A/N: Hello fanfiction readers, I have returned! This time with a new story that is going to be quite a bit different from my other ones. This one will be a series of minor short stories focusing on the BEASTARS main couple Haru and Legosi, however, they're going to be gender bent. Now, to make this more unique, their appearances, situations, environment, and reactions to certain things will be slightly altered. Their personalities will be pretty close. Their names will be 'Haruo' & 'Legoshia' yea not very creative with the names XD lol

Now, this is a warm up story, so some stuff may be a little off. Just going to give it a whirl since I haven't touched a story bored in… yikes… a year? Maybe half a year. Anyway, without bickering over the time, let's give this go!

Reminder again, I am very rusty.

A Day's Dilemma

The ear ringing screams of an academy bell blasted through the air as many anthropomorphic animal students almost leaped out of their pelts. A group of nearby bantering zebras stampeded past the freshly watered courtyard and onto the sidewalk. Their shoes tracking dirt and who knows what else onto the pavement. A bunch of rodents barely had time to scurry out of the way before the striped heard stomped them, only to angrily wave their fists afterwards. But the beetle juice colored horses paid no mind of their carelessness and continued on. For today was a special day for some, there was fliers to join new opening for after school clubs!

It all looked so promising for the vast majority, except for one shadow that stood further away from the others.

A taller female wolf with a muscular build sat on a nearby park bench. Her broad shoulders hidden beneath a thick black koi fish sweat shirt with jean capris and black crocs. Fur was long as that of a tundra wolf with a dull gold shade on-top of a white face and belly. Nails bitten down to a smooth curse and a slacked bottom jaw with much longer teeth. Dark circles hanging under dull grey orbs for eyes. Legoshia was this wolf's name, and she paid no mind to the others rushing sitting inside the mess hall.

She didn't like crowded areas anyway, nor sitting with others that she never spoke to. Sitting outside with a small bag of cheezits was her favorite way to spend a lunch break. Her deep grey eyes watched her shadow intently. The ghostly black shape followed her movements while she fingered her food one bite at a time. Normally she'd shovel it in when in a hurry and starving, but out in public, even when alone, she had some decency. Regardless of what her 'mega vanilla' fashion choices might've portrayed.

"Hey, look who it is!" Came a familiar male voice.

Legoshia sighed, oh great, here we go again.

A tall broad black horse sauntered over while wearing a red football jersey with a gold number 3. One of the jocks that had often sat in front of her in speech. Though she never paid attention, she rather had focused on chatting with one of the few friends she enjoyed being with. The horse, with the name of 'Angel' smirked at her quiet behavior. No doubt knowing she was one of the lone nerds of the school.

"Hey look, I saw you hanging around alone… like always. Was thinking… why don't you come with me and some friends to a club after-school? It'd be super fun!"

Legoshia sighed, knowing this little 'peer pressure' trick in disguise from a thousand miles away. She knows of some of the things the football team and their 'dates' did after hours. While she had no proof, she also didn't want to risk it.

"No thanks," She said in her lethargic monotone voice. "I have stuff to do."

Angel smirked and leaned forward, no doubt seeing her exhausted tire and badly slumped posture. Despite being a herbivore, he sure was looking at her as if she was nothing but a chipmunk.

"Pff, no need to turn this down. Come on, ever been with a horse before? We make some pretty good meals!" He waved his fingers in front of her nose, as if trying to entice the carnivore with his scent.

Legoshia didn't break her deadpanned stare.

"No, and I don't plan to..."

Lightning seemed to strike as Angel drew back in sheer offense. Not that this gave her any pleasure, she just was not in the mood to deal with this.

"Well, that's rude!"

"No… I just have a type… and you're not it… thanks for the offer though." With that as her parting words, she quickly got up and moved the opposite direction.

Legoshia pinched the ridge between her eyes in sheer frustration. Why do these jokers insist on thinking she could fall to peer pressure? Ugh, her heart started to pinch with the regret at the way she spoke. But fear of what they'd do kept her miles away. When would the popular kids understand that bullying the student that does not even want to be noticed was futile?

Though she didn't entirely blame their efforts when her whole vibe screamed 'scapegoat'.

Shaking her head, Legoshia just kept on her way. Pulling her sweatshirt up further up her shoulders, stopping for a second to see her reflection in a nearby puddle. Her ears slightly lowered as she looked to a nearby group of other female wolves talking to other males. They were just so different from her, not as broad and bett- She furiously shook her head, no, she was not falling for the comparison trap.

Trying to straighten her badly slumped shoulders, she went to the one place that she was so excited to go to escape the chaos of existing. Her dorm room where she stayed with another lone wolf. But they never socialized with each other, little lone other canines, so it was like having the whole area to herself.

With a renewed skip to her step, she could hear her art and keyboard calling as she picked up the pace and vanished into the stairwell. Eager to begin a new project on subjects she knew absolutely nothing about.

