Move on.

"Yes, but he's sensitive and caring," I argue with her. "Um, are you hearing voices or something?" Cat asks. "Actually, I'm talking to Joan," I point her out. Wait. Oops.

"Thanks to this kawgtama Tikki made for me, I was able to get in touch with the memory of the Ladybug holders before me. You can't see her, but she's there." "Wow, I didn't even know that was possible." "And thanks to Joan, I was able to answer that first question." "That's M'lady! Using that hakuma matata thing."

That cute derpy look on his face, and those eyes...Focus, Marinette. "Yes, that's it," I squeak.

"That won't help us with this next question," Cat tells me. "What do you mean?" "Can you repeat the question?" Cat asks, turning back to the book. "What will the weather be like 200 years on this day?"

Sheesh, that is a tough question. "That's not a history question. That's science fiction!" "Only Bunnix can answer that." "Its to dangerous to return to the present. Lucky Charm!"

A pen drops down into my hand. "And what shall you be doing with your puny little sword?" Joan asks. I take a moment to think and look around the room. "We're going to send a letter," I tell them, running into action. "And fast."

I give Alix all the instructions she needs plus a xoxo to tell her I'm thinking about her. I swing down into the Egyptian gallery where Cat is waiting for me, and I take the pamphlet from the cat just as I instructed Alix.

"There will be a thunderstorm," I tell the book with confidence. Another wall falls and we meet the akuma villain and Pharaoh has returned. It reminds me of when I play video games with my Dad, as we reach the last level. "You were just lucky!" he yells at us. "No, it's all about teamwork!"

Cat calls for his Cataclysm and just as I throw my yo-yo towards the book to grab, the book is once again protected by shelter. What's worse, is Pharaoh grabs Cat Noir!

"Come on, Ladybug. Give me your earrings and admit your the villain. Unless you want to find out the truth about Cat Noir." "Why aren't you doing anyway," Joan tells me. "I am doing something. I'm thinking."

"Pharaoh, you put all those people in danger just so to find out if I'm the villain. If your book really knows everything, why don't you ask it and find out for yourself?" Pharaoh tosses Cat to the ground. "Cat Noir?" I ask, making sure he's not hurt, and he gives me a thumbs up sign.

"Book of Truth, is Ladybug really the heroine she claims to be? Did Alix really leave on her own free will?" "True!" "Monarch, take back your blasted powers!"

He breaks free of the akuma and falls to the ground. "No more evil doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-elize!"

"I'm sorry I doubted you, Ladybug," Alix's brother says as I Cat and I help him stand up.

After we say goodbye, its time to say goodbye to Joan as well. "You and Cat Noir are much stronger then you look," she tells me.

"Please tell me your story before you go," I ask, and she does tell me her story. It worries me though, Diary. To be with Cat…..will I have to give up my Miraculous?

That's a question for another day, Diary.
