leo45: We'll see about that.

LaCuevademisgustos: Didn't have much to do for Shawn in this season.

PrincessCrystalgem: I want Jo to show more of her redeeming qualities.

acosta perez jose ramiro: Indeed she does.

GBond007: Yeah, at best she respected Gwen's cunning nature.

Spectacular Webhead 11: We'll have to wait and see.

Boys: Brick, Cody, Duncan, Harold, Lightning

Girls: Beth, Dawn, Jo, Sky

Trigger Warning: Blood is mentioned in this chapter. It's briefly mentioned but please keep that in mind if you're squeamish.

"Last time on Total Drama Island… In a challenge of hide and seek, campers had to avoid capture by Chef It or join his guerilla tactics to tag fellow campers. Some had weak hiding spots, while others won invincibility. In the end the girls were feeling a bit outnumbered by the boys, and Shawn had to leave just to even the odds more" Chris recapped "Will Jo continue to avoid elimination, and will Dawn just hook up with Harold already? Find out on Total Drama Island."

(After theme song)

The episode began with Harold, Dawn, Duncan, and Lightning all playing a game of frisbee. Currently Dawn had caught the flying disk and tossed it over to Duncan who caught it with a smirk.

With a flash, we then see that Jo and Beth were sitting on lawn chairs overlooking the game.

"Look at them. Playing as if they aren't strategizing who will be the next target for elimination." Jo smirked to Beth, "It's almost cute."

"Uh… isn't that a little mean spirited?" Beth asked nervously.

"I'm not exactly wrong though." Jo shrugged nonchalantly before wondering, "Hey, where are Brick for brains and the shrimps?"

We then see that Brick, Cody, and Sky were running across the island together… well Brick and Sky were running. Cody was trying to keep up but trailing a little behind.

Confessional: Cody

"Brick and Sky are good friends of mine, so I decided to try doing a jog with them both. I figured it would be good to y'know take an interest in what they like." Cody smiled brightly.

Confessional: Sky

"It was nice of Cody to join us this time. Sure he didn't do so well, but it's nice he tried." Sky said warmly.

Confessional Ends

The frisbee throwing game ended with Lightning catching the frisbee. "And with five catches, Lightning wins the game!"

Duncan rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah. I'm gonna go carve a few skulls onto some trees."

Dawn and Harold watched them leave before turning their attention to each other. "I feel like now is the time to tell you this," Dawn said first.

Harold smiled instantly. "I'm fully gonna listen to what you have to say."

"It's not about our feelings if you're thinking about that," Dawn quickly stated.

"Dang," Harold moaned.

"A great force has been messing with the game and everybody on the island," Dawn started.

"I know. That was Heather," Harold said.

"It was at first, but with her thankfully gone, she's been replaced by Jo," Dawn emphasized seriously.

"Jo?" Harold got surprised.

"Yes, her. She's apathetic and bossy towards us, but she's rather crafty," Dawn said. "She got the girls to vote off Shawn and Ella told me about how she was told to stay away from Beth."

"Beth's been around Jo for a while, and so is Lightning," Harold realized.

"Brick used to partner up with Jo, but they've gone their separate ways with their own alliances," Dawn reminisced. "The difference is that Brick actually values Sky and Cody, while Jo will be perfectly fine with betraying Beth and Lightning if it benefits her."

"I believe you about her, and we should both tell Lightning and Beth to cut ties with her," Harold said. "I'll tell Lightning and you'll tell Beth."

"I'm not a hundred percent sure if it'll work, but I'll give the plan a try," Dawn nodded.

"Thanks for listening to me," Harold replied.

Soon the speakers went off and Chris began speaking "Morning campers. Your next challenge awaits you at the arts and crafts center."

We then see a tiny shack as Chris and the nine contestants stand outside of it.

"Welcome to the Arts and Crafts Center." Chris announced.

"More like the Arts and Crap Center." Duncan grunted.

"Yeah, it used to be an outhouse, but now it's where Chef parks his road hog." Chris explained before kicking the door open to show Chef's red motorcycle.

"Which brings me to today's challenge, building your own wheels." Chris smirked.

"Cool, we're building motorcycles." Cody said happily.

"You'll find all the parts you need in our bike depot." Chris gestured to a pile of bicycle parts.

"Bicycles?" Beth said. "That's much more suited for me."

"Once you finish with the basics, you can trick'em out with props from the arts and crafts center." Chris continued.

