Chapter 8: The Antibody Assassins
After a long chase across the rooftops, The Digimon Knights finally caught up to the three mysterious robed characters. They had regrouped with several other unknown entities.
"We've finally caught up to you!" Impmon declared.
"Now give us some answers!" he threatened.
Guilmon remained battle ready and cautious as he questioned. "Takashi Mishima is beaten. Is there a reason why you killed him?"
The hooded figure answered Guilmon's question with a chuckle.
"Look at you, being mister goody-two shoes. Did you really think putting him behind bars would be good for everyone? We know you wanna kill him more than anything." The group's leader replied with a dark edge in their voice, the sound of his voice shocked the Digimon Knights.
A chill ran down his spine as Terriermon stammered out, "Guilmon, he has the same voice as you!"
"Just... who are you?!" Guilmon demanded.
The leader of the hooded Digimon scoffed and removed his robes. revealing his true being to the red dino Digimon and his friends.
They were a second group of Digimon. The leader looked like an altered version of Guilmon. His open jacket revealed he lacked the Hazard emblem of the original and has a thin black line over his muzzle and two over his eyes. He also wore a pair of black shorts which stopped by his shins and a pair of red boots.
The second figure then revealed herself to be another Renamon, who too had notable differences in her appearance compared to her original counterpart.
Her fur was scruffier and spikey, giving her a more feral appearance. Instead of purple, she had red marking on her cheeks and thighs. A yin-yang symbol was emblazoned on her forehead. Instead of one, two tails flowed from her back. Her outfit consisted of dark purple racer bodysuit and some dark black high-heeled boots.
Next to take off his robes is someone who looked like Terriermon but has green like hair growing on his ears and has a long tail. He wore a dark green outfit like suit which cover his body.
A Lopmon look alike took her robe off next. She has puff of fur under her ears and has a puffy tail. She wore a battle female body armour and some high heeled boots.
Next to reveal themselves is someone who looked just like Impmon, expect he has a eye patch over left ear, wore a long tattered scarf and has one blue and one red glove. He wore a dark black biker jacket and jeans and wield two guns.
The last of the group took off their robes to reveal they looked like Cyberdramon, Guardromon and MarineAngemon only their appearances are different too.
The Digimon Knights were understandably shocked at what they had come across.
"What in the world is going on...? Have you suddenly got twins?" Lopmon spoke out.
"We're not your exact duplicates of you, but we were made by your Data accompanied with the power of the Antibody program." The Renamon look-a-like said in reply.
"Antibody program? Just who are you guys?" Renamon asked.
"You call call me, Renamon X." The second Renamon merely spoke before turning and introducing her allies. "Along with me are MarineAngemon X, Impmon X, Lopmon X, Terriermon X, Guardromon X, and our leader, Guilmon X."
Still puzzled but being his usual arrogant self, Impmon scoffed. "So you're all us but with an X at the end of our names, talk about lame."
"Ha! Says the foolish one who once said humans were nothing but weak garbage!" Impmon X retorted in reply.
Questions raced through Renamon's mind. She settled on the most important. "Just how did you came into creation exactly?" She asked.
"We know our Dark doubles were created from our negative emotions, but you guys are a whole new story." Terriermon added.
"We were created by Indramon, but we would rather be our own Digimon. We have free will and we refuse to be used like mere puppets." Renamon X said, crossing her arms with a pestered huff.
Guilmon remained scowling as he said. "Indramon?! So he IS involved in this!?"
Guilmon X to turn his back, explaining how they came into existence, telling the original Digimon. "Our creation was his own little experiment, a way he could exact his revenge and also gain control over your unique strengths and abilities."
"During your final fight with your Dark copies, the data that each of you lost from your wounds was scattered across the land. In its current form, the data was harmless, that was until Indramon came across it..."
"Managing to keep the data from erasing itself, Indramon kept the data securely stored within test tube containers. And preserving the data by using the Antibody program and the Reboot Program, the data eventually mutated and gained sentience. In other words, Indramon kept storing the data in larger and larger containers until we were created."
Listening to the origins of the X Digimon, Dawnmon broke the silence as she asked. "The Reboot Program?"
"It's what the Syndicate plans to use to revive their allies so they can strike terror into the Real World multiple times" Lopmon X said informed.
