Jack
"You look really beautiful." I told Inara, sitting at the table.
Andy
I was sitting at a table with two of Carina's friends.
"Andy, come on. I-" It was Robert.
"Oh, my God."
I got up out of my seat.
I gasped when I saw Katherine.
"Mrs. Bishop." I greeted.
"Hi, Andy. Sorry. Is it ok-"
"It's more than okay."
"Okay."
I was guiding Katherine to a table.
Vic
"Hey, y- You know..." Miller greeted.
"Hey."
"It's really not fair to the other humans that you're so good at everything you do."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, most people barely get one talent, let alone all of them, right?"
"Oh. Thanks, man."
I laughed, walking away from him.
"Um..."
Montgomery
Emmett was handing me a Beer.
"You look great." I complimented him.
"Oh, I'm wearing shape wear, so I can only have, like, three pierogis, max."
We both laughed.
We clanked Beers.
Andy
One of their friends clanked a fork against their glass.
I stopped the music.
"There you go."
"Okay."
Vic was playing her guitar.
"Love me tender
Love me sweet
Never let me go."
Warren appeared with Maya and Carina.
"You have made my life complete."
He started the walk down the aisle with them.
"And I love you so."
Maya smiled when she saw Katherine.
"Love me tender."
Robert glanced over at me.
I ignored him.
"Love me true
All my dreams fulfilled."
I took their bouquets from them.
"For, my darling."
They joined hands.
"I love you
And I always will."
Everybody clapped for Vic.
"Yay!" She commented.
"Now, I understand you wrote your own vows?" Warren questioned since he was the officiant.
"Oh, my God!" Maya commented.
"What?" Carina questioned.
"I f- F- Forgot we were writing our own vows. Oh, my God."
She laughed.
"I got so excited about it. I'm so sorry. I'm-"
Carina laughed.
"No. No, no, no, no, no. Hey."
"I can't- I'm so-"
"This is perfect. It's okay, it's okay. Listen to yourself. Queen of the Clipboard Maya Bishop was so excited about something that she forgot. I love that."
"Sorry."
Both of them laughed.
"I love- I love you. And I choose you. Forever."
Katherine cried.
"Sorry. Sorry. Keep going." She told her.
"I don't need to say anything else. We're good." Carina told Warren.
"You're good?" He questioned.
"Yeah. Yeah." Maya replied.
Carina nodded her head.
Warren chuckled.
"Then, Maya Bishop, do you take-"
"I do."
"Me too."
Everybody laughed.
"Well, I now pronounce you Wife and Wife."
"Aww."
They kissed.
"Yay!" I cheered.
We clapped and cheered for them.
"Just got married!"
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!"
I danced around with Vic.
I danced around with Emmett.
I was dancing around.
We were all standing to the side.
Jack and Inara clapped as Robert danced.
Montgomery and Inara danced.
Maya and Carina kissed.
Ruiz danced around.
We clapped and cheered.
Maya
Carina and me clanked Wine glasses.
Montgomery
"Hey." Ruiz greeted as I was pouring Whiskey into a glass.
"Hey." I greeted, setting it down.
"So, is Emmett- Is that your new guy?"
Emmett and Vic were dancing together.
I took a sip of my drink.
"It's cool. That's- That was too much."
"No, it's fine. Uh... Not- But not really."
"Uh... That's not a no."
"Well, it's not a yes."
"Basically a yes. It's like the cousin of yes."
"He was and then I kind of broke his heart, and now I... Don't know."
I slid my suit jacket back on.
"You just said so much more than you think you said."
I laughed.
"You know, Michael always said you gotta find your happy."
"Yeah. I'm pretty sure he wasn't picturing me with other guys when he said that."
Ruiz laughed.
"Fair."
I looked down.
"But he wouldn't want you to be alone."
Robert
I watched as Andy walked pass me.
Andy
I was over at the buffet.
I saw Robert.
"Andy, come on. Look. Just- Just hear me out. Alright?"
"What- What can you possibly say that would excuse what you did?"
