Boys: Brick, Duncan, Lightning
Girls: Jo, Sky
"Last time on Total Drama Island… In a special episode, we visited the kicked off campers in their resort of rejects, Playa de Losers." Chris recapped "We learned that Dawn and Harold are still going strong, Sadie is still her perky self, and Shawn is still as paranoid as ever. Now that we've done that, it's time to get back to basics here on Total Drama Island."
(After theme song)
We then see that it is raining outside and Chris began speaking "Welcome back to Total Drama Island. This week, we prepared a bizarre episode full of surprises. For instance, take this weather. Rain is not an easy thing to control, let me tell you. But we figured the four remaining campers were gettin' off way too easy. So, we pulled some strings and voila."
Soon we see the cabins where Duncan was relaxing and Brick and Sky were just talking.
The loudspeakers began going off "Listen up campers. One of the most grueling challenges of any summer camp experience is the dreaded rain day. Where all activities with even the remotest possibility of fun is canceled in favor of the craft tent. The forecast for tomorrow? Rain, rain and more rain followed by, rain! See you all at the craft tent tomorrow, at 0700 hours!"
"I know I messed up voting for Beth," Brick said, "but I thought you'd do the same as well."
"Jo has done much worse," Sky proclaimed. "She got Heather framed a few episodes back."
"I didn't see an opportunity to vote for her there," Brick argued back.
"So nice to see you two getting along." Duncan said, sharpening a stick with his pocket knife. "I know Lightning's in his trailer, but where is Jo?"
"She's probably using the bathroom," Sky answered.
Confessional: Jo
"After the last elimination, I lost my only ally." Jo explained. "Now it's just me against the other four losers."
Confessional Ends
Meanwhile, Lightning was inside his trailer. "Man, why did it have to rain today? I could've been shooting hoops right now."
He turned on his TV, and the movie "Shazam!" started to play. "At least I can chill in my trailer for now." He jumped on his bed and started to relax.
Soon we see Sky, Brick, and Duncan go back in the cabins, as they went into their rooms for the night.
A flood then started to occur which began picking up the cabins making them adrift at sea.
Chef began to ring a handbell, the shot moving back to show him standing on the porch of the mess hall with a pot of something next to him.
Chris rode up on his ATV, a look of mild concern on his face. "Hey Chef," he asked, "you seen the campers?"
"No!" Chef replied. "And I peeled a whole bag of rotten spuds!" he said, lifting up his pot and showing off the spoiled potatoes within.
Chris scratched his head. "Hmm, I can't find them either!" he admitted as he took another look around the campgrounds. "Come to think of it, I can't even find their cabins!" The camera zoomed out from his perturbed face to show an empty clearing and a few cinder blocks where once stood a pair of buildings.
The scene cut to one of the cabins floating on the water. In the foreground, a few things floated by – mostly chairs, including one being ridden by a trio of raccoons, but more importantly a bunk bed with Brick on top and Duncan on the bottom, both sleeping calmly.
Sky burst out of the door to the cabin with a yawn, taking a step and falling into the water. The splash woke up Duncan, who cried out when he saw the water so close to him, and also fell in. That splash in turn caused Brick to stir, and with a shout of "What the?!" he became the third camper to fall into the lake.
"Where did all this water come from?" Brick panicked.
"How should I know?" Sky told him, picking leeches off her arm.
"You know, this is so ridiculous, it's almost funny." Duncan quipped. He was about to continue before a passing shark fin shut him up. It circled past them, forcing all three to yell and leap from the water.
The footage flashed ahead to show them clinging to the post and railing of the lone cabin. They shivered as they watched as the boys' bunk bed collapse into the lake, and a freshwater shark jumped out of the water and took a bite out of a passing chair.
"I'm surprised to say this," Sky said in a panic, "but I hope Lightning and Jo are okay!"
Confessional: Jo
Jo woke up inside the confessional. "Did I seriously doze off in here? I'll never live this down."