"But that is a forbidden programming!" BlackGatomon cried out, expressing her growing concern. "The Sovereigns said it was too dangerous to use!"
"Very correct." Terriermon X sneered, rubbing his hands together. "But of course, we didn't go along with Indramon's plans."
"All Indramon wanted from us was to terrorize the Real World, to spread fear within the humans. However, our free will allowed us to think of a far suitable plan instead." Guardromon X added.
"We betrayed the Syndicate, burned their old base down, took the Reboot Program for ourselves and returned to the Real World." Impmon X finished with a casual smile, as if their story was nothing too special.
"Ever since then, we have remained hidden within the Real World and biding our time. Luckily for us, we were able to mask our data by remaining in a close proximity toward each of you." Lopmon X explained.
"And during that time..." Guilmon X growled, turning himself toward Guilmon. "We are disgusted on how you guys work... Letting scumbugs like Mishima and others live so they hope they can repent? Ridiculous!"
"We know you have some code you formed with your human partners when they were still around, but we are bound by no such laws. We are the Antibody Assassins." Impmon X declared, crossing his arms in triumph. "We will do what you guys should've done and wiped out any and all of these distasteful humans, as well as take out any Digimon and take their Data for ourselves instead of just letting it go back to the Digital World!"
"You can't do that!" Filymon declared. "Some of these Digimon didn't know why they were following the Syndicate, they were just acting on instinct."
"And not all humans and Digimon are bad, not when you get to know them!" Terriermon added.
"Hmph... You lot have been doing it for a while as well, deleting Digimon and taking their Data, but you just stopped." Renamon X said back, pointing a accusing finger toward Renamon. "All because you have the need to protect humanity."
"What we've done is the right thing. Killing people isn't any form of justice!" Renamon snarled in protest.
"Hold on a second! You took the Reboot Program for yourselves right? What's the reason for that?!" Cyberdramon suddenly questioned.
"Why reveal the surprise so soon? But let's just say... we're doing some... tests on it before we use it for our final objective." Cyberdramon X said in reply, expressing a dark and sinister tone.
"The death of Takashi Mishima is just the beginning. Our work here in the Real World will serve as a beacon, a warning of what is to eventually come. In a torrent of blood, we will purge the corruption from this city, then the two worlds will be cleansed." Terriermon X added.
"I've got some notes for you, pal. One: Cut back on the cliches. Two: Start over but don't do any of that." Terriermon said back.
"Then we won't waste your time. We've only let you survive for the time being because you proved useful in bringing that scumbug of a human down. That being said however, you lot held your human partners back from their true greatness..." Renamon X said, which didn't abide too well with the Digimon Knights.
"Wrong! Our Tamers helped us achieve our greatest potential! How dare you speak of them in such a way like you could do better!" Renamon snapped angrily.
"Whatever you plan to do with this 'Reboot Program', we now know that you're our enemies, and we won't let you get away with it!" Guilmon declared.
"Sadly we're not in the mood to fight... but..." Guilmon X began to say with a scowl, before he brought up his right hand. "We prepared a special playmate for you."
He snapped his fingers twice, Guardromon X and Cyberdramon X to stand aside. A new figure stepped forward.
Out of the shadows stepped a tall and muscular lion-like Digimon, which had a thin tuft of orange fur running all along his body, showing off his muscular physique. He also has a yellow mane, alongside yellow fur on his hind legs and at the tip of his tail.
The Knights were taken aback by the sight of this familiar face
However, they noticed that his eyes were glowing a sinister green
But they also saw that he is naked, his huge cock and balls showing.
"Leomon?!" Guardromon called in shock.
"Eww... he's butt naked! I can see his junk!" Terriermon then said in disgust.
"Surprised? This is the same Leomon who was Jeri's partner." Guardromon X informed.
"What?! But I killed him and took his Data!" Impmon called out, expressing his confusion.
"You can thank me for that!" Impmon X cackled in reply, before withdrawing a small strange syringe type-like object from out of his jacket pocket and held it up. "I used this Data Stealer on you while you were sleeping, taking Leomon's Data right out of you."
"WHAT?!" Impmon snapped in outrage to this violation.
