I swing through the window, surprised to see May sitting on my bed waiting for me, then she asks, "How'd it go?"
"Good turns out some bounty hunter started it to get my attention apparently I have a bounty on my head for $25,000,000,000 he put up more of a fight than Dark-Wolf knew my every move and how to counteract my webs but I still won and saved a little girl so yeah it was good," I say wincing in pain as I change out of my costume revealing the bruises I took from this Predator guy.
"Oh my gosh you have to lay low you can't take this you're just 14!" she exclaims with a worried tone that worries me.
"We both know I can't do that, if I wasn't there a little girl would've died and I can do things to help people. I have to do this because it's what my father would've wanted," I say, explaining that it was okay and that this is normal. The next day I wake up at the same time and do the hero routine like yesterday. After about an hour I see my two friends waiting by an alley. I drop down and quickly change, then I am met with Danny saying, "You told her after you told me not to tell her."
"No she figured it out by me being careless," I responded in all seriousness.
"Wait, you told Danny not to tell me?" May asks angrily.
"Oh yeah I'm fine by the way thanks for asking," I say sarcastically as May and Danny burst out laughing and I chuckle.
"You can not tell my mom about this," I say, switching to serious mode again.
"Wait, who else knows about this?" May asks wondering why my own mother doesn't know
"Just you two and Joey, no one else so you have to keep it a secret," I say, trying to explain that I was trying to protect my friends and family.
"Wait, you told Joey before you told me?" May asks her rage from before returning.
"No he saw the bite well before I even knew I had powers and that's why he said I was out being a hero," I say calmly explaining that Danny was the first to be actually told. After we arrived at Tech we went to our cubicle labs and listened to the news and again I was the main story. Then May promptly says, "Guess they heard about the fire last night."
"What fire last night?" Danny asked, waiting to know about my butt kicking at 9pm.
"The one in which I got my butt handed to me, I barely beat the guy and I also saved a little girl," I say, trying not to remember the pain I received last night.
"What guy?" Danny asked, waiting to be filled in.
"A bounty hunter by the name of Predator said I had a bounty of $25,000,000,000 over my head," I say calmly explaining the whole debacle of last night. After I finished explaining the Predator situation I worked on a web bomb of sorts that can be shot from my web shooter as well as a hud that tells me the capacity my webs are at. As we were working my spider sense goes off then an explosion goes off at the same time. I grab my bag and run up the stairs quickly changing into my costume once I reach the roof I jump and swing back in using a broken window I find cover and survey the area planning my moves then I see the leader of the 10 or so men is Dark-Wolf, I thought I the cops took him to prison I guess he escaped somehow then I hear him, "I want Arachnid or all these people die!"
"Did you miss me this much? Aw Wolfie I am flattered beyond belief but this is a little extreme ever heard of calling," I joke pouncing on the first thug then webbing the second and third together. Then I shot a web bomb at three others and kicking the seventh in the face knocking him out then I shock two of them with the electric webs then I throw the tenth at Dark-Wolf but he punches the thug out of the way then shoots relentlessly I dodge and flip out of the way I try to jump over him but he catches my foot and slams me into the ground I then get up and try to punch him but he counters with a punch to the chest then he shoots me in the arm the pain I'm feeling is excruciating but I shoot a web bomb freezing him in his tracks then I punch him relentlessly til he's out cold then I swing back to the roof where I am met by May and Danny who are worried then I web my shoulder with a web bandage to stop the blood then ironically Danny says, "Man you got the crap kicked out of you."
"You think!" I yell in pain.
"You need help, you need a doctor oh but your secret maybe we can say you got injured during the blast," May says panicked and scared not for her but for myself but the world went black before I could respond. I wake up in my room it reminded of that fateful day of the field trip that would give me these power I look down and see a sling around my arm and bandages around my chest I groan in pain from the beating I took from Wolfie as I'm now calling him I open my door to my worried mother who asked, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, how are May and Danny?" I am worried.
"We're both fine just glad you're okay you had us worried cowboy," May says with relief.
"Hey mom, would you mind getting me a glass of water?" I asked to get her out of the room so we could talk about what really happened.
"What happened yesterday?" May asks worriedly about the dangers I face.
"He was stronger and more skilled than he was last time, like he was learning the first time to get an advantage in round two and that strategy worked to the point of me getting my butt handed to me," I say deepening in thought.
"Maybe he was on drugs," May suggests, hoping to start a lead.
"That's it Blue-Wolf the serum I designed on my first day he must've been injected with it after the first time giving his power a boost so his strength doesn't come from the suit he is wearing," I say putting the pieces together realizing that my world just got a whole lot bigger than New York city