Confessional Ends
The scene showed a shot of the outhouse floating through the water as Jo opened the door. She noticed the sea of water and closed the door. "Adrift at sea. Thanks a lot McLame!"
A flash took the scene to a beach before cutting to Duncan, Brick, and Sky on a seemingly deserted island with the cabin beached on the shore.
"Platoon," Brick said with wide eyes, "this deserted island is pretty creepy."
"I'd say the same," Sky looked around, "but Chris normally uses low-budget props, so I'm not seeing eye-to-eye with you on that." She kicked a rock only to wince in pain.
"Yo goodie goodies!" Duncan interrupted. "We've obviously just drifted downstream. The producers will send a search party."
Confessional: Chris
"Just to set the record straight," Chris started irately, "my sets are not low-budget! I lost three interns moving those rocks into place!" He crossed his arms and closed his eyes, "And about that search party? Nuh-uh. Those campers are on their own!"
Confessional Ends
Chris got back to his own personal business. "So I guess that means craft day is canceled," the host said to his assistant with a cross look. He shrugged it off and said, "Anyway, let's eat!"
Chef looked at the bucket in his hands with a shocked expression. "You actually wanna eat this slop?" He asked in surprise.
Chris scoffed. "Yeah right. I meant the buffet back at our camp," he pointed behind him.
"Cool," Chef said with a chuckle. He lightly pushed Chris's chest. The host pushed back with a laugh of his own, and Chef narrowed his eyes and pushed back again with enough force to knock the host over.
Confessional: Duncan
"Well, well, well," Duncan started in his confessional. "Stuck on an island with Brickhouse and a hot girl. Too bad she's super dull."
Confessional: Brick
Brick started his confessional with a sigh. "Chris's idea of a challenge is to let us die? My boot camp never went this far."
Confessional: Sky
"Next time, I'll become an entrepreneur if I want to get money," Sky said.
Confessionals End
"The best thing we can do," Sky said as the static cut back to the stranded campers, "is make this place survivable until the rescue team gets here."
Duncan laid his head down on a rock. "Let's just chill until the rescue team arrives."
"This is not a time to be taking chances," Brick said. "The producers may think we're dead. We build a raft and try to sail back to camp."
"Good call. Let's get more lost!" Duncan deadpanned.
"We need to build a raft!" Brick suggested.
"We need to stay put!" Duncan denied.
Sky was getting annoyed. "We're not lost. This is just another one of Chris's crazy challenges. I'm not a fan!
Confessional: Chris
"Or are you?" Chris asked in a deep teasing voice.
Confessional Ends
"In the meantime," Sky continued, "I'm going for a walk. I want to be away from you two."
Confessional: Sky
"I don't get why Duncan would vote Beth off after the horror movie night episode," Sky said, upset. "I know we have to focus on the prize, but that doesn't mean you have to turn on people."
Confessional Ends
The static cut to Sky behind some bushes. "That's a nice spot to sleep in," she smirked. The camera panned out to show an impressive tree house with a porch and ladder to the beach.
Confessional: Jo
Jo was fuming inside. "I am not going to spend the rest of my life inside a toilet. So if I don't hit land soon-" a dull thud was heard and she stopped. "What was that?"
Confessional Ends
The shot cut to outside the confessional as Jo burst out and ran out on the beach. There were various potted palms all over.
"About time! I'm back at camp!" Jo cheered. The scene cut to another cluster of bushes as she separated them... only to scream in terror a moment later. The camera panned out to show a large dinosaur skull.
"Nice try, Chris, but a boned dinosaur won't keep me down," Jo quickly got back on track. "I'm going to make it back to you and secure immunity."
Confessional: Chris
"The T-Rex skull was my idea," Chris said with a laugh. "Did you see the look on her face? That was worth every intern."