"What I did was save 19."
I shook my head.
I walked outside.
"Yeah. Weddings do that." It was Gibson.
I sighed.
"You okay?"
"You fall in love and you just- You assume that that will be enough, you know? The- The good sex and the feeling like you-"
I stood next to Jack.
"You might die if you can't kiss that person everyday will be enough to hold you together. But then when life hits you hard and when choices need to be made, you realize you don't really know the person you thought you loved."
I sighed.
"Is it a bad time to ask for relationship advice?"
I laughed.
"Yes."
He looked away.
"You finally gonna tell me what's going on with you and Inara?"
"She's moving to Cali to be with her Sister and she didn't ask me to come along. Marsha thinks she wants me to, but, uh, I don't know. I mean, should I... Should I propose to her? Or let her go?"
"The fact that you're asking me that isn't a clue for you?"
Jack looked over at me.
"Okay. Look. I... I married Robert after one night of telling each other all our thoughts, and, look, we haven't had a conversation like that since. We... Confused lust for love... And protocols for respect. I don't know what to tell you. All I'm saying is you have to decide if the thought of losing her is worse than the thought of changing your life to be with her."
He glanced over at me.
We both sighed.
I was remembering the conversation Robert and me had the night before we got married.
We were in our room.
"I've been thinking about that conversation we had... After Lunch with your Dad."
"Oh?"
"Yeah."
I chuckled.
"A lot, actually. I've been in love with you for a long time. And I put my job before what I knew was right."
He was stroking my arm as I was laying on his chest.
"And it was cowardly. It's what my father did. It was what my grandfather did." Robert continued.
"Hmm."
"I'm fighting a lineage of mistakes. It's in my blood. But I'm breaking that pattern starting now. I love you. And I want to marry you." He confessed.
I shut my eyes for a second.
I opened them.
Robert kissed my forehead.
"I... I- I do- I don't want to get married to check a box on an HR form."
I sat up.
"But that's-"
"I don't want to get married because Hughes and Ripley didn't get to-"
"No. This is- No. This is not about rules or loopholes."
He sat up.
"This is-"
"I-"
"No. Shh. Shh. This is- This is about me asking you to be my Wife. That's... That's it."
I stared at Robert.
"People date for a long time so they can learn all the ugly, awful things about each other."
"Mm-hmm."
"We've- We've been in love for a long time but this... This is brand new. We only know the good stuff. Like, how do- How do we get married when we only know the good stuff?"
"Alright. I snore sometimes."
I gave Robert a look.
"Not like a rhythmic snoring. More like one loud snort."
I smiled.
"I've been accused of being too neat."
"Mm."
"To a fault. Possibly compulsion."
"Hmm."
"I drive too fast. I'm too nervous on planes. I- I'm quick to anger."
I nodded my head.
"I don't say that I'm sorry nearly as quickly as I should. And if Oysters are served, I will not share mine."
I chuckled.
"Now you."
"I... I have a hundred pairs of socks because I hate doing laundry."
He laughed.
"Jeez."
"I eat crappy sugar cereal out of the box with my hands."
"Mm."
"I am quick to anger too. I'm stubborn too. I... I take stuff way too personally sometimes."
Robert nodded his head.
"And... I was almost engaged to Jack."
"Gibson? Y- Your roommate?"
"Yeah. It was a while ago."
"Okay."
"I mean, I said "No." Obviously."
I chuckled.
"Also, I slept with him. I slept with him recently too. Around the time of the camping trip."
"H- How-"
"And again after that call with the rocket."
He looked down.
"But he's my friend. I'm not in love with him. But I'm not willing to..."
"Okay."
"Cut him off as a friend."
Robert nodded his head.
I sighed.
"Before I got my TENS device... I was self-medicating."
"You told me."
"Yeah, but I was self-medicating and I stole Fentanyl from the PRT. I OD'd. And I almost died. And I'm clean now... But I have serious amends to make. And when I do... I might lose my job."
We kissed.
I remembered our Wedding day.
I was pacing back and forth, waiting for Dad.
