Spectacular Webhead 11: Indeed she does.
LaCuevademisgustos: There needed to be some conflict in this fairly less dramatic episode.
GBond007: Yep.
Mouryom: Indeed you did. In retrospect it may have been obvious once I got rid of Beth and Cody.
Jss2141: Thank you.
acosta perez jose ramiro: She would not.
Chapter 26: A Sky Full of Bricks
Final Two: Brick and Sky
"Ah, morning in Muskoka." Chris's voice said over a view of the dock from behind. "The birds are chirping." We then see a couple of birds on a rock. "The loon calling," The aforementioned bird was shown calling. "The majestic sounds of beautiful Northern Ontario." A record scratch was heard and the host popped up on screen wearing a purple and green party hat. "Welcome," he said, "to the most dramatic thrilling episode yet!" He blew a noise maker.
We then see Chris leaning against the totem pole "It's been a long eight weeks at Camp Wawanakwa, and Total Drama Island is about to come to an end."
Another flash took the scene to Chris standing on top of the main lodge. "Today, two campers remain. By sundown, only one will be left standing."
Soon another flash occurred as we cut to the campfire "That camper will go home with a check for one hundred thousand dollars. Who will it be? The athletic girl Sky or the military boy Brick?" Chris asked.
"Go grab a snack. Have a pee if you have to, sit your but down, and get ready for... The dramatic final conclusion of... Total! Drama! Island!" Chris ended the recap.
(After theme song)
"Welcome back," Chris said as the episode opened up to him at the campfire pit. "We asked our finalists to record their thoughts in our confessional booth before going into the final round."
Confessional: Sky
"I can't say I had a blast here," Sky said in the confessional as clips of her breaking her bottles, falling on the floor during the boot camp challenge, and getting hit by balls in the dare challenge were shown, "but I did make it to the end."
Confessional: Brick
"What was it like being here for eight weeks?" Brick asked over clips of him running away from the killer, dropping his team's oranges, and landing on a buoy. "Stressful, but worth it."
Confessional: Chef
Chef took the next confessional. "You think it's easy cooking for 22 ungrateful teenagers? Man I've had better jobs in prison."
Confessional: Sky
"The food?" Sky asked. Clips of Chef's food were shown. "Not something I'd recommend for those who are dieting."
Confessional: Chef
"No one appreciates my food," Chef continued grumbling. "I'm slavin' all day at a hot stove."
Confessional: Brick
"Chef is a noteworthy sergeant," Brick admitted as a clip of Chris demonstrating food for the campers after running was shown, "but he should stick to cooking meals like the ones served during the Awake-a-thon."
Confessional: Chef
"Less rat droppings," Chef mocked. "Does this look like a five-star restaurant to you?!"
Confessional: Sky
"I can say that everybody here was amazing at best and tolerable at worst," Sky said. Clips of her high-fiving Amy, talking to Lindsay, and kissing Cody's cheek were shown.
Confessional: Brick
"The campers had a good quality inside them!" Brick stated. "They were headstrong," Jo drank a protein smoothie, "peaceful," Ella sang in the talent show, "positive," Owen arrived on the dock, "kind," Lindsay got hit by a dodgeball, "athletic," Lightning relaxed in his trailer, "talented," Mike found a hat on the floor, "sweet," Beth talked about the food, "focused," Harold was beatboxing inside his cabin, "strong," Eva looked for her mp3 player, "curious," Ezekiel finished jumping off the cliff, "warm-hearted," Rodney found food for his team, "assertive," Heather blew her whistle, "determined," Courtney pushed her crate, "quick-witted," Noah fell asleep during the Awake-a-thon, "competitive," Amy ran away as a deer, "joyful," Sadie took off the bad wig, "confident," Cody was canoeing to Boney Island, "spirited," Dawn smiled getting her key, "tough," Duncan went up against the killer, "and independent," Shawn jumped off the helicopter.
Confessional: Sky
"The one thing I'll be remembered for?" Sky asked the camera. Several clips of her standing up to Jo and participating well in challenges were shown and the camera cut back to her as she said, "My ability to be a team player."
Confessional: Brick
"What will I be remembered for?" Brick asked. Clips of him keeping peace between the campers and helping them out were shown and the camera cut back to him as he said, "My code of never leaving anyone behind."
Confessionals End
The camera cut to a shot of some trees, before panning out to show Chris in between the two finalists. Brick on the left, and Sky on the right. Behind them were a set of wooden bleachers, each with a flag of the corresponding finalist's faces.
"Now it's time to welcome the twenty campers who did not make it to the finals," Chris said and gestured to the right.