Confessional Ends
The scene cut to Sky on the porch of the tree house. "You two can stop squabbling. I found us a place to rest," the athlete noted them. She opened the door and a skeleton held up by strings fell in the doorway. Sky screamed in terror and backed away, only to fall over the railing. She backed away from the tree house even more and hit the same skull that Jo ran into earlier and screamed again.
Brick and Duncan ran to the scene to see the dinosaur skull. "Do you still think we're downstream from camp?" Sky asked Duncan.
"Okay, I've been wrong before," Duncan admitted defeat.
The camera flashed to Lightning's trailer, which had landed on the beach during the storm.
Lightning woke up and got off his couch. "That was a good movie. I wonder if it stopped raining."
He opened the door to find out he was on the beach. "How did I get here?" Lightning then saw a coconut tree. "Sha-score! Coconuts!"
Confessional: Lightning
"A few episodes ago, I managed to raid Chef's kitchen for some protein," Lightning remenaized. "I ate it during my movie marathon, and now I'm hungry. I'm pretty sure the rain piled up and led me here."
Confessional: Chef/Chris
"Would someone tell me why there are palm trees and coconuts out here?!" Chef angrily asked in the confessional with the camera zoomed in on his face. "We're in Northern Ontario!"
"They were leftover props from the Bigassic Park movie shoot." Chris looked at him. "What," the host said defensively. "We're on a budget."
Confessionals End
"I have been alone and stranded for nine minutes," Lightning said to herself on the beach. "At least I have all these coconuts with me if I get hungry." He picked up a coconut, broke it in half, and drank from it. "I'm gonna go find help around this place, right after I go pee."
The shot went back to the three campers looking at the skeleton.
"Wait a minute," Sky said as she poked the skeleton. "This is just like Boney Island. Which means this is just another survival challenge!"
"Ma'am, we're stranded on an island, and we must build a raft and set sail for camp," Brick sternly claimed.
"If we're stranded," Duncan moaned, "then the producers will obviously rescue us!"
"Assuming they even know where to look," Brick countered, "The producers aren't exactly the most sympathetic or intelligent of people."
Confessional: Chris/Chef
"Im gonna let that little comment pass," Chris said completely unamused. Chef, in the outhouse with him, just grunted and nodded.
Confessional: Sky
"I'm not going to listen to Duncan and Brick go back and forth on what to do," Sky said. "If they're not going to cooperate, then it's best I do this alone."
Confessional: Duncan
"Okay, so maybe splitting up was a bad idea," Duncan admitted leaning against the wall of the outhouse, "I know I should make more of an effort to add them into my alliance with Lightning but they're both too moralistic."
Confessionals End
"Fine. Then let's make a new rule." Duncan said in a deep tone. "Every. Camper. For. Themselves."
"Fine," Brick agreed.
Sky went back inside her shelter, Brick went someplace else, and Duncan took a backpack and a bow and arrow with him.
(Commercial break)
The episode returned to Lightning in his trailer. "I've managed to gather every coconut on this island just in case I get hungry," he said to a coconut.
An arrow flew through the air and pierced the coconut. "Are those head hunters!" He yelled in concern.
The scene cut to Duncan with a bow in his hand. "Oh man. I don't have a clue where that thing went. Note to self: Next time make more than one arrow." The bushes soon rattled, causing Duncan to turn to his left.
The scene flashed to Duncan jumping towards the bushes with his knife in hand. "Die die die!" He stabbed three bananas in the process.
A few seconds later, Duncan has a pile of pineapples and bananas. "One fruit salad coming up," he said looking at a giant egg, "and, uber omelet on the side. Yeah, rockin'!"
He grabbed the egg and took off, and a large bird-like shadow and not at all bird-like screech followed him.
The scene flashed to Brick having finished a wooden raft as Duncan returned.
"I'm back with some food in case we get hungry," Duncan told Brick and Sky, "but the omelet is definitely mine."