"Andrea..."
I turned around to face him.
"Listen..."
Dad took my hands in his.
"I know, that he's a good man, Andrea. I just- I don't understand the rush."
He sighed.
"It- It was really, really hard for me to come to terms with your decision not to get treatment."
Dad looked away.
"I broke a lot of Beer bottles. I went to a condemned burn site and smashed the walls with a sledge for hours. I- I screamed into a lot of pillows. But I did it. I let go. And, you know, he helped me through a lot of it. Robert makes me feel..."
I chuckled.
"He makes me feel. Not a lot of men have done that. He loves me, Dad. I know that much. And when you realized you loved Mama, how long did you wait?" I questioned Dad.
"Five minutes."
I chuckled.
I nodded my head at him.
"I want my Dad here for this.
"I'm here. I'm here." Dad told me as we hugged.
"Okay." He said, breaking the hug.
We nodded heads at each other.
I looped my arm with Dad's.
"Vamonos."
I chuckled for him speaking Spanish.
Dad walked me down the aisle.
"Do you, Andrea Herrera, take Robert Sullivan to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do." I answered.
"Do you, Robert Sullivan, take Andrea Herrera to be your lawfully wedded Wife?"
"I do." Robert answered.
"Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, Robert, and you, Andrea... Husband and Wife. You may kiss your Bride."
Dad clapped as we kissed.
I remembered when Robert announced we were married to the team.
I was getting food at the table.
"Dixon knows."
I looked back at Robert.
He cleared his throat.
"Knows what?"
"Everything. You, me, us. The drugs. He knows. It's all over. No one loses their job."
"Are you serious?"
"And he also approve your father's Line of Duty funeral."
"Oh, my God, Robert. That's amazing."
"Listen. I want to be able to kiss my Wife in public."
"We're not in public. We're at work."
"Well, I want to let them know."
"What?"
"Mm-hmm."
"No. I- It's not the time-"
"Everybody!" Robert called.
They gave him their undivided attention.
"I- I just want to let you know that, uh... Thanks to you, we won. We, uh... Got the funding for Captain Herrera's Line of Duty funeral."
There was cheers and applause.
"Yes! Yes!" He encouraged.
Vic and Miller high-fived.
Robert grabbed me as I was walking away.
"And, um... One more announcement while I have you here."
"Come on." I told him as he moved me next to him.
"Don't be scared."
I looked over them.
"I would like to say publicly that I love this woman. And I love her so much that I married her."
I shook my head.
"So, this is sort of our Wedding reception."
Everybody clapped.
Maya
"Okay, if I have to be honest..."
"Hm!" I commented.
"I think part of me didn't want to get married because I was afraid of the Wedding drama. I mean, my family- Not a great track record. At my parents' Wedding, my Aunt Stella, she had a heart attack. And- And at my cousin's Wedding, my Mom stabbed my Dad in his hand."
I chuckled.
"I know. It- Yeah. It- It's kind of concerning that we have no drama to speak of."
"Well, I think we front-loaded all of our drama pre-Wedding."
"Yeah."
"Yeah. Yeah."
We kissed.
"Hey, newlyweds. Congratulations." Emmett told us, sitting down.
Montgomery
I was dancing with Vic.
I was watching Emmett.
"So, you're just not gonna tell him?" She questioned.
Miller
"So, you're just not gonna tell her?" Warren questioned.
"I didn't say that."
Montgomery
"I am. I am. I just-"
"What?"
Miller
"I just think it's selfish, you know? Making it about me tonight." I questioned.
"Making what about you?" Miranda questioned, joining us.
"Miller is in love."
Montgomery
"I just... I love you. You're my person. And you always will be." I practiced on Vic.
"Travis, you know we've been over this. I'm not gonna just-"
"Look. Stop. Stop. I'm being serious right now. I'm not joking. I need you to hear me."
She stopped goofing off.
"I know that you have some big feelings for Theo and I know that I made it clear that that was a friendship-ender..."
Miller
"Miller. Have you learned nothing?" Miranda questioned.