The eliminated campers were shown walking in, regardless of elimination order. From front to back, Ezekiel, Eva, Ella, Noah, Mike, Cody, Beth, Sadie, Rodney, Jo, Harold, Heather, Shawn, Lindsay, Owen, Courtney, Lightning, Duncan, Dawn, and Amy.
As they passed, Mike gave a smile to Sky, who waved back in response, and Cody high-fived Brick.
"Would everyone who's walked the Dock of Shame and left camp on the Boat of Losers kindly take a seat in the Peanut Gallery of Failure," Chris instructed. "The side you choose should represent," he continued as the camera showed Cody, Courtney, Ella, Eva, Ezekiel, Jo, Lightning, Owen, Sadie and Shawn sitting on Brick's side, "who you would like to cheer on to victory in today's final competition," he finished as the camera showed Amy, Beth, Dawn, Duncan, Harold, Heather, Lindsay, Mike, Noah, and Rodney sitting on Sky's side.
"I see you're carrying an ice pack with you," Sky told Jo.
Jo's face was still swollen and red. "I wouldn't need it if I didn't have hot water splashed on my face."
Confessional: Jo
"I should be the one competing in the final two, but I have to give credit to Sky and Brick for outlasting me," Jo said. "At least they're able to lead and take charge, unlike these sacks of potatoes."
Confessional Ends
"Do you think Jo will try to sabotage me just so I won't win?" Sky nudged Brick on his shoulder.
"I don't think so," Brick said. "She knows when she's beat, and she'll probably be more focused helping me."
"Brick, Sky," Chris said as the camera cut back to the finale. "This is your chance to tell the Peanut Gallery of Failure what you would do with the money if you won, and why you deserve it?"
Brick went first. "Most of humanity have been shown to be rebellious and disrespectful towards authority. Not including you in this, Duncan. If I win the money, I'll buy a school in order to take in unruly people and turn them into civilized and respectful men and women, and share the rest of my money to all of you."
"What a lovely and beneficial plan for the world," Ella clapped her hands.
"Definitely," Sadie agreed as well.
"Wow, that's really sweet," Chris commented. "Boring, but sweet. Sky?"
Sky thought for a moment and said, "I'll buy a track and field course so I can stay fit, but with some of the money left over, I'll throw a party to celebrate the season!" Everyone cheered at both of their plans.
"It's time for the final challenge," Chris announced. "The Rejected Olympic Relay Race!" The camera flashed to Chef, dressed in a tracksuit and carrying a flaming plunger, running through the woods. "Each of the three parts was pitched to the committee but sadly rejected as an Olympic sport." Chef raised the plunger and dunked it into a toilet on a platform.
The camera flashed back to Chris, holding a cow and chicken hat in each hand, and the Final Two. "First, each of you has to put on one of these," he tossed the cow to Sky and the chicken to Brick.
"I can see why this was rejected," Brick said.
Chris ignored him and continued, "Dressed as a cow and chicken, run to the first location," he pointed to the right and the camera quick panned to two flag poles with an orange and purple flag, "and shimmy up the flag pole to retrieve your flag." The camera cut back to the host. "If you don't have the flag, don't bother comin' down off that pole."
"That's gonna be tough for them," Rodney mused as the camera cut to him.
The shot cut to two planks suspended across two cliffs. "Next, you will cross a three hundred meter balance beam suspended above a massive gorge while carrying and eagle's egg."
"Well, that sounds simple," Brick commented nervously as the camera cut to him and Sky.
"You'd think," Chris's voice said as the shot cut back to the beams. "But below are your friends, the rare but real, man-eating freshwater sharks." The camera panned down to the bottom of the gorge to show two sharks, the left one licking its lips.
"You were saying?" Sky asked with a pointed look when the shot focused on them.
"The final leg of the race," Chris said, "is a long distance run, ending at the finish line here. First camper to arrive wins."
Sky and Brick put on their hats. "Good luck Sky," Brick said. "If I lose, I'm glad I'll lose to you."
Sky smiled back. "Same here, Brick."
"Go Sky!" Mike yelled when the camera cut to Sky's supporters. "I know you can win this!"
"I won't disappoint you, and the party will come," Sky replied. They all cheered in response.
"We're rooting for you Brick!" Cody cheered when the camera cut to Brick's supporters. "No offense to Sky!"
Ella looked at Eva. "What do you say?"
"I don't cheer," Eva said.
The camera cut back to the starting line. "One last thing. This is where the advantage will come into play," Chris halted.
"What advantage are you talking about?" Brick asked.