Meanwhile, Jo was navigating through the woods. "How long does it take to get back to camp?" she grunted. "I'm starving, and no way am I eating in the woods."
A cry was heard, starting the take-no-prisoners machine.
The shot cut to Chef blowing into a conch shell. "Brunch is served," the cook said to Chris, gesturing to a table of sandwiches, a pineapple, and a bowl of something pink.
"Ah brunch," Chris admired the food. "Such a civilized meal don't ya think. You've already digested your brekkie but you're not quite ready for lunch." His face lit up when he noticed the 'hollandaise!" He swiped a finger through it, "You've outdone yourself Chef," before sticking the finger in his mouth. Chef blew the conch again.
The scene returned to the three campers. "Chris is just trying to scare us," Sky mentioned while eating an orange.
Brick's stomach growled and he said, "Whatever it is, I'm not going to stay here."
"Do you even know where you're going!" Sky pondered.
"I'm not sure, but I want to get back to camp." Brick pushed the raft.
"I'll trade you my egg in exchange for a ride." Duncan offered up.
Confessional: Brick
"Even though we bonded during the tri-arm bit, I wouldn't exactly call me and Duncan close friends," Brick confessed. "But I was starving!"
Confessional Ends
Brick's stomach grumbled. "Deal."
Sky caught up with them. "So you're really leaving now?"
"You can come with us if you want, but you'll probably refuse to do so," Brick said.
Sky was about to retort, but kept to herself. "You do have a point about that. I'll catch up later."
Confessional: Sky
"I'm mad at Brick and Duncan, but I can't stay away from them forever," Sky continued. "I'll rest a bit, then build a raft."
Confessional Ends
Jo was sitting by a tree. "I don't want to say it, but I miss having Cadet Meat, Green Day, Sha-Stupid, and Ms. Blue Sky around… to tease." She then heard tropical music. "What was that?"
The scene cut back to the host and cook. Chef in the background playing drums and Chris passing under a limbo bar back-and-forth. "Ah," the host said. "Fun in the great outdoors. Too bad the interns are missing it. We should send them a picture of this. Good times."
Jo caught up with the hosts. "So while we're lost, you decide to party without a care in the world about our safety?"
Chris stopped limbo dancing and saw Jo. "Jo! How did you get back here?"
"I walked for hours just to reach you," Jo grumbled. "I don't see any of the other four, so does this mean I win?"
"If it means you feel better, then yes," Chris confirmed. "You're safe from tonight's vote. You're free to do whatever you want until then."
Another flash took the scene back to Duncan and Brick on the raft.
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but you just rowed us in a big circle, 'cause there's the shore again," Duncan pointed to the shore.
The scene skipped ahead to Brick and Duncan standing on the beach. "Looks like this island isn't as deserted as I thought," Brick commented.
"Which will cost you one omelet," Duncan snatched the egg.
The two proceeded to tug on the egg until a large prehistoric goose creature hovered over them.
"You can have your egg back!" Brick gave the juvie the egg.
"No no please. I insist!" Duncan fearfully gave it back.
The bird flew down and caught Duncan since he was currently holding the egg.
Seeing the danger he was in, Brick grabbed a coil of rope, swung it around, and caught Duncan by the leg. He tried to pull him down, but got swooped in with the bird as well.
Meanwhile, Sky was just sitting down and minding her own business until she heard something from the bushes.
Lightning came out of there just in time to see Sky.
"Lightning?" Sky saw the jock.
"Sky?" Lightning responded as well.
"I thought you got lost," Sky said.
"I heard the sounds of screaming and it led me here," Lightning explained.
The shot cut to the two boys in the claws of the goose monster. They were still screaming, and screamed even louder when the goose dropped them.
Sky and Lightning returned to the focus as Brick and Duncan fell in front of them. "It's a pleasure to have you with us, Lightning," Brick greeted him.
