2. Why would they be slower? Rest of it you probably have a point.
3. Probably.
4. Might try to change it to the 23rd or 24th century instead of the 22nd to give humanity more breathing room. problem is it would mean I'd have to either write 200 years of history or leave a very weird time gap.
5. I meant spending more time with early spaceflight instead of interstellar. There's 2 centuries between sputnik and first contact (to the year actually), that's what I meant.
Military: Fighters would be equally dubious, but they exist in Cannon. The codex says that guardians aren't 100 % lethal against fighters, so they most likely work less like ciws and more like how are current antimissile , anti-FAC, and anti-drone lasers work (not blowing it up but making it ineffective by destroying the important components or the exploding bits) so the cruise missiles (what I envision as basically, an engine, a battery, fuel, and a multi ton depleted uranium head) wouldn't be significantly affected by them. My vision for the cruise missiles were they were meant to give ships who could not fit mass accelerators long enough to fight at extreme range some sort of fire power in those engagements. The space combat codex entry said that commanders had to choose between staying at extreme range to keep the dreadnoughts effective, but making the rest of the fleet ineffective, or close too long, mid, or short range doing the opposite. The cruise missiles were my idea for keeping the cruisers effective at extreme range. For the defense grid, like I said, they are inexperienced in interstellar combat with mass relays, though, it's never said in Mass Effect if you can put something without an M.E core through a relay and M.E 3 claimed that Ftl Rams where impossible.
I made many significant alterations to the lore so it will not all match up with Canon.
Narn: batarians tried, they got a bloody nose and an awkward conversation with the council about why one of their dreadnoughts had multiple holes in it and why three dozen other ships went missing.
kargalvog classes:
background: a type of ship produced because of the hegemonies wants to increase the fire power of its frigate packs and a need for crew positions superior to that of frigates, but more numerous than cruisers, to put higher caste officers who would be unsatisfied with a frigate position, but for whom there are not enough cruiser crew positions.

Verdolok (Merceless):
A brand new Kargalvog class only coming into production in the last few years. If hegemony propaganda is to be believed, then these ships are more powerful than turian cruisers and less than half the cost. In reality, for its size it is a good ship, but they cannot compete with contemporary cruisers in one on one combat. The ships have shown impressive combat endurance, which may allow them to theoretically defeat, larger opponents at long or extreme ranges by outlasting them, and then letting its frigate squadron take out the cruiser at close range when it is overheating. The ship suffer significant unreliability problems with their engines, causing all the members of the class to be restricted to short range patrol around hegemony systems with facilities capable of repairing the engines, leaving them unavailable for the constant skirmishes that happen on the Hegemony-Narn and Hegemony-Terminus borders. Currently 12 are in operation with three planned for completion and a second flight of 23 with several minor improvements beginning construction in 2365 predicted to be completed by 2372.
Clardolok (relentless):
The Clardolok class is the venerable workhorse of the hegemonies kargalvog fleet, being in active service for 49 years and not stopping for decades to come. The Clardoloks were originally part of the response building program initiated by the hegemony upon First contact with the Citadel Council. There were originally 5 flights of clardolok class ships for a total of 75, but over the years 20 have been destroyed, leaving only 55 operational. Plans have been put in place by the hegemony military for the decommissioning of the remaining 12 flight one clardolok upon the completion of their replacement flight 2 Verdoloks.
Shaldolok (no direct translation, closest translation is "killer of the defenseless" confirmed to be the epithet of a previously worshiped God of War)
The Shaldolok class were the first class of Kargalvogs put into service. Entirely obsolete by the time of the first contact war, all Shaldoloks have been sold off to private interests after decommissioning. Most of these private interests were criminal in nature making Shaldoloks common sites in pirate fleets and upon turian warship hulls for kill markings.A Shaldolok hull that was destroyed in a early battle during the Regime-Hegemony war and left to drift was discovered by the human corporation Starlight Explorations in 2356, but the systems alliance was not informed until after the battle of Shenxi. For this violation of Alliance law, Starlight Explorations was forcibly dissolved.

background:
Starting construction immediately after the Morning War, the Destiny Ascension was supposed to solidify the then shaky confidence in the power of the council. Taking 50 years to complete, it is considered one of the great wonders of the Asari Republics. Following asari military doctrine, the Destiny Ascension sacrifices defensive capability for the sake of high Speed and high firepower, so that it can go in, hit the enemy as hard as possible, and then get out as fast as possible. The soundness of this design for a ship this large has been put into question, as it lacks the maneuverability of smaller ships, and could easily be swarmed by frigates, bombers, or drones while attempting a hit and run, unable to maneuver and escape like its smaller counterparts, even if it has the speed to. Destiny Ascension, due to its importance as a symbol of the Council, has never been in actual combat for fear of it being damaged or lost. Because of this, the Destiny Ascensions ability in combat has never been tested.
Dekovi Dekuuna "Pride of Dekuuna"
length: 912 m (1000 m with wings)
Width: 228 m
height: 100 m (140 with wings)
Armerment: 2 820x80 (4.2 mt,8.4 combined) mass accelerators,12 100x20 (32 kt) mass accelerators, 20 guardian lasers
background:
The pride of Dekuuna was conceived in the 2310's during an event that would be known as the kras'vordel crusade, where a terminus warlord was able to sneak a fleet into council space and mercilessly raid citadel associate, and council, colonies, and ships with her fleet of 75 ships (2 heavy cruisers, five cruisers, 6 light cruisers,50 frigates,12 transports), evading a task force of over 600 ships tasked with capturing her. During this event the Court's fleet was forced to defend its territory with minimum support against the pirate fleet, and it found itself lacking. Over six months of fighting, the Court's fleet was unable to defeat the pirate fleet until the task force arrived. After these events, the Courts implemented large military reforms including orderin a large force to increase the power of the fleet. This included 25 frigates,4 cruisers, and the elcor's first and only dreadnought. Due to the lack of proper facilities to construct such a vessel in elcor space, the pride of Dekuuna was constructed in asari space. The design of the pride of Dekuuna was heavily influenced by the failures of the Court's fleet during the kras'vordel crusade where almost every engagement that was lost by the courts was because of the lack of long range firepower in their fleet. In response to this the Pride of Dekuuna was designed especially for long range combat, with most other capabilities being sacrificed for more capabilities in this area. Because of this, the pride of Dekuuna had twice the amount of long range firepower of a contemporary Turian dreadnought, but half the mid range fire power, and a third the guardian lasers.