Chris then put on his army helmet, got on an ATV and drove off "Best design wins. And to prove I'm a nice guy, I'm even throwing in a bike manual."

Chris then threw a green book to Dawn who recoiled in disgust and dropped it "I can do without the mold."

"Tell me about it," Jo said with disgust. "I get first dibs!"

Confessional: Duncan

Duncan was looking pretty confident. "Finally, a challenge I can get behind. I used to build bikes back home with my brothers all the time. Okay, so I used to steal them from the dweebs down the street and crash them into the school wall, but point is, this is something I know."

Confessional Ends

"I'm going to make a bike based off BMX," Harold grabbed handlers out of the pile. "I had one of these as a kid."

Beth came to the bike pile sad. "I've never owned a bike before. I have ridden on them, but I never got to keep one."

"Why not?" Lightning asked Beth.

"My parents were afraid of me falling off and hurting myself," Beth said. "We live on a farm, and there aren't any clear paths for me to ride any bicycles."

After Beth went the other way, Duncan got in between Harold and Lightning. "Guys. If we want to vote the chicks out, then our bikes have to kick butt. Capiche?"

"You're right about that," Harold smiled with determination.

"I didn't tell you guys this, but I'm in an alliance with Beth and Jo, and being with you two is too complicated," Lightning told his former teammates.

Duncan groaned under his breath. "Fine then. You don't need to be working with us if you don't want to be a traitor."

"I knew you'd understand," Lightning said before Harold and Duncan gathered their pieces. "Now what am I gonna build?"

Unaware of his surroundings, Jo has been revealed to overhear Lightning talking with the two boys.

Confessional: Jo

"So Lightning worked with the other guys in order to get one of the girls kicked out?" Jo ranted. "He's lucky enough that Sky and her group helped kick off Shawn, but I don't really need Protein Puff anymore. I only required him for his vote in the ceremonies."

Confessional Ends

Beth was looking at his parts to build her bike until Jo stood in front of her. "I need you to come with me for a second."

"Okay," Beth awkwardly obeyed while taking her parts.

Jo stopped them near the door. "I know I'm not exactly Sunshine Sally, but I do support you and Lightning."

"You made everyone vote Ella off and you tricked me into voting out Noah," Beth remembered the events.

"I'll admit I'm a little rough around the edges, but to show that I care, I'll build your bike along with mine," Jo said willingly.

"Are you being serious?" Beth gasped.

"We're in an alliance, and if we're not careful, one of us will be eliminated and we'll be left without each other," Jo told the wannabe.

"What about Lightning?" Beth asked the jockette. "He is in our alliance."

"He's a sports freak. I'm sure he can create a bike and place high enough to not get kicked off," Jo finished before entering the depot.

The shot cut to Duncan, Harold, and Lightning simply planning out their bikes.

Meanwhile, Cody was holding a bike pedal and showing it to Sky. "Where does this go?"

"That's the pedal. Haven't you ever ridden a bike before?" Sky wondered.

"No. I've never had to ride a bike just to go places," Cody said back. "What about you?"

"Cycling is part of the Olympics, so my parents bought me a bike just so I can train for it," Sky explained.

"Can you build a bicycle though?" Cody looked at the girl.

"Sadly, I don't know how," Sky felt dejected.

"Make room, soldiers!" Brick announced before placing more parts into the pile. "With what we've collected, I'm guaranteed that we'll be able to create three functional bicycles."

"Bad news; we don't have any experience in making bikes from scratch," Sky said.

"That's unfortunate to hear," Brick sympathized with the two.

"We have to read the manual because the other boys have an alliance going and Lightning, Beth, and Jo are united, which means it's us against them," Cody said.

"In that case, let's put our best effort into creating our own bikes," Brick took charge. "Sky, you go get the manual. Cody, bring an air hose over here. I'll stay here and sort out our materials."

As Beth was waiting for Jo to come out with the bikes, Dawn tapped her on her shoulder.

"Dawn? What do you need?" Beth asked the moonchild.

"Just a word with you," Dawn assured her. "We're all building our bikes, yet you're not doing anything."

"Jo said she's gonna build my bike for me just so I won't have to struggle," Beth smiled.

"I'm not sure that's why she's building your bike," Dawn disagreed. "She has an ulterior motive behind it."

"What are you talking about?" Beth frowned. "She's trying to be nice."

"She's trying to keep you closer to herself so that you'd be loyal and serving until you reach the finale," Dawn spoke the truth.