"I talked to the losers when there were five contestants left just to interview them, and they voted for who they wanted to win," Chris said.
"Who had the most votes at the time?" Sky curiously questioned.
"That would be you, Sky," Chris announced. "Six people from your cheering squad voted for you to win."
"Thanks guys," Sky told her six supporters, who were Amy, Heather, Lindsay, Mike, Noah, and Rodney.
"The reward for you is a two minute head start ahead of your opponent," Chris declared.
"Yes!" Sky cheered before she started running.
After two minutes have passed it was time for Brick to run. "On your marks," Chris said and Brick went into a running stance. "Get set," Brick donned a competitive smirk. "Go!" He took off on the first leg.
Brick was proceeding to run until his supporters caught up to him. "You got this, army dude!" Lightning cheered, "but that girl's a track master, SO RUN!" The cadet gasped and ran faster.
Confessional: Brick
"Even when he's not competing, Lightning sure likes to see others win," Brick stated in the outhouse.
Confessional Ends
The footage returned to Sky and Mike running to the flag poles. "You know you don't have to follow me right?" Sky asked her friend.
"I know, but I want to be close for support," Mike answered.
They arrived at the flagpole and Sky started climbing, but kept sliding back down continuously as she climbed.
"But what if you turn into Chester because of how slow I'm going?" Sky asked as she kept trying.
"My personalities are currently in an argument about who was robbed the most in Gordon Ramsey's cooking show," Mike explained, "so they won't be interfering today. And besides, Noah's also helping me contain my disorder."
"That's good to hear," Sky slid down once more with a frustrated growl.
"Are you okay, Sky?" Mike looked with concern.
"I'm just not used to climbing poles," Sky said. "I've climbed rope before, but they're not slippery."
The camera cut to Brick arriving at his flag pole and beginning to climb. Lightning, Cody, and Jo tried to push him up to get him to keep up. The shot focused on the top of the pole, with Brick climbing into view and grabbing the flag. "I got the flag! Now how do I come down?"
"Just slide down the sha-pole!" Lightning called up.
The cadet shrugged and slid down the pole. He managed to leave loud streaks as he did so, bothering Cody, Ezekiel, and Lightning on one side and Courtney and Jo on the other.
Brick finally landed with a look of pain. "That was almost as bad as a rope burn."
"That's great," Jo showed little sympathy, "but Big Mac is in the lead, so start running!"
The camera showed Mike, Sky, and Brick running across an open field.
The camera cut to Chris and a man dressed for a casual day at the beach at the second leg of the race. "Okay, new intern," the host said. "I know it's a little weird that you're starting on our last show, but all of our other interns died already. All you have to do is test this last challenge and see if it's moderately safe."
The intern looked down and the camera panned to show one of the sharks gesturing to the intern to come down. The intern gulped and started across the beam. Chris yelled out, "Don't look down dude!" and the boy fell off into the water. The host winced at the chomping sounds and said, "That looks safe enough.
The scene flashed to Sky and Mike. "Thanks for helping me with my flag," Sky said.
"I just had to lift you up so you can catch it with a flip. Most couples do it." Mike shrugged.
"Couples?" Sky widened her eyes.
Mike felt embarrassed. "Not that we're going out," he awkwardly laughed.
The camera panned ahead to the start of the second leg. The two walked on screen. "I'll meet you on the other side. You got this," Mike said encouragingly before running off.
Sky looked down into the gorge, the camera inverting to show her face. "Mom, if I die, give my sweatbands to Keith."
(Commercial break)
The episode returned to a shot of the sharks swimming in the gorge, then cut to the other side where Mike, Chef, and Chris were waiting. Sky was shown grabbing an eagle's egg and started walking across the beam while Chris narrated, "Okay, Sky has her eagle's egg and is starting the second challenge."
"What are the eggs for?" Mike asked when the shot cut back to them.
"Oh, you'll see," Chef said deviously and chuckled.
The shot cut back to the start of the challenge, where Brick and his supporters had just made it. "So," Cody started, "we can't help you anymore from here. Just know that we want you to win the money."
"Probably because I'll share my leftover cash with you," Brick said.
"That's not even on my mind," Cody truthfully said. "You're my friend, and I want to give my full support by not switching sides, even if the party will be amazing."
Brick grabbed an egg and started to walk through the beam. "Anybody would be lucky to have you as a friend."
Meanwhile, Sky was struggling to keep her balance and she almost fell, much to everyone's shock.
"That's it. Just maintain your balance," Beth called out, and Sky managed to get back and stay on her feet.
A screech grabbed everyone's attention and the finalists became spooked. "What was that?" Brick yelped.