Warren took a sip of his Wine.
"You could drown on your way home tonight. You could find a growth tomorrow morning. Right? No day is promised."
"Mm-hmm." He agreed.
I watched Vic and Montgomery dancing.
"Nothing's given. So, go!" She told me.
"Mm!"
"Tell Hughes you love her!"
"What- I didn't- I didn't say anything about Hughes. Why are we even talking about Hughes? Who- Who said anything about Hughes?"
Warren chuckled.
"Come on, man. We're married. W- We're married. This is..."
I sighed.
"Alright. I'll tell her. I'll tell her, I'll tell her, I'll tell her."
He laughed.
"And, um... I'm gonna take the win. I said I wanted to help Joyce and settling, it's- It's gonna help her. So, the lawsuit ends but the work- The work continues."
"Yeah."
"Yeah."
We shook hands.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"Yep."
"Yeah."
Warren
I laughed.
"I'm gonna take the win too. No third opinion."
Miranda gasped.
"Promise?"
I laughed.
"Promise."
"Okay."
We kissed.
Jack
Maya had invited Inara to dance.
She laughed.
"No. Please. Please."
"Yeah. Come dance with us." I told her.
Maya danced off.
I sat down at the table with Inara.
"Yeah. I- I was thinking-"
"Oh, don't. Don't. W- Whatever it is you're about to propose, don't."
She cleared her throat.
"You don't love me, Jack."
I was confused.
"You love our family. And I love it too. We're gonna go to California and you're gonna stay here and stay with Marsha. And we'll always have love for you, Jack. But I can't keep breaking Marcus' heart, building a life with you I know can't last."
Inara cleared her throat.
I looked down.
"Thank you for saving me, Jack. I hope someday you can save yourself."
We hugged.
"See you soon." She told me in sign.
I did it back.
Montgomery
I went into the men's bathroom.
Emmett was in here.
"Ooh-"
"Oh! Hey." I greeted.
"Hey." He greeted.
"Hey."
"Uh... You got a little... Something there."
Emmett pulled something out of my hair.
"Emmett, I like you. And I know that I broke your heart but I didn't have the guts to love you back, and... Now that I've... I mean. I've kind of been looking at myself a lot lately. I realized that maybe I wasn't... As brave as I thought I was. So... I just... I like you and I want us to be more than friends."
"Whoa. Uh..."
He chuckled.
"Travis, um... God. Uh..."
Emmett sighed.
"Getting over you, uh... Was maybe the hardest thing that I ever had to do. And, uh... I really don't think that I can do it again. I'm sorry. I just... I really like being friends."
I nodded my head.
I moved out of his way of the door.
Emmett grabbed my arm.
We kissed.
Miller
I headed outside since I couldn't find Vic inside.
I saw Ruiz and her making out.
I walked back inside.
Robert
Andy came back in from outside.
"If I could catch a star for you
I swear I'd steal them all tonight.
To make your every wish come true
Your every dream for all your life
But that's not how the story goes
The world is full of perfect plans."
"This song? Really?"
Maya laughed.
"You know, this is the song I danced to with my Dad."
"Exactly. And your Dad was way more of a Dad to me than my asshole of a father."
"He'd have come today if he could've."
"I know."
"I'll fill in for him."
"Well, aren't you just a Sweetheart?"
"Dad taught me how to dance at a young age. I dance just as good as he did."
Maya and Andy were dancing.
"If there's a promise that I broke
I know one day you'll understand
When times are hard, I know you'll be strong
I'll be there in your heart and you will carry on
Like moon light on the water
And sunlight in the sky
Fathers and daughters never say goodbye."
Maya laughed as Andy spun her in a circle.
"My Wedding day was as traditional as every single God damn person's Wedding day at this place."
"Oh, really?"
"Really."
"With only one person in attendance?"
"The only person whose opinion really mattered."
"And you thought I would stop you?"
"Would you have stopped me?"
"Probably."
"I don't regret not waiting. Because if I had waited, Dad wouldn't have been there. A week later, he was gone."
