Archivist notes: High Lords of Terra, and his Majesty the Emperor of Mankind, forgive me for my impotence, but I feel that committing what I have observed in while assigned to the IInd Legion will ultimately benefit historic records of both the Great Crusade, and that accursed betrayal we now call, the Horus Heresy. While the throne loyal legions scour the remaining traitors out of our galaxy, the members of my order have been committed to documenting the organization, history, traditions, and battle honors of the ten throne loyal legions. It has come to my attention that there was very little detailing relating to the Bale Hound legion, yet after being granted access to their most hidden records, I believe I understand why. It is my belief that the Emperor, may his soul forever endure and preserve us, allowed his IInd legion to be a secret weapon against the Ruinous Powers that wrought ruin upon our interstellar kingdom. I dare not guess as to why Arwyn Clay did not share his finds with his fellow Primarchs, but from what I can conclude after reading through the IInd Legion's records, we were all the better for it. I have decided to add every bit of lore and observation in my memory of the Legion and hope that it will serve the Imperium's best interests in the future. I will, of course, ensure that the more sensitive data of the Bale Hounds' more…clandestine operations be secured behind the proper security protocols.
