One winter, Reimu's mom decided to take her young daughter out hunting.
"What are we hunting, mama?" little Reimu asked.
Reimu's mom, who donned her fox mask, answered Reimu in a blunt and deep voice, "The gay agenda."
"What? What's that?"
"An affront against God."
"I thought there were multiple gods in Gensokyo."
"There are. Most of them are pretty gay too. I'm talking more about the Abrahamic Gods. They're more the stone-the-gay-away types."
"...oh. Is that why you wear a mask? To keep the gays from being attracted to you?"
"Yes."
"And all those talismans around the shrine. They prevent gays from entering."
"Yes."
"Hm. I don't know how to feel about this."
"Feelings are the gay agenda at work, girl."
"Wait, I'm affected by the gay agenda!? Are you?"
"No."
"Because you're the Eastern equivalent of a priest and, therefore, protected by religion?"
"Yes."
"And this Alice. She's gay?"
"Yes."
"How do you know?"
"Look at all the fanarts and then get back to me."
Reimu pulled out her smartphone and typed "Alice Matrigold" in Google.
"Yep. Yeah, that's pretty gay."
Reimu put the smartphone back in her pocket.
"Oh, wait. Did the gays actually ever do anything to you?"
"I'm a female character in a series with a fandom predominantly populated by yuri-fags and lolicons. Do the gay math."
"...with Yukari?"
"Yes."
Suddenly, they heard a twig snap.
"Ah, mama. Look."
A wild Alice was spotted feeding on some grass.
Reimu readied her talisman. "Should I aim for the heart?"
"It doesn't have a heart," Reimu's mom said.
"Where... Where do I shoot her then?"
"Shoot her in the gay!"
Reimu did as she was told. There was a momentary pause.
Reimu's mom sighed. "You failed the test, Reimu. You're a homophobe." She pointed at the corpse. "That was a hate crime."
Reimu's mom then took the spell card and ripped it to pieces.
"You are clearly not ready."