"The angel I would read to sleep
Gave me one dream of my own.
To learn to love and spread your wings
And find the one to call your home.
When times are hard, I know you'll be strong.
I'll be there in your heart and you will carry on
Like moon light on the water
And sunlight in the sun
Fathers and daughters never say goodbye.
When times are hard, I know you'll be strong
I'll be in your heart and you will carry on
Like moonlight on the water
And sunlight in the sky
Fathers and daughters never say goodbye.
Fathers and daughters never say goodbye."
"Andy, you have to try the Oysters here."
Andy and me found out the hard way that she's allergic to Oysters.
I had made them one night for Dinner and followed the recipe everybody else uses.
Her throat had started closing up.
I had to intubate Andy before the EMTs got there it was that bad.
"I'm good, Maya. I actually tried one of them already. I wasn't a fan of them." She lied.
"I know when you're lying, Andy."
Andy laughed.
"Forget about whatever other Oyster you tried that tasted terrible. Because this one doesn't."
She sighed.
"Bishop—"
Maya shoved the whole Oyster in Andy's mouth.
"Don't do that." I completed my sentence.
She was coughing violently to try to get it out of her mouth.
"What the—"
"Andy's allergic to Oysters, Maya. God damn it."
I shoved pass her.
Andy couldn't breathe.
"Get me something to intubate her. Now."
I was kneeling beside her.
"Now!"
Warren handed me a tube.
"I can't see the back of her throat."
"You got to go in through her throat then."
Andy grabbed my arm.
I looked closer at her throat.
There was a scar on Andy's throat.
It looked like a scar from an old surgery.
"And I'm gonna guess and say the only two other people who know what happened aren't here." Montgomery guessed.
She pointed at him.
Andy motioned for a pen and paper.
Carina got it from Katherine who got it from the owner.
She handed it to her.
Andy wrote a few fragments.
She pushed it at me.
"15. Motorcycle. Incident. Ryan. Dad. Fire Chief. Never forget the look on his face when he ignored his order. The same look Ripley had on his face when I stuck it to him. The look on McCallister's face when Maya stuck it to him."
"He was so pissed that night."
"Wait. Captain Herrera defied his Fire Chief too?"
"Yeah. It seems like it."
"When was this, Andy?"
Andy held up eight fingers.
"August?"
She pointed at Montgomery.
Andy held up five fingers.
"Fifth?"
She pointed at Emmett.
Andy made a "O" and a then put five fingers up.
"You were 15 in 2005?"
"You do the math, genius. 31 - 15 = 16 years ago."
"And we've handled thousands of cases since then."
"Thanks, Andy."
She gave her a thumbs up.
"You guys got this?"
"Yeah. Go."
Maya left with Carina.
"You make me feel old, girl." Montgomery told Andy.
"Warren."
"Yeah. I got it."
He kneeled on the other side of her.
"I'm gonna guess that this is gonna hurt you a lot more than it's gonna hurt me to do it, Andy."
She waved him on.
Andy was groaning in pain as Warren made the cut right below the scar.
"What the hell did those Doctors do to you?"
She had passed out from the amount pain she was in.
"Warren."
"Sorry, sorry."
He stuck the tube in Andy's throat.
"Come on. Breathe, Andy." I said, since she wasn't breathing.
I let out a sigh of relief as Andy started breathing.
Gibson arrived with Aid Car 19.
McCallister
I got notice that Aid Car 19 was at Kaminski.
I looked through the dispatch calls.
19 wasn't on shift.
"Aid Car 19, report."
"This is Warren, Chief. One of our Lieutenants is down."
"So, previous trauma at 15?"
"Ryan on a motorcycle."
"Oh."
"Yeah. So..."
Robert
I carried Andy out.
I loaded her onto the gurney in the Aid Car.
I got up into the Aid Car with Andy.
Warren drove off to Grey Sloan.
"I called Miranda in. Meredith and her are gonna fix whatever the hell the Surgeon did to her throat. Cause it should not look like that."
