It was a few hours later and Karaat, Mari, and Ichiru were training with their stands in the backyard. Karaat was overseeing their fight, making sure it didn't get too rough, since it was supposed to be a mock battle. While they never meant to hurt each other, sometimes things did get heated. So, he stayed nearby just to make sure they didn't lose control. Thanks to Kars' adjustments to his stand, he could stop the situation.
Ichiru's stand was called Power Wolf and had the appearance of a large grey wolf with black claws and bright yellow eyes. With it activated, Ichiru also transformed into a wolf, her clothes having been taken off before the fight so they wouldn't be ruined. They had gone through quite a few outfits; some he had really liked on her. He remembered the first time she showed her stand. It at first scared her, but once he explained what it was and what she could do with it, she seemed proud to have a stand.
Mari's stand was called Fallen Leaves. It had the appearance of a man made of leaves, 2 eyes in where the head would be formed. For the most part, it looked like a pile of leaves with two eyes. Even the texture was similar to leaves. Mari had also been shocked when she found out about her stand. Though, he had noticed all the girls had been shocked. Still, like Ichiru, she got used to it. By now, all of the girls could summon their full stands without issue.
The mock battle was intense as usual. It was clear both girls wanted to win and were only holding back enough not to leave any permanent damage. It might also be because they were going to get a reward if they won the battle. Karaat couldn't help but smirk to himself. He loved how riled up they got, especially when he promised a treat or a gift. It didn't even matter what the treat or gift was, they loved getting something from him. And he loved seeing their reactions, especially when they won the battle.
Eventually, Ichiru won this fight and as they headed back inside to freshen up, Karaat congratulated Ichiru with a smack on the ass after eyeing her up and down. He would probably congratulate her in another way later. Actually, he knew he would, especially when she jumped and glanced over at him, as if begging him to join her for a shower. She really did look amazing, standing over Mari naked just a few moments ago. Shifting, he cleared his throat, not needing another scolding by Murasaki for thinking with his dick instead of his brain. She was still slightly annoyed at him for messing up their sheets with Chiyako, but to him, it was worth it. Besides, he would only mess up the sheets with her later.
He turned to Mari and kissed her, noticing she didn't seem to mind losing too much. After all, it only encouraged her to get stronger and keep training. He kissed them both, noticing how Ichiru was bouncing in joy from winning. Damn they all looked so beautiful! Though, he already knew that.
"Go inside and freshen up. The winner, which is Ichiru, gets grilled onigiri with their favorite fillings for dinner so once you finish cleaning up, let Murasaki and Nene know you won. You won't have to help with cooking today" Technically everyone would get some onigiri with their ramen. But for the winner today, they would be getting grilled onigiri and the rice balls would be extra-large as a reward. There was also the added bonus of not having to cook or clean that night as an extra reward.
Ichiru grinned and bounced in joy, her breasts distracting him for a moment as she said, "Oh! Tuna and Mayo sound so good right now! Oh, so does chicken and cheese though. Maybe she'll make both?" When Karaat shrugged, she leaned up and kissed him before pointing to where some people were approaching before she ran inside, well more skipped inside. He glanced back, watching her for a moment before smirking. Knowing Murasaki and Nene, they would get whatever fillings she wanted. "Don't forget to text them your filling request so they know what to get."
"Will do! I'll do it before I get in the shower! Thanks babe!" Ichiru shouted back at him before going to grab her phone and get some clothes to change into.
"Karaat!" Shizuku said, approaching with Kars. He immediately knew what was going to happen. It looked like they were going to go on a trip. Well, his plans would have to wait. The trips usually weren't too bad, though it did get awkward when one time when Kars showed up near his work. Luckily, he managed to pull him away before his students saw the Pillar Man in his classroom. Since then, he had made Kars promise that he would only come to his house, nowhere else, even if that meant that he had to wait for a little bit before Karaat came back from whatever he was doing.
"So, where are we going to this time? Which universe are we traveling to? Hopefully nothing too crazy unlike last time." Karaat asked, looking over at Shizuku and then Kars. He wanted to help as much as possible, though he hoped that this time, they would actually find Pucci. It had been a year and it was getting more worrying as time passed. Kars said he would be okay, but he wasn't entirely sure if he believed that. It's not like he had a reason to doubt Kars, it's just he was concerned. Besides, it was only fair that Pucci got to go home too.
Shizuku giggled as the last universe they went to had a very femme Karaat who seemed more interested in building a harem than trying to find Pucci. It was a more amusing universe and Karaat might have gotten teased for at least a week once all the girls found out. It resulted in some long nights in the bedroom as punishment but it had been worth it. Even if it meant most of them had to call off work the next day. Still, the teasing had definitely been worth it.
A part of Karaat couldn't help but to wonder if Jorge and Narancia adjusted to life back where they came from. He was still grateful for them being a part of the journey, even if it wasn't all that great, like during the fight between Kars and Dio. Trying not to remember that part or the loud explosions when their hits connected, he focused on Kars and what he was saying. He definitely didn't need to admit to Kars that he hadn't' been listening.