Many plants laid lined up along the walls inside a big green room. At the feet of the pots was a wide array of work out equipment. A slim built male hare with blackish brown fur laid on the floor, pushing himself up and down quickly to loud music blaring in his head sets. His fur was a bit messy around the ears, but he was always well groomed, so it stayed in place a good length in time. Long bangs covered his dark gold eyes. His lean arms bulged out as he collapsed from the last push-up. Sweat caused his long bangs to stick to his face as he went to remove his white tank top that hung to his nicely shaped waist.

"Oof, sore!" He quickly grabbed a nearby water bottle, unscrewed the lid, and chugged the liquids down in one gulp.

With his thirst quenched, he turned and eyed his roses fondly. Being in charge of the gardening club was a small delight he liked to do on his own time. Often juggling responsibilities of several other clubs, some could say he was more then tied up. So, to keep himself in shape and mind sane, he turned the green room into a gym. Haruo cracked each individual finger till his knuckles were nice and loose.

Once he got to his feet, he glanced over at one rose that seemed to be wilted. Twitching an ear, he grimaced to himself, damn it, how could he have forgotten to water this one? Quickly, he refilled his water bottle, rushed back to the damsel rose, and poured some precious H20 over it.

"There you go, that should be enough to get those roots strong again." His bushy tail fluffed a bit as he sat the water bottle down and changed into some dark blue jean pants and a matching blue sweat shirt.

Once properly cleaned up, he hurried out the door and into the hallway. Biology class would be starting soon and he didn't want to be late. This was to be his last class before having a rare day off where he could excitedly go back to his dorm and play some of his favorite online games!

"Hey Haruo!" Came a girl's voice.

Haruo stopped in his tracks and quickly pulled on his smile to hide the little cringe he felt. Great, here we go again.

A female rabbit and her large group of friends instantly corralled him. Their eyes swallowing up his handsome face as they stepped really close.

"I-it's me, Piffle, from the drama club?" The smaller red rabbit giggled like crazy as she quickly showed a picture she took of him. "I'm one of the new members, just wanted to say I saw your rehearsals! You looked so great! Do you often do so well with so little practice?"

Haruo internally winced at the closeness and gave a little step back to maintain some boundaries. "Thanks, that's very sweet. But I do practice, so its not all entirely effortlessly done."

"Oh, stop being so modest!" One of her other friends giggled even louder and stepped closer to wedge their way into his safe zone. The second one of their hands touched his hip, he made a fast pull away. This confusing one of the girls as he left her hand floating their.

"Sorry, but I really need to get to class. Um, thanks for the compliments, it was really sweet. Keep up the good work." He waved and did a quick slide-by before the girls had the opportunity to do a second game of breaking boundaries.

Once he successfully slipped away, he sighed and moved to wipe some left over sweat from his forehead. Crap, he forgot to completely dry his head, no doubt looking like he just stepped out of a sauna. Oh well, the good thing about biology class, they never sat right next to each other.

Passing by more animals, he darted around one corner and almost ran smack into the side of another animal. Growling from the impact, he ceased his wobbles and looked up.

"Hey, you know classroom doors are meant to be walked into, right?"

A big alligator gazed down at him, a few gold teeth lined his top jaw. Oh great, not this guy.

"Hey, Haruo, haven't seen you around." He crossed his burly arms and pushed him with his tail. "Why don't you watch where you're going? You have eyeballs don't you?" The gator snorted a laugh.

Haruo caught himself, tightened his fist, and gave another angry scowl. "Okay, obviously you never passed basic instinct training to understand that doors are not meant to be blocked. So why not just shove off?"

"Pretty big talk for a guy who likes gardening…" the gator leered over him, looking down to the hare. His deep ugly black eyes enticing a fight.

"Yea, you're so tough…" Haruo glanced to the right and noticed some animals were starting to gather. He crossed his arms, great, had to make this quick and clean. Last thing he wanted was those pesky photographers printing lame stories about him getting into a fight with this scaled jerk.

"Least I enjoy what I do, unlike you, who can't even bother passing basics because you're to prideful to study."

The gator gawked, "Wha- you're calling me dumb?"

"Which moment gave it away, the first or second time I pointed out the painfully obvious?"

"Why you-" The gator stretched out his claws before Haruo walked past him and into the room, keeping his posture up and un-intimidated.

"I have better things to do then speak logic with someone who has precious little brain power to spare."

All the kids started giggling as the gator's eyes went blood shot. Scales rising like the hair on an angry jungle cat. His snout releasing a savage hiss as he turned and stomped through the crowd that giggled at his humiliation.

"You'll pay for that… rabbit." He snapped his jaws before vanishing into the men's restroom.

A/N: Alright, so we're off, hope everyone enjoyed it. Legoshia is a little easier to write for, but I think I managed to catch Haruo's toughness ;) Stay tuned for the next chapter!