"He was our first test subject using the Reboot Program, and he has been a success." Lopmon X said as she walked around the naked and enslaved Leomon. "Sadly, his clothing wasn't reformed with his rebirth, but that isn't too much of a problem. He has just been let out a short time ago."
"You brainwashed him?!" Dawnmon snapped.
"Now that is such a dirty word. We prefer that we helped him move on with his life and saw things our side" Renamon X replied.
She walked up to Guilmon X's side and both nod to each other.
"Free him right now!" Renamon demanded angrily.
Guilmon X ignored her and looked toward Leomon. "Leomon! Eliminate them!" He ordered.
"Guilmon. If you somehow manage to win, don't even think to try and find us. If you do, then we won't show any mercy." He then spoke.
The Antibody Digimon took their leave, using a combination of Impmon X's flame attack and Guardromon X's missiles to create a makeshift smokescreen, allowing their retreat.
"Get back here!" Impmon yelled.
Refusing to allow his enemies to rush off scot free and hurrying after them, Impmon was then knocked down as Leomon slammed his fist hard into his gut, the impacting force of the attack causing his foe to crash to the ground and to land in pain before the other Digimon Knights.
"Impmon!" Guilmon called in concern, before seeing Leomon now rushing toward them.
"Leomon, stop!" Terriermon called out desperately, but found he too suffered the power of the brainwashed Digimon as Leomon delivered a swift kick to Terriermon's head.
Leomon then leap up and use both legs in a split kick, to strike down Guilmon and Renamon, his attack causing the pair to stagger back.
Although it appeared that Leomon held the upper hand in their conflict, BlackGatomon knew the bond they once shared with the naked lion was playing against them.
However, she had no troubles in knocking some sense.
"Lightning Paw!"
Lunging toward Leomon and with her right arm drawing in energy for a powerful uppercut, BlackGatomon was taken aback as Leomon vanished with his superior speed, before reappearing from the left side and striking the dark furred feline with his own uppercut attack.
"Ember Sparks!"
Dawnmon summoned a series of small embers that she then cast down and upon Leomon, who swept past the inferno, before jumping forward and headbutting Fillymon in the face, before kicking her into the phoenix Digimon.
"I guess we have no choice but to fight back!" Cyberdramon said, hating the idea of going into combat with a Digimon who once acted as an ally, but he knew there was no other option. "Cyber Nail!"
Despite being an Ultimate Level Digimon and his great power, Leomon leapt over Cyberdramon's raking claws, before kicking the cybernetically enhanced Digimon in the chest with both feet.
"Terrier Tornado!"
Remaining strong and united, Terriermon spun around, creating a small tornado breeze with his body, which circled around Leomon.
Leomon stood his ground, taking no harm from Terriermon's attack.
However, the dog-rabbit was merely a distraction. Lopmon fired her Blazing Ice attack.
Leomon shot through the attack, clenched his claws around Lopmon's face and threw her into Terriermon, leaving the pair to collapse together.
"Warning Laser!"
Guardromon released a set of lasers from his eyes, the frequency of his attack intentionally held back so it would only stun Leomon.
But Leomon vanished before his attack again before reappearing just before Guardromon, who he kicked in his armoured chest, sending him crashing atop of MarineAngemon.
Leomon had just rose, only to be kicked to the side of his face by Guilmon.
"Leomon, enough! Don't you recognise us?!" Guilmon questioned in desperation.
Leomon ignored him and used his Fist of the Beast King Attack several times, sending a series of blazing lion projections upon the dinosaur Digimon.
Guilmon quickly leapt around to swiftly avoid the onslaught.
Renamon and BlackGatomon leapt into action, trying their best in uniting their attacks as one.
However, Leomon blocked each of their punches and kicks.
Renamon and BlackGatomon each threw a fierce kick at Leomon.
The other Digimon instead grabbed their legs and slammed both of them into the ground.
"Renamon! BlackGatomon!" Fillymon cried out.
Enraged, Guilmon dashed forward.
He then delivered a kick of his own into Leomon's chest.
Te forced caused Leomon to let go of the lovers' legs.
Leomon wiped the blood running down his lip and turned his focus solely upon the dinosaur.
"Bada Boom!"
