The days following the attack I take time to recover from the injuries I sustained from Wolfie who is behind bars again but I'm not the only one the attack affected. Dr. Bowman lost his leg due to a piece of debris crushing it into pieces with no way of fixing it. This morning I felt better so I decided to head out there. I put my newly repaired suit, thanks to Danny, on and jumped through the window and well a crime happened to be going on. It was a high speed chase that was going to be fun. I landed on the car's roof then I slid down and knocked on the window saying, "Mr. Criminal, hey do you have your seatbelt on?!"

"Holy crap it's the bug!" the thug yells out of shock I take this time to move to the front and try to stop the car I put my feet on the ground and asphalt starts to crumble as I dig my feet deep into the ground the car strains itself for a while but it finally stalls and I web up the criminal for the cops who still hate me but that's not surprising I head home after about three hours when I crawl through the window I'm met with a scared May asking, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine they didn't lay a finger on me," I responded half jokingly and half seriously.

"Why did you go out?" she asks with a more concerned tone.

"I was feeling better and I needed some fresh air and exercise," I say, trying not to worry her.

"It's still too dangerous, you were half dead last time you put on that stupid mask," she says her tone was filling with anger.

"Well that's a risk I'm willing to take," I say with all seriousness

"Well I'm not I care for you too deeply to see you kill yourself or get yourself killed," she says standing so close it was almost hard to resist then she kissed me I was in a shirt and pants by then when Mom comes into the room saying, "May your father had to leave said something about a bridge and a lizard any ways he wants you to stay in the apartment." spider sense Mom wasn't lying somethings wrong I quickly change and jump out the window following the sirens to Brooklyn Bridge atop the bridge I see a reptilian like man shoving his way towards the end screaming my name it was weird he just kept screaming, "Eli Meridian I need Eli Meridian!"

"Well you're not going to find him here have you tried Facebook or missed connections I hear it helps," I joke as I punch him I go back for a second punch but he catches my fist and throws me out of his way slamming me into a car I get back up and follow him this time I shock him then punch him but he throws me into a building then I web bomb his feet and I find a fire hydrant and super shocked using the water and taser webs he then hisses and retreats after I leave the scene I crawl through the window and find a frantic May as she asks, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, it was nothing I couldn't handle," I say, changing revealing more bruises.

"Oh my gosh what happened?" May asks worriedly, which she shouldn't.

"I just got slammed into a car and building, see nothing I couldn't handle" I say pointing to the distant TV in the living room.

"You got slammed into a car and building first the attack and now I've been worried every night since you told me I was scared you're not going to be crawling through that window and…." she says but I interrupt her with a kiss.

"You talk too much," I say, holding her in my arms, relieving all stress and relaxing. The next day I do the new usual: wake up at 5 to fight crime for about an hour and go to the alley and wait for friends. This time I met with Danny saying, "Look at you all heroic and all saving the day waking people up at 5am." We have a good laugh and head towards Tech, when we arrive we are all assigned the same thing: bio mesh that changes shape and size to fit any skeletal structure. Then I mustered enough courage to ask, "May would you like to have dinner with me?"

"Uh sure! Movies too?" she asked back.

"Sure if pizza sounds good I'm a little low on cash," I say somewhat relieved.

"Sure see you at 7pm sharp you can be a little late though," she says with a flirtatious tone as she kisses me on the cheek and I smile back.

"When did this happen?" Danny asks with a curious tone.

"Yesterday after I fought a human lizard," I say smiling as my life is finally going my way. After that I headed to the roof and changed into my costume. I went on evening patrol till about 6:30 pm when I bought some flowers and headed home. Once home I changed into the black plaid and jeans I wore the night of the fire, then I left my apartment and walked a few steps to the neighboring apartment and knocked on the door. May's father opens the door and asks, "Eli, what's up?"

"Oh May and I have a date I'm surprised she didn't tell you," I say explaining the whole date situation.

"Dad, it's okay, I planned it," May says as she steps into my view. It was like seeing an angel. She was the most beautiful person in the room.

"You look great, I got you these flowers," I say nervously.

"Thanks now we have a movie and pizza to get to cowboy," she says as she kisses me on the cheek relieving all nervousness.

"Well be home by 10pm got it," Captain Wilson says with the parental tone that somewhat scares me.

"Will do Mr. Wilson, see you then," I say then we walk out and as soon as the door closes we burst out laughing. After that we head to the theater and watch the movie Blood-Shot. It was her idea since I was a superhero myself and we headed to pizza. At the parlor we laughed and talked about things when my spider sense went off. A police car flew past the pizza parlor and May just said, "Go they need you."

"See you later?" I ask.

"You kidding, I'm following you there," she says and I smile. I run out of the parlor and quickly change swinging towards the sirens towards the crowd. My destination turned out to be the Statue of Liberty and the man causing this was Predator. Once I arrive Predator says, "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show."

"Really do you really think I'm that lazy to reject an invite to a party I was trying to be fashionably late," I joke back then I web bomb him to the ground but he just rips through it like it was paper. Then I say, "Really I worked really hard on those so show some respect." "Too bad I brought a new toy of my own," he says, pulling out a bow and arrow. "What do you think that's gonna do to help you or just slow you down?" I jokingly asked as he line it up with the bow aiming he shoots and it misses at first but it tracks me like a heat seeking missile and hits my lower leg the same agonizing pain from my gunshot wound arised and I shot a web and added a current shocking him then I knocked him into the water and shocked the water around him knocking him out cold. As I crawl in my window I'm met by May who is worried about my condition asking, "Are you alright?" "I'm fine," I say, wincing as I'm pulling the arrow out of my leg and webbing the wound with a new healing web I made. "You don't look fine," May says, concerned, so much so I was touched. "Look I'm fine it's nothing I haven't handled before plus I can study this to prepare counter measures," I say pointing to the arrow. "Fine but my dad says you should have come in when you dropped me off," she says I look at her confused then she explains that I dropped her off at the door and went back to my apartment. I just think to myself my life just got crazy.