"Jo can be bossy, but she's protecting me from any sort of danger," Beth tried to defend her ally.

"But is this what you really want?" Dawn seriously asked her. "Your aura tells me that you're feeling unhappy and weary of what will happen in the future."

"I don't know what auras are, but I'm not being blackmailed at all," Beth spoke defensively, before realizing what she said in horror.

"Blackmailed?" Dawn squeaked out.

"Forget I said anything!" Beth hurriedly said before running away.

Confessional: Dawn

"Beth has been forced into a partnership against her own will," Dawn groaned, "and now that she openly told me about it, I wonder what I can do to help."

Confessional Ends

Duncan and Harold were building their bikes near each other.

"Hey. Do you remember your first bike ride?" Harold asked Duncan.

"Oh yeah. I went down so bad, I popped my collar bone," Duncan said. "You could see it sticking right out of my shoulder. It was wicked."

"I flew so far over my handlebars that I skid for a mile," Harold gladly said. "My skin was hanging off me in multiple ways."

"Good times," Duncan sighed.

"If it's not any trouble, do you plan on voting for Jo?" Harold began his campaign. "She was the one who got the others to boot Shawn, and Dawn is already on board with the plan."

"I was never fond of her, so yeah, I'll help you two," Duncan smirked.

"I'm glad to hear that," Harold complimented.

"No worries," Duncan brushed it off. "Let's get back to crafting our bikes."

Confessional: Duncan

"Harold helped me with my bike, and I spray painted his color choices," Duncan said. "It's not something you'd expect from me, but I'm comfortable with helping my friends."

Confessional Ends

"Do you need any help with your contraption?" Harold looked at Lightning struggling to build his bike.

"I can handle this by myself," Lightning ignored Harold.

"If you say so, but I want you to help us get rid of Jo," Harold begged. "I know you're in an alliance with her, but just think about it."

"To be fair, I did vote for Beth, but that was because I knew we were outnumbered," Lightning said. "This time, Jo will be the one outnumbered."

"Dawn said that she's planning to betray you," Harold brought up the topic. "Should that happen, come talk to us."

Harold went back to his bike, leaving Lightning to think for a while.

"Campers, time to judge your bikes. Put your pedal to the metal and meet me at the crafts center." Chris announced on the loudspeakers.

Soon we see Chris with all the campers in a line with their bikes.

Well campers, time to see what you could come up with." Chris walked through to judge the bikes.

We then see Sky with a purple spray painted bike.

"Excellent aerodynamics Sky." Chris said happily.

"Thanks, it weighs enough for me to sit down on it." Sky informed the host.

We then see Cody's yellow spray painted bike.

"Pretty good bike Cody." Chris said making Cody smirk with pride.

We then see Duncan's black bike with a skull ornament on the front of it.

"Wicked Mad Max-mobile, dude." Chris gave him a check.

We then see Dawn had a bike with a dolphin head on the front.

"I created the dolphin head as a decoration," Dawn informed the host. "I want to use the money to help them survive."

We then see Lightning's sloppily put together bike.

"Dude. Seriously? This is lame." Chris frowned, causing Lightning to feel bothered.

We then see Harold's similarly styled BMX bike.

"Now this is a hot rod. Nice!" Chris grinned.

"It's the HMC… Harold Moto Cross," Harold proudly said.

Lastly, we see Brick's camo colored bike.

"Brick, nice job," Chris said. "Alright then, We're gonna race these babies hard!"

Jo didn't look worried at all. "My bike is built for speed, and so is yours, Bumble Beth," Jo informed Beth.

"Yeah, unfortunately, you won't be riding it, Jo. You'll be switching bikes," Chris announced, much to everyone's shock. "Yeah. Cruel twist, huh? All righty then. See you at the beach!" Chris said before walking off.

We then headed to the beach where the nine campers stood in front of a white line, Chef stood behind it reading a book and holding a flag. Chris sat on an ATV as he began speaking "Ok, here's how it works." Chris then took out a bike helmet with cards in it "Everyone picks a name out of the helmet to see whose bike you're riding. The first four bikes that make it across the finish line get to ride it in the final race for invincibility, while the five losers have to face the elimination ceremony."

We then see Jo looking at her card before turning to Beth. "I didn't get your bike, but it seems like Sky got mine."

"This means we may not get to ride for immunity," Beth whispered nervously.