"Glad to see that everyone is together, except for Jo, but she's probably fending for herself," Lightning said. A large pink snake fell on their shoulders and he added, "Take cover!" All four teens screamed and ran away.
The footage cut back to Chris and Chef, this time seated on either side of a coffee maker on a stump. "So Chef," Chris started, "how do you think our campers are doing on their deserted island?"
"Anything coulda happened to 'em by now," Chef answered with a smile. "Mauled by bears, fell off a cliff, starved to death..."
As Chef listed the possibilities, the camera zoomed in a Chris's thoughtful expression. "Hmm... maybe I should go check the monitor and see what kinda footage we got," he thought out loud.
"Chris man," Chef said. "You are one dedicated host," he picked up the host and cradled him in his arms. "You're an inspiration."
"Thanks dude," Chris said back. "It's what I do."
The footage cut back to the reunited campers, now inside the surprisingly well decorated treehouse. On the left side of the room, Sky sat on the top bunk of a bunk bed while Duncan leaned against the wall. On the other side, Brick sat on top of another bunk, while Lightning sat on the bottom.
"Lightning can see that you guys aren't exactly feeling good," Lightning observed the three glaring at each other. "What's up?"
"Sky's a bowl of vanilla, and Brick's an overbearing nag," Duncan snorted.
"Duncan believes that doing nothing about a deadly situation is better than fending for yourself, and Sky is still bothered about the last elimination," Brick huffed.
"Brick and Duncan think voting out a girl who didn't mean to do harm is better than voting off a dangerous threat," Sky snapped.
"I'm gonna stop you all there," Lightning halted before an argument could occur. "Sky, you also think that Jo is a snake?"
"Of course I do," Sky answered. "During the bike challenge, I saw her sabotage Dawn's bike just to make her lose."
"So that's why her bike got dysfunctional," Duncan said. "I thought she missed a part to add in."
"And Dawn got taken out of the game because of the incident," Brick frowned.
"I knew Jo was bottom tier, but to injure people? Even I wouldn't do that just to win," Lightning growled.
"I don't think she intended for Dawn to be sent into the pool, but she's still rude and unsportsmanlike," Sky stated.
"I'm sorry, Sky," Brick apologized. "If I had known earlier on, I would've joined you in voting off Jo."
"I wasn't any better either," Sky admitted. "I just automatically assumed you'd vote the same way as me just 'cause we were in an alliance."
"Next time, if you have something to tell me, let me know asap," Brick said.
"Agreed," Sky nodded.
Confessional: Lightning
"Sky, Duncan, and Brick are on board with getting Jo out of the game," Lightning smiled. "It's four against one."
Confessional Ends
The footage skipped ahead to the four campers surrounded by empty coconut shells, Duncan and Sky on the left with Brick and Lightning on the right.
"So that's what you went to juvie hall for?" Brick asked Duncan.
"Yeah, but at least it's not as bad as what Sky did," Duncan said with a look of satisfaction. "Seems she's not so boring after all."
"I'll admit it was underhanded, but it doesn't come close to what Lightning did, if that's even his real name," Sky spoke.
"My real name is Rudolph, and Brick's not so perfect after all," Lightning said.
"Hey look," Duncan said, pointing to something off screen. The camera shifted to show he had noticed a plume of smoke in the tree line before cutting back to the campers. "I see smoke."
"Maybe it's the rescue team?" Brick said first.
"Or a trick courtesy of Chris," Sky added.
"You're both wrong!" Lightning denied them. "That's gotta be the finish line! If one of us makes it first, then that means Jo won't win. And the first one to cross the finish line will be me!"
After seeing Lightning leave the treehouse, Sky, Duncan, and Brick looked at each other and decided to follow the jock.
The camera followed Lightning as he ran through the woods. He looked back over his shoulder and saw Sky, Brick, and Duncan catching up.
"Don't worry! I'll secure the win for us!" Lightning let them know.
