Chapter 1 Diplomatic And Personal Issues

While summer had returned to Arendelle no one was truly happy. Princess Anna was now undoubtedly dead, but while most citizens of Arendelle were upset, they had no sympathy for their Queen.The Duke of Weselton saw to this by having some of his men point out that she a living snowman with her. The reasoning behind that being if she could make a living snowman, could she not have made a golem of her dead sister to control? That way it would look like Anna had sacrificed herself, when in reality the sneaky ice witch had probably found her dead sister's body and used her powers to make it act and say things that it was her true love Prince Hans's fault when it was hers. Just like the winter had been.

"King Angarr's family has been queer ever since the death of hIs father the great King Runeard." said one of the older Arendelle Guards."Unfortunately he was lost in a battle against the traitorous Northuldran. He gave them a gift of peace even though they were known for using magic. And they attacked the King and the soldiers he brought with him without any good reason. The forest since the day of the has been locked. No one can go in or out."

"As far as we know." added a younger soldier."A few years after the battle someone was dyeing some of the shepherd's sheep pink. They never found the culprit. Most thought that it must have been some Northuldran who had found a way out of the forest. Then there was Queen Iduna. "

"What about the Queen?" Asked Rapunzel who had been quiet up to that time so she could learn how the other foreign visitors and the general population was thinking. Which so far wasn't good for Queen Elsa.

"No one except Lord Peteressen seemed to remember her or her parents." said a wizened looking old soldier. "I still believe that she was not with any of the common people we took on that disastrous trip."

"Then why would you believe just one man?" asked the Duke incredulously.

"Because until his death a year ago, he was the most trusted man on the Council."said Councilman Klok." But he let Agnarr have his way too much. Letting him befriend then marry an virtually unknown commoner instead of the Princess of Vassar. That marriage would have boosted our military resources and a lot of the soldiers would not have been the sons of merchants, fishermen, and sailors. At least King Nicholas had real soldiers. "

"But he also used the people's fear of the Northuldrans to make it seem like we needed extra protection." said another Council man named Praktisk. "His daughter Runa was nice enough, but I would not be to trust him again."

"Who truly knows?" said Councilman Klok."I am personally beginning to believe that Iduna was Northuldran and seeing that Runa didn't want to marry Agnarr bribed her into framing her own father. Afterward Iduna was free to marry Agnarr but because of the mixed blood their first child was born with magic. Or more then likely, Queen Iduna some of her own magic to guarantee that the child would have some kind of power. But when she got pregnant again she didn't do it, because her secret would have harder to hide."

"But that is just speculation." Eugene argued back. "You have no proof of these claims."

"You have no right to question people who have observed many things over the years." the Duke of Weselton shot back. "Especially given your past as a criminal! I say that we banish the witch, sever any ties with anyone who would help her, and make Prince Hans King of Arendelle officially."

The protests of the representatives of the Corona as well as the servants Kai and Gerda did no good. In fact, it got so bad the the young man who came with the Royal couple, clever young named Varian, threw down one of his explosives so they could escape. Once his friends and the two loyal servants were safe, he advised Rapunzel to get the ship ready for departure. He meanwhile was going to help Elsa.

The decision that the Council made on the balcony of Arendelle Castle spread like wildfire. While Hans was not of King Runeard's bloodline, the people felt he would be a worthy successor to that great King. After all, he had ensured their safety during the 3 day winter. And was willing to do whatever it took to protect them from wicked magical forces. The cry was quickly taken up and could be heard clear across the fjord:

"Long live King Hans!"

Hans who had regained consciousness glared at the Snow Queen and the peasant. He knew his plans had worked out. Maybe not as he intended, but the people trusted him. Any story that Elsa and the stranger told would not be believed, he was truly in control.He could also see Arendelle Guards coming for the now two unwanted people. Unfortunately, the man saw them too. He put the now Ex-Queen of Arendelle and the snowman on his reindeer and fled by having it jump into the fjord. They did manage to make it to shore, but stones and other things were thrown at them as they made their escape. The people also sang:

deception

disgrace

evil as plain as the power she wields

deceiver an outrage

disgrace for shame

witch leave us alone

you were raised unloved child

And you'll have untold trails ahead

and your may survive what's to come

but one thing's for sure and that's

you are not one of us

After awhile Varian was able to find the outcasts and get them to Corona's ship. Rapunzel upon seeing the condition of the Snow Queen wished she had not lost her healing powers.Her husband was wondering what all these events would mean for other magic people, and in the mountains of Colombia a man who see the future was asking his youngest niece to ask her friends to help her prepare for the danger ahead.
