CHAPTER 3
When GingerBrave and his friends left to continue their adventure, they were blocked by Cake Hounds and Cake Wolves, both chocolate and vanilla. Wizard Cookie wanted to know who set them afoot to stop the group from continuing on their adventure. There was some speculation from Strawberry Cookie that it could have been Red Velvet Cookie and Pomegranate Cookie.
"But there are no Pomegranate Cake Hounds here, Strawberry Cookie." GingerBrave said.
"So… are we easily eliminating Pomegranate Cookie from this incident?" Strawberry Cookie asked.
"Just forget it all!" Almond Cookie said. "We must fight these Cake Hounds!" he later exclaimed.
"Yes!" Cream Puff Cookie said. "We must try our best!"
"Here we come, Cake Hounds! GingerBrave and friends comin' through!" GingerBrave said out loud. The Cake Hounds were later knocked out. However, more Cake Hounds were coming along with angry and dire Cake Wolves.
"This is terrible!" Latte Cookie said.
"How are we ever going to reach my home now!" Carol Cookie asked in exclamation.
"Don't worry, Carol Cookie!" Ginger Claus said. "GingerBrave and his friends will surely help us get the Tree of Ancient Carols back. Where we will end up is really beyond me."
"No time for chit-chat, Cookies!" GingerBrave exclaimed. "We must go and continue our adventure! Let's go!" Everyone then continued on the adventure to get back the Tree of Ancient Carols for Carol Cookie and Ginger Claus. Little did they know that they would be headed straight for the Kingdom of Dark Cacao.
Meanwhile at the Dark Cacao Kingdom, Dark Cacao Cookie, the leader of the kingdom, heard about the Tree of Ancient Carols thanks to Caramel Arrow Cookie, his servant, telling him everything, from the tree's history to the exile of Ginger Claus and Carol Cookie. Dark cacao Cookie was certainly not pleased with this explanation from his servant.
"Sir, we must attempt to save the Tree of Ancient Carols! For the sake of the Kingdom of Dark Cacao!"
"Only heroes would save the Tree of Ancient Carols, Caramel Arrow Cookie." Dark Cacao Cookie said. "But not every cookie can be a hero for Earthbread."
While Dark Cacao Cookie and Caramel Arrow Cookie were talking amongst themselves about the Tree of Ancient Carols, Affogato Cookie later came into the room.
"Admit this, Cookies of Dark Cacao." said Affogato Cookie. "Outsiders are coming to this kingdom."
"Send them here quickly, Affogato Cookie." Dark Cacao Cookie ordered.
"Yes, sir." said Affogato Cookie. Affogato Cookie then went outside to see who was outside. It was GingerBrave and his friends.
"Seriously?" asked Affogato Cookie. "You, GingerBrave?"
"Listen, and hear us well, Affogato Cookie!" yelled GingerBrave. "We would like to have a word with Dark Cacao Cookie."
"Then come in, then. I bet he won't turn you away…" Affogato Cookie said. GingerBrave and friends then followed Affogato Cookie inside. GingerBrave wondered if he and his group were going to be turned away by Dark Cacao Cookie. But when everyone entered the room where Dark Cacao Cookie was, they were halted, and later asked about the Tree of Ancient Carols.
"We know about it!" Carol Cookie said. "Funny enough, I am its… true Cookie!"
"True Cookie?" Dark Cacao Cookie asked.
"Yes! I was exiled by Dark Enchantress Cookie, I was the one exiled with Ginger Claus! We represent the meaning of Christmas here on Earthbread!" Carol Cookie exclaimed while mentioning Ginger Claus.
"Yes, Dark Cacao Cookie!" Ginger Claus said. "It's true indeed!"
"Then we shall be on your side if this threat is serious to you, Carol Cookie." said Dark Cacao Cookie. "Affogato Cookie, Caramel Arrow Cookie, what do you think?" he later asked.
"Yes, but these cookies shall owe us payment in coins if we join them." Affogato Cookie said. "It's… only professional courtesy."
"For the sake of the Dark Cacao Kingdom!" Caramel Arrow Cookie said.
"Then we shall join the army of GingerBrave." Dark Cacao Cookie said. "Let's go!" All three cookies of the Dark Cacao Kingdom joined the forces of GingerBrave and left the kingdom. However, they were soon blocked by Licorice Cake Hounds.
"Darn those cookies!" Chili Pepper Cookie said.
"What has gotten into Earthbread these days?" asked GingerBrave.
"Get a load of this, Licorice Cake Hounds!" said Wizard Cookie as he cast a magic spell. The cake hounds were later taken out. But everyone was asking themselves a question: who would do such a thing like that? The Cookies were suspecting that Licorice Cookie had something to do with it.
"Possible." Dark Cacao Cookie said. "But I can see Licorice Cookie doing such a thing."
"He's probably with Dark Enchantress Cookie." Custard Cookie III said.
"Then there is no time to waste!" said Chili Pepper Cookie.
"Let's continue!" Carol Cookie said.
Meanwhile, with Dark Enchantress Cookie and her cookies, she thanked Licorice Cookie for letting out the Licorice Cake Hounds. But she wasn't done with Licorice Cookie quite yet. She wanted Licorice Cookie to hunt down GingerBrave and friends.
"Haha! Count on me, Dark Enchantress Cookie!" Licorice Cookie said. Dark Enchantress Cookie then went to get her newest cookie she had recently hired, who was Berserk Cookie, who was a cookie who will do anything that is considered destructive to Earthbread. His job was to destroy GingerBrave and his friends by crushing them into pieces. However, not only was he after GingerBrave, but he was after the Tree of Ancient Carols too. It was still unknown what his intentions to harm the ancient tree were.