"We'll cross the bridge when we get there, but Sky just has to cross the finish line on my bike and I'll win the challenge," Jo told her.

Confessional: Beth

"I really hope that the person who has my bike is careful while riding it, otherwise I might be eliminated," Beth begged hard.

Confessional Ends

The camera then flashed to the start of the race, Sky was on Jo's bike, Jo was on Dawn's bike, Dawn was on Lightning's bike, Lightning was on Duncan's bike, Duncan was on Harold's bike, Harold was on Cody's bike, Cody was on Brick's bike, Brick was on Beth's bike, and Beth was on Sky's bike.

"Ok Racers!" Chris announced. "On your marks," Dawn was seen with a determined face. "Get set!" Duncan had a confident smirk. "Paramedics on standby," Chris muttered under his breath. "Aaaand drag!"

Soon everyone except Dawn and Lightning started.

"Where's the pedals on this thing?" Lightning asked himself while sitting on Duncan's bike.

Dawn, who had the misfortune of being on Lightning's bike, immediately had the bike fall apart, taking her out of the running.

Confessional: Dawn

"So it seems I had the misfortune of getting Lightning's bike." Dawn explained. "Vehicle building is not in his nature."

Confessional Ends

Soon we saw everyone was racing.

Jo was doing well on Dawn's bike, but kept getting a cloud of sand all over her face thanks to Duncan, who was in front of her.

"Okay, the bike switching thing was unexpected, but yeehaw, this is one movin' ride!" Duncan told a passing Sky excitedly.

"You can say that again!" Sky cheered as well.

Beth was keeping a steady pace on Jo's bike in order not to break it.

Cody and Brick were racing by each other.

"Cool colors you got on your bike," Cody called out.

"I was going for a military theme," Brick said. "Now remember to focus on the road, or otherwise we'd crash."

"Good call on helping me with my bike though," Cody smiled. "Whoever has it is pretty lucky."

Confessional: Cody

"So I forgot one minor detail," Cody sheepishly said, "which are the bolts."

Confessional Ends

Harold was cruising fine until Cody's bike disconnected and fell apart, taking him out of the race.

Cody saw that his own bike was destroyed but was too late to stop Beth's bike from colliding with it, leaving Cody and Harold tangled up with their broken bikes.

Brick passed by the two. "Fallen soldiers, I salute you!"

Back at the starting line, Lightning pulled the skulled hood ornament of Duncan's bike, causing him to blast off with extreme speed. He managed to cross the finish line and bury Chef under the sand.

Chris, who was driving his ATV, saw Sky, Duncan, Jo, Beth, and Brick cross the finish line.

"Yes!" Chris said. "We have three awesome wipeouts by Harold and Cody. And four invincibility race winners: Dawn's dolphin machine, Jo's speed machine, Harold's HMC, and Duncan's lethal weapon."

"How do I stop this thing?" Lightning hollered while still speeding on Duncan's bike.

"Slam the hood ornament!" Duncan reminded the overachiever.

Lightning did as he was told, and as a result, he got shot out of the bike and onto Chef.

"Awesome finish, Lightning. It's time to head over to the TDI Motocross!" Chris chuckled and drove off.

After he left, Jo touched the dolphin's fin and saw how sharp it was. Hatching an idea, she took off the dolphin head and quickly poked tiny holes the tires before placing it back.

"Dawn and Harold are getting a little too close to ruining my chances of victory. This will weaken them for a while," Jo chuckled before running off.

Unbeknownst to her, Sky had seen her running off from Dawn's bike.

Confessional: Sky

"What was Jo doing near Dawn's bike?" Sky asked with curiosity, "Why would she be interested in it in any way."

Confessional Ends

We then see Cody, Brick, Lightning, Beth, and Sky watching from the ledge as Duncan, Harold, Jo, and Dawn were at the finish line.

"Nice bike you got there," Harold said to Dawn.

"I appreciate your compliment," Dawn smiled. "Your bike is just as good."

"I've got one word for you two," Duncan whispered to them. "Focus, or we won't win invincibility."

"Don't worry. We will," Dawn assured the delinquent.

Chris began speaking "Campers welcome to the: MOTO MOTO MOTO CROSS CROSS CROSS CHALLENGE CHALLENGE CHALLENGE!" Chris then continued in his normal voice "Using your own wheels, you'll race the course avoiding hidden pitfalls. There's also dodging the landmines, maneuvering through the oil slick, and finally the jumping piranhas. Oh! And one more thing. First one to cross wins invincibility from the vote. Aaaaand race!" Chris smirked.