His answer came by two eagles glaring at them and starting to dive.
"Angry eagle parents?" Chris asked as the camera cut to him, Ella, and Sadie.
"That is messed up!" Sadie scolded the host.
"Brick and Sky's lives are in grave danger," Ella panicked. "Why bring more trouble their way?"
"Awesome TV?" The host just shrugged.
Confessional: Sadie
"What is it about near death experiences that Chris loves?" Sadie looked curious.
Confessional Ends
"The girls have a point," Rodney came into view. "We don't want to watch anyone risk their lives just for laughs."
"Thankfully, someone agrees with us!" Sadie told her best friend.
"Hello, Rodney," Ella greeted the country boy. "What brings you here?"
"I'm here to give your rabbit back to you," Rodney took out Luna. "She's too clingy towards me."
"Luna's been less impulsive and wanders off less ever since she made friends with Ron," Ella said.
"Who's Ron?" Sadie asked.
"He's a hawk friend of Luna that'll occasionally swoop in and take her," Ella explained as Ron entered the scene.
"Now you have two pets of your own," Sadie complimented the princess.
"Animals must really love you, Ella," Rodney said.
"If we want to avoid the eagles!" Brick yelled as the eagles made another dive at them, "we have to move quick!"
"Definitely," Sky concluded as they quickly walked down the beam.
The camera cut to the empty nest, where each finalist deposited their egg and took off toward the finish line.
Sky was later shown to be running while Mike got to her. "I'm so glad you didn't die back there. I wouldn't want to lose someone close to me."
"I am sorry about your old parents," Sky said with comfort.
"To be honest, I'm not heartless enough to enjoy their death, but at least I found parents who care for their own son's wants and needs." Mike confessed.
"Absolutely," Sky said. "The key to a happy family is love."
"I can't get rid of my disorder, but I can focus on being a stand-up comedian after the show's over," Mike said back.
"I'll be in the front row, center seat when that happens," Sky promised.
Confessional: Sky
"I heard what Mike said about love earlier, but I'm not ready for a relationship just yet," Sky said. "And besides, we're just friends."
Confessional Ends
Meanwhile, Brick was talking to Cody and Lightning. "You know you don't need to follow me to the finish line, right?"
"I'm just here to motivate you," Lightning said in defense.
"And how will you do that?" Brick raised his unibrow.
Lightning stood tall. "Do you have a dad in the military?"
"Affirmative," Brick said. "Frederick Cor is his name."
"Is he still alive?" Cody wondered.
Brick donned a face of depression. "Sadly, no. My dad died sacrificing himself in order to protect his troop from being blown up by a grenade."
Lightning and Cody felt bad. "I am sorry for your loss," the latter spoke.
"My dad died a hero, and I became an army kid in order to avenge his death some day," Brick emotionally explained.
"I feel the same way," Lightning said. "My pops is a well-known football player. He even won four championship rings."
"Four rings?" Cody gasped.
"Do not interrupt the Lightning," Lightning shushed the geek. "My dad is too busy to pay attention to me, so I decided to play sports just to have him be proud of me."
"When you get the chance, have a talk with your dad about how to spend time together," Brick advised him.
"I will, but do you want to win the money, prove yourself as a man, and open your own school?" Lightning started to motivate Brick.
"I do!" Brick obeyed.
"You gotta be a hare, not a tortoise. Now run to the finish line and make your pops proud! Do you hear me!" Lightning pep talked harder.
"SIR YES SIR!" Brick shouted and started to move faster.
Cody and Lightning saw the boy's determination with awe. "I should come to you if I'm ever feeling down next time," Cody whispered.
The shot cut to the finish line, panning around to show all the former campers.
Beth, who had binoculars, answered, "Sky and Brick are now tied!"
"What!?" Lindsay grabbed the binoculars from Beth. "That means our party is in jeopardy."
"I didn't say Sky is behind Brick," Beth calmed Lindsay. "And even if Brick wins, at least we'll have some cash split among us."
"I guess you're right, Bessie," Lindsay sat down.
"There they are," Chris's voice narrated as several different angles of the campers' race were shown before cutting briefly to him and then back to the race. "Two real competitors, and if I may say, truly personifying the spirit of the Reject Olympics.
Sky and Brick's supporters were all shown cheering.
Confessional: Jo
"Like I said, I'm not going to sabotage Sky," Jo repeated herself. "I have another plan in case Brick falls behind."
Confessional Ends
Jo tapped Shawn's shoulder. "Zombie Brain, I'm gonna need something from you.
Shawn was perplexed, but he listened anyway.