"The only universe we haven't searched yet is the thirty-sixth one. We were only there for ten minutes last time. And it didn't really look around much, given the scenario at that time. But we might have been mistaken. It's possible he's there and he had been the entire time. In fact, it's the only one left that's possible. He wasn't in any other one and we need to find him, as you know." Kars explained, glad to see that everyone had adjusted to their life with Karaat.
"Oh... Wait that universe was the one where we ran into Chiyako as a school teacher! Oh, yeah, I remember that one. Damn, now I wish we had looked around a bit more." He rubbed the back of his neck, thinking about the few minutes he had spent with her in that universe. In that universe he had saved her when she was a kid and she had been trying to thank him for some time. If only they had known that Pucci was there too. He knew they had been in a rush to get back. But if they had maybe spent a bit more time, they could have brought the priest back and that might have made the fight even easier.
"I wish we had as well," Kars confessed, frowning for a moment. Maybe they should have looked their first. But he never imagined that their friend would have been teleported to the same universe they had been brought to in the middle of the battle. Shaking his head, he continued, "But that does not matter now. We're going to go find him. Even if we have to roam for a while."
"Naturally," Karaat said, already sending a text to explain the situation. Once he got confirmation from Nene who was with Murasaki and some of the other girls, he looked up. "Let's go then."
Shizuku, who had left for a moment to grab a blanket, looked up at Karaat, saying, "I want to go with. I want to help out as much as possible. And I remember you mentioning that universe's Chiyako to us. I want to meet her, see what she's like, you know? See if she's any different from the Chiyako we know."
"Then, let's not waste time," Kars said as he activated Ultimate D4C, immediately transporting them. They didn't even have time to agree before they were transported to the universe in question. And to their surprise, they were soon on a bed below a bed cover, the blanket still in Shizuku's hands.
First off, they were in Karaat's bedroom of this universe in his mother's house. It still looked generally the same, though there were some minor differences. There were a few more posters and he was pretty sure there were some Buddhist statues on the bookshelf nearby. But the main thing was Murasaki, or at least the Murasaki of this universe. She stared at the three of them, who had just appeared in the bed, confused and unsure of how to react.
Apparently after a moment, she figured it out. With a shriek, she started to scramble out of the bed, panicking at the sight. She kept looking back and forth at Kars, Shizuku, and the clearly older and more buff Karaat. "Woah, what in the hell is going on? What, who are you? What's going on? How are you so buff? Ah, this is crazy!" She stomped, huffing as Karaat was trying to calm her down, though it wasn't easy. "You scared me, you know!"
"Wait, we can explain. Let's just calm down. Okay, you don't need to huff, Murasaki! We're sorry for scaring you, okay?" Karaat groaned, sighing. This was one of the things he never liked about time or universe traveling. All of the explaining they had to do once they arrived. Especially when it came to Murasaki. It seemed in most of the universes, if they came across her, she would rather yell or fight than stay calm when they appeared. In a way, he couldn't blame her, but it did result in a few awkward incidents. Like that one universe where they appeared and, as a reflex, Murasaki kicked him hard in the crotch. That one definitely hurt!
"We just found Pucci," Karaat said, motioning to the tv. On the tv, next to this universe's Karaat was none other than Pucci himself. Well, that was easier than Karaat had expected it to be. Though, where they were being filmed at, he couldn't recognize.
Murasaki seemed to have calmed down, though she was still watching them with caution. Sighing, she said, "This place is a remnant. It's a remnant from your real time. When you traveled her to save Chiyako, that other guy arrived as well. I don't get it either but that's all I know. I'm sorry for panicking. I just didn't expect you to appear so suddenly!"
"It's fine," Karaat said, smiling. He knew she didn't mean to so he wouldn't hold it against her. Besides, at this point, he was just relieved they even found Pucci. And even better, it didn't take long to find him!
"Hmm, it's possible he got here because of his time accelerating shenanigans," Shizuku, theorized, thinking to herself more than to the group. "I mean, is that even possible?" She glanced over at Kars, who didn't answer her. Karaat only shrugged. Of the three of them, Kars was the main expert on time and universes. But it seemed he either didn't want to answer or didn't know himself.
"How did you get this recording?" Kars asked Murasaki, turning to her.
"This thing," she pointed to the ps4 that was nearby. "It's a gateway to the pocket dimension you're looking for." I've been keeping it safe, well at least once I found out that we were a remnant."
"Then that is where we're going." Kars stated as Shizuku grabbed the bed covers before moving over to him.
"Uh... So, what's with the bed cover? If you don't mind me asking, that is." Murasaki asked, curious as they moved towards the ps4. She joined them, now too curious to just stay where she was. She wanted to follow them.
"You could say it's like our way of transporting there," Shizuku said. She wasn't sure if Murasaki believed her. The look on her face said she probably didn't. But that didn't matter. Because seconds later, they were heading to the pocket dimension.