The four racers took off and began racing.

Harold was the first to touch a land mine. When it happened, it exploded and destroyed his bike and his chances of winning.

Duncan, Dawn, and Jo were able to avoid the mines and pass through.

Next Duncan went through the oil slick but it was too slippery for him and his bike and they fell on the floor. Dawn and Jo then passed Duncan.

After they passed through that, Dawn was starting to have trouble with controlling her bike. Thanks to the holes punctuated in the tires, they quickly lost air.

Dawn saw the tires explode and after that happened, it sent her flying off the bike and into…

…the piranha pool.

Dawn's screams can be heard as the piranhas were biting into her body.

Those who were watching gasped in horror over what was happening, and even Harold and Duncan had recovered just to witness Dawn's peril.

"She's gonna get hurt!" Duncan called out.

"Can someone pull her out?" Brick wondered.

Jo, who was also shocked as well, got off her bike and threw it in the water. The bike got the piranhas' attention and they moved from biting Dawn to biting the bike.

Jo quickly pulled Dawn out of the water, and Harold, Chef, and Chris raced over to the scene to see that she was bleeding and bruises and bite marks were all over her body.

"Are you going to be okay, Dawn?" Harold asked.

"I hope so, Harold," Dawn breathed out.

"So yeah. Due to what just happened now, I'll have to cancel the challenge in order to prevent any more damages," Chris told everybody.

"So there's no immunity?" Cody asked him.

"There's no point trying to achieve it today," Chris sighed. "Dawn will be medically evacuated so that her injuries will heal, but that also means she's out of the game as well."

Harold turned to Dawn. "I'm so sorry about this," he frowned sadly.

"It is for the best," Dawn moaned. "I won't be able to compete in the condition that I'm in."

Jo was trying her best to look stiff, but she turned her back to frown with guilt.

Confessional: Jo

"I just wanted Dawn to not win invincibility. That's why I punctuated her bike tires," Jo admitted. "How was I supposed to know that she would get attacked?"

Confessional Ends

Chef placed Dawn on a stretcher and was about to take her to the boat, but Harold stopped him.

"I just want to say a few things before you take her away," Harold told Chef, who nodded with concern and let him do his business.

"You can say what you need to say," Dawn said.

"Dawn, you're the coolest person I've ever met," Harold started. "You're mysterious and compassionate and very supportive of everyone that's around you. I don't have many friends, but you're the best one by far."

"You're really thoughtful and caring towards me Harold," Dawn replied. "I've been considered odd and creepy, but you saw past that just to get to know me. I appreciate it."

"After the show is over, would you like to go out with me sometime?" Harold proposed.

Dawn was touched to hear those words. "I would love to do so."

Harold bent down to kiss Dawn on the lips, and the contestants and hosts were watching the scene with smiles on their faces. Duncan even gave the two a thumbs up.

They stopped kissing after a few seconds, and Dawn waved goodbye to Harold while Chef escorted her to the Boat of Losers. Harold waved back as well, but soon got sad by her departure.

Dawn and Chef then got on the Boat Of Losers and began drifting away to the sunset while everyone waved to them.

Confessional: Cody

"Nice job, Harold," Cody smiled. "You managed to get a girlfriend. That'll give hope to geeks and dweebs everywhere in the world." He soon started to get serious. "I do feel bad for Dawn's condition though."

Confessional: Sky

"Dawn wouldn't have gotten attacked by the piranhas had Jo not intervened," Sky said seriously. "I'll make sure to get Jo out of the island before she causes more harm towards us.

Confessionals End

Later at night, Harold walked to where Duncan's bike was lying. "Duncan said this'll make me feel better about what happened, and I already read the instructions."

He got on the bike and pulled the hood ornament. In a few seconds, Harold went speeding around the island.

"THIS IS SO AWESOME!!" Harold yelled as he did a few tricks on the bike and dodged the obstacles.

He stayed like this for the rest of the night and enjoyed himself.

Author's Note: And so with that, Dawn is eliminated via injury. I wanted to give a more fair elimination than canon did. Don't know if elimination by injury is worse than being eliminated by stupid rules but I feel it's more realistic and dramatic. Dawn was never gonna win Island, she was actually gonna leave two episodes earlier with a conflict between her and Harold formulated by Jo but then I realized they're too smart for that.