Impmon cast forth a single wick of flame from his finger upon Leomon.
Unfortunately it did nothing to him.
Leomon then brought his hand around Guilmon's throat, grasping tightly as he held his struggling form upward.
"Stop, Leomon! Don't you remember that you're our friend?!" Lopmon cried desperately as she and Terriermon slowly pulled themselves to their feet.
Leomon ignored her and continued to clench his hand tighter around Guilmon's throat, almost choking him.
However, Guilmon fought back when he grasped Leomon's hand with both claws.
He then begins to slowly force his hand open, stunning Leomon.
"This isn't you, Leomon! What would Jeri say if she saw you right now!?" Guilmon yelled.
He then finally broke free from Leomon's grasp.
He then followed up with a whack of his tail to the lion man's face.
Guilmon rubbed his throat a little, before Renamon rush by his side and helped him to his feet.
Guilmon and Renamon nod together before charing at Leomon together, their fists powered up by flames and a mystical aura.
"Pyro Fist/Diamond Power Paw!"
They collided their combined attacked into Leomon's chest.
The lion cried in pain as dark mist exited his body before collapsing.
With Leomon defeated, The Knights looked down at him.
They saw his fingers twitch and hear him groan lightly.
Slowly, he shifted himself back to his hands and knees.
"Not again. Everyone, keep alert!" Guardomon warned.
However, Leomon rose his head upwards and saw Guilmon.
"Guilmon?" He asked.
Guilmon and the others were shocked hear the lion Digimon speak his name.
His eyes had lost the strange wickedness and had returned to his normal blue colour.
"Leomon? You... said my name?" Guilmon asked as he slowly made his way toward the confused lion Digimon.
"Of course I know your name, but you look... older." Leomon said.
He then noticed Renamon and her 'assets'. "Renamon? You look different too." He replied.
"Are you back to normal?" Renamon asked.
The lion Digimon still looked confused on his allies' appearances.
He then saw Impmon and stood up in shock.
"Impmon? But I thought you absorbed my Data!" Leomon said, perplexed.
"If you remembered that, then you are indeed Jeri's Leomon." Impmon said with a small relief in his voice. "Yeah, I absorbed your Data, but someone took your data out of me and used it to revive you."
"Revive me? What do you...?" Leomon began to say, but was cut short when he looked himself down and saw that he was naked.
Quickly cupping his crotch with both his hands, Leomon shouted. "Where are my clothes?!"
"Momentai. We'll explain from the beginning." Terriermon assured.
Telling Leomon exactly what had passed since his death, Leomon was devastated to learn of Jeri's fate.
"So... Jeri's dead... along with all our human partners?" Leomon questioned.
"Because of the assassin of the Syndicate." BlackGatomon said solemnly.
"Jeri..." Leomon said silently.
"And now... you been resurrected by our Antibody counterparts, who put you under some kind of mind control, but we finally freed you." Renamon said softly as she rubbed Leomon's back..
"The Syndicate and the Antibody Assassins will pay dearly for what they've done!" Leomon snarled as he then rose from the ground. "Let me join your order of Digimon Knights. I wish to protect everyone and defeat the evil in Jeri's honour!"
"Of course. We're all together again." Guardromon said.
"Poof poof!" MarineAngemon said as he happily floated around Leomon, sprinkling small heart shaped bubbles tend to Leomon's remaining injuries.
"Let's get you back to base and get you some new clothes." Dawnmon suggested.
Her voice took on a teasing tone as she gazed at Leomon's buttocks.
"We can't have you running around here naked." She smirked.
As the others take their leave, BlackGatomon noticed something.
Guilmon and Renamon gazed at the moon in worry.
"The Antibody Assassins. I never thought we'd be forced to faced another versions of us, unlike our Black selves." Renamon said as she wrapped her arms around Guilmon's arm. "What do you think they are planning...?"
"I have no idea, but we must stop them at all costs." Guilmon said.
BlackGatomon went up to them and place comforting paws upon their shoulders.
"I know how you feel, but we need to find where they are hiding. Maybe Mr. Wong and Calumon have some answers." She suggested.
Guilmon and Renamon nodded at BlackGatomon.
They left the rooftops to return to their newly made Hypnos headquarters.
Their true fight has just begun.