He burst out from the bushes, surprising Chris and Chef. "Oh yeah," he cheered, "Lightning got here first! I win the challenge, I win the challenge!" Lightning sang, with the other three following as well.
"Hey guys," Chris said. "It's about time you showed up."
"Hey, I won the challenge, right?" Lightning asked excitedly. "We were supposed to get back here first."
The host shrugged. "Ehhhhh, not really," Chris explained. "Jo arrived before all of you did."
"Are you kidding me!" Lightning exclaimed.
Jo entered the scene and stood before the four players. "McLiar isn't joking this time. If you want to vote me off, you can forget it now that I gained protection from the vote."
"Man, this bites. Where are we, anyway?" Lightning asked.
"It's our production crew's secret location," Chris explained as the camera panned around the area, showing a truck, the tent, and the buffet table, as well as the helicopter parked in the background and a bear eating a sandwich. The campers gasped, and the host continued in annoyance. "Or was a secret until now."
"So what about the T. rex skull?" Brick asked in disbelief.
"And the prehistoric goose?" Sky added as well.
Chris chuckled. "Oh, those were just left over from a dinosaur movie set."
"So while you were relaxing, we've been stressing out about being lost?" Sky said as her temper flared a bit.
It began to rain again, to the five teens' dismay. "Yeah, pretty much!" Chris said happily as he and Chef retreated into their trailer. "Sorry, I'd invite you in, but there's only room for seven," he told them unapologetically. "See you at the campfire tonight!"
He slammed the trailer door shut, and the gaping campers looked from it to the thundering sky above.
Confessional: Lightning
"Of course Jo would take any opportunity to snag a win from me," Lightning huffed.
Confessional: Duncan
"It was pretty smart of Jo to immediately head back to camp," Duncan said. "Would you want to stick around with prehistoric animals?"
Confessionals End
The footage skipped ahead to the elimination ceremony. The rain had stopped and the camera focused on Chris behind his podium. "Weeelll," he said. "It's been a grueling day campers. Frankly, Chef and I are worn out. I hope you've learned two valuable lessons. First," he held up a finger. "Always make sure your cabins are securely fastened to the ground. And second," he held up another finger, "the 'every camper for themselves' rule sucks. Five heads are always better than one people."
He held up the plate of marshmallows, though strangely enough, there were four of them.
"You do realize that we haven't voted yet?" Duncan said dryly.
"Excellent observation, dude," Chris answered. "Sky, Duncan," he started passing out the treats. "Brick and Jo."
Lightning's eyes widened. "Sha-WHAT? Why am I out of the game if there wasn't a vote?"
"I can answer that," Chris grinned. "The surprising plot twist of tonight's elimination was… the winner got to pick who would be kicked out tonight!"
"And I chose you," Jo taunted Lightning. "So long, Lightspark."
"Tossing away the strongest player?" Lightning scolded her. "You're gonna regret this man!"
"You're an idiot. You can't even tell I'm a girl," Jo told him.
"You're WHAT?!" Lightning screamed in shock.
"Yes yes it's a shock," Chris apathetically said. "It's time to sha-go. For the second time."
"If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't have voted for you if it came down to it," Duncan comforted the eliminated contestant.
"At least someone can be loyal to their alliance," Lightning sent a wink to Duncan before leaving. "See y'all soon."
The final four waved goodbye to him, with the exception of Jo.
Afterwards, Sky focused on Jo. "If you were able to vote one of us off, why choose him instead of me?"
"He's been a pain since he decided to stop working with me, and he overstayed his second time on the island for too long," Jo said. "Rejoiners never win."
The four teens soon looked at each other. "Well troops," Brick said. "It appears we're the final four members. May the best man or woman win." The others silently agreed before walking off.
Boys: Brick, Duncan
Girls: Jo, Sky
Author's Note: Yeah, don't got much to say here. Like Jo said, Lightning outlasted his usefulness and since this is season one, I can't have a rejoiner win.
