Friends Divided - Prologue
AU-Cannon Divergence Starting in Episode 19 during a Battle against Onyx that is not going so well. In a last ditch effort Amy is send back in time. But that will not fix all her problems.
It was going so well. Colby had just been freed from Onyxes Mind Control, but now Onyx is standing before us.
"Okay that's it, I've had enough of this dude." said Hartley picking up dad's fusion blaster. "You're done messing with my friends."
And that's when Onyx energy bolt flew straight through her head. Hartley couldn't even react before she was falling towards the ground.
"Noooooo Hartley" I screamed as ran over to her, not registering what I already knew. That she was dead. There was a reason Onyx was the Leader of the League of Villains. He, unlike most heroes and villains didn't try to be as non-lethally as possible.
Meanwhile the rest of my family began engaging Onyx. We all knew how dangerous he is, and how important it was to not give him any chance at another kill shot. Surge shot electricity at him while Flashform did the same with his kinetic manipulation. Chaos ran towards the nearest car, presumably to throw at him, while Kraniac was busy trying to pick up the weapon Hartley had dropped when she died. However both attacks just deflected on a automatic shield that one of Onyxes devices provided him. Onyx used this time to charge a cannon on the left arm of his suit, and when Surge and Flashform ended their attack, Onyx unleashed a massive cone of energy, missing me but vaporizing the rest of my family instantly. Just as he was turning towards me, he stopped, and Starling was dropping from the sky to the place Chaos had stood moments before.
As I was about to hit him with a Sonic Blast, I heard Starling shout "Stop! You can't attack him". "Why not?" I responded. "He killed my entire family and my best friend!"
"If you attack him while he's frozen in time, it will end the effect on him. And then we're both dead. But there still is a chance to fix this." "How?" "I think I can use my power to send someone other than myself back in time. But I have never done this before, so I don't know when you will end up." I was about to respond when she continued "We don't have much time. I can already feel the time freeze weakening. Just stay still." She was waving her arms in a circular fashion, and I felt myself being pulled backwards through a portal before falling unconscious.