The finalists were returned to focus by a camera flash, though they were running slower than before.
"This is the longest I have ever run," Brick said.
"Not even track practice is this brutal," Sky panted.
"You know, I'd love to attend your party if you win," Brick told Sky.
"I need the money, but I would also be comfortable with you having it as well," Sky told Brick.
While they were speaking, the camera panned right to show Jo pop her head out of the bushes. She took out a water balloon, cut a hole in it, and aimed her shot right at Brick's shorts.
Sky was the first to notice. "Hey Brick, is it me, or did you pee your shorts?"
"I'm not going to be deceived that easily," Brick laughed good-heartedly.
"I'm not kidding. Look down," Sky warned him.
Brick looked down to see that Sky was right. He soon started to panic. "I need something to dry this off!" Without thinking, he started to dash ahead.
Sky saw how far he went and quickly grew a determined look. "It all comes down to what you got left in the tank."
Sky started to use all her energy in order to catch up with Brick. They gave each other a competitive smirk and started running as fast as they can.
It was a close one. Sky got ahead of Brick, only for Brick to get back ahead. The cycle kept repeating until one of them crossed the finish line. And that person turned out to be…
…
…
…
…
Sky.
Sky's supporters all cheered and crowded the girl as they offered their congratulations. Brick was shown watching the scene with a sad look.
The shot returned to Sky. She let out victory cheers while hugging Mike and Dawn. "I won! I won!"
Cody and Sadie were shown walking to Brick. "You okay?" Cody asked his friend.
"Yeah," Brick answered. "I tried my best, and I managed to get 2nd out of 22."
"Silver is good," Sadie said. "People need to stop thinking that they fail if they don't receive gold."
"On the plus side, we have a party, so I can celebrate my achievement there," Brick remembered. "We should go and congratulate Sky now."
Sky was bouncing up and down, "Yes! Yes! Yes! I got the prize money and my dream gym!"
"And in addition, a big party," Mike added.
"This is the best day ever!" Sky kissed Mike in her excitement, until she got her lips off his nervously. "Sorry. Just got carried away."
Mike felt the same way, but got over it. "It's okay. Let's just get back with the others."
Mike and Sky smiled at each other before reuniting with the contestants.
The shot resumed to a night time shot of the whole island before zooming in on, and switching to, the campfire. The camera panned across the pit, showing all the former campers before switching to Chris.
"Here we are," the host said. "At the last bonfire ceremony ev-er. After eight brutal weeks, it is my pleasure to announce, the winner of Total Drama Island, Sky!" The Athlete ran up to the host with a huge smile, and the campers were all shown cheering for her. Even Jo was clapping for her.
"I still can't believe I won!" Sky cheered.
"Don't worry," Brick said with a smile, "you deserve it!"
"Great job in making the final two though," Mike comforted him.
Sky smiled even wider. "I'm glad you're taking your loss with grace. That makes you a winner as well. You're all winners in my book," Sky congratulated her fellow campers. "Once I pay for my trainers and track course, the party is so on!" This was met by even more cheers.
"Sky," Chris said while holding a marshmallow. "At this time, I give you the ultimate symbol of survival," he handed the treat to her and said, "the final marshmallow."
Sky popped it in her mouth and said, "I can buy more of these marshmallows and still have some cash left over!"
"With that out of the way, I have something to top this season off!" Lightning smirked deviously.
The final shot featured Brick, Duncan, and Lightning carrying Chris down the Dock of Shame as the campers came down to watch it live.
"No no, guys," Chris complained "My hair. Dudes!"
"One," they said, "two, three!" The boys threw The Host with the Most off the dock and he fell into the lake. The campers and Chef laughed as he surfaced and spat some water out of his mouth.
"I've been wantin' to do that all summer!" Chef taunted. "How do you like that pretty boy?!" He said as the camera panned out to show the boys looking at him with smirks.
"Oh Che~ef," Lightning sang.
"You're the next one," Brick smirked.
The camera cut to Jo and Sky watching as the cook was chased around the island.
"So the season is over," Sky said to Jo.
"I'm a little cross at you for winning, but at least I can watch these two bozos get tossed around," Jo smiled. "Congrats, Sky."
"I can deal with that," Sky agreed on it.
The final shot of the season was a long distance shot of the island as Brick, Duncan, and Lightning chased Chef around the campground.
Author's Note: The winner is Sky. Honestly, any of our two finalists could've won this season but ultimately Sky was more underrated and we felt like she went through more struggles than Brick did. Make no mistake, Brick was a good finalist but he couldn't win. Don't turn away yet though, because we're gonna do the Island special.
