Chapter 2
The Fight Starts Now
As the adventurers pull up to the farm they all set up an ambush with spiked logs then making long skewers with the logs, then the adventurers go into the field beside the cabin, and place them onto the long grass to hide them. Then a few more go to the back of the cabin into the field. Then a few more go on top of the cabin as well.
A few minutes later one of the adventurers spots something in the distance, then they say,
"We have some goblins incoming! There are two big ones with them as well!"
Then the goblins come out and before the ranged adventures could attack the goblin put up a human shield of young women to stop their attacks. Then a few magic casters started to cast magic to make the goblins drop their guards, and it worked. The goblins drop the shields then the adventurers that were in the long grass came out. They went for the human shields to grab them and pull them back. Once they gave the all clear the rest of the adventurers went for the offensive. It was a slaughter house for the goblins. They were killed fairly easily by the expert adventurers, then the goblins started to retreat back into the forest leading some of the adventurers with them. Then a fair bit later there was a scream. It sounded like a male, then something started flying towards the cabin. Whatever hit the ground, it hit hard on the ground. Then some of the mercs and adventurers looked at it and it was a mangled body without a head, then a yell could be heard. They looked back and it was more goblins, two goblin champions, and several hob-goblins. Then all of a sudden a loud noise starts, and sounds like some sort of revving then,

Then what seemed like it went on for a whole fifteen seconds, both of the goblin champions drop down on the ground same with the hobgoblins, while other normal goblins get disintegrated by the hail of bullets. All the adventurers were deafened by the sound of the gunfire from the M41H. They all at the mercs, just to see that they just eliminated all of those goblins with such little effort from a weapon that just made a loud sound. And so one of them asked them what the weapon was
"What type of weapon is that? Does it use magic of sorts?" a young warrior asked
"Nope," said Lex, then the young warrior looked at Lex "It's called a gun, have you heard of it?"
"I think I have, but I'm not sure," the young warrior said
"Well, anyways as long you don't touch it without supervision by us then it's good,"
Then the rest of the mercs go over to the dead corpses of the goblins to collect their rewards or ears in this case and confirm their kills. As they are collecting the ears one of the recruits speaks up,
"Hey, Is this really training?" they asked
"No its not, but after this we'll do an actual slaying quest just give it time," the squad leader said
The Mercs go back to the cabin to see the man in armor already there wounded with a small priestess holding him up. And to the experienced mercs the priestess looked familiar but wasn't sure where. Then all of a sudden all the adventurers all headed back into the city ready to collect their gold coins. Then one of the experienced mercs said he'll stay back at the farm to keep guard on the cabin. while the rest collected their reward and get them a new quest for. As the rest of the mercs head into the city the one hanging back goes into the forest and looks for the goblin lord. As the merc looks for the lord he spots it. As he gets closer to it he grabs a thermite grenade from his grenade pouch then he unpins it then he tosses it towards the dead goblin lord's body. The merc couldn't smell the burning body with his helmet on, also that the body was burning he waited for it to settle down. As the fire settled, the merc goes up to the body then picks up the used thermite to leave not much evidence. The merc goes back to the cabin and sees several mysterious figures around the cabin so the merc changes their optics to zoom in on them. There were some remaining goblins ready to invade the cabin so the merc grabs his rifle and starts jogging towards the cabin. As they got closer they heard a scream and it was a female so it made them go into a full sprint.
As they reached the cabin, the door was adjacent and screams could be heard from inside. So the merc started to slowly enter the cabin. As they opened the door wider, a club came down in front of them, a normal sized goblin came out of the shadow ready to kill the mercenary. Of course the merc shot at the goblin center mass with their suppressed rifle killing it.
THOOM*
The goblin drops down onto the ground. The gunshot alerted the other goblins in the other room so the rest went out to see what just happened. As they went through the hallway the goblins started dropping like flies.

So in a panic the last remaining goblin goes back into the room where the girl was. The merc goes through the house looking around and sees the man heavily injured. Looked like he was still alive, from the mercs point of view the goblins were playing with him. Luckily for him the merc came back in time. So the merc grabs one of their morphine shots and sticks it into the man's leg. The old man woke up then silently asked what was going on, so the merc responded back with that they got the situation under control and that he should rest, then the man fell asleep. The merc goes into one of the rooms that the last goblin went into the sees the goblin about to rape the girl. Then the girl and the merc looked at each other for a split second the merc puts their gun onto their side, sprints towards the goblin then punches the goblin into the back of its head sending it flying across the room. The merc picks up the girl then brings her outside into the living room of the cabin with the man, places her down then goes back into the room with the goblin. The goblin is dazed, not sure about his surroundings only to hear loud footsteps coming to him so he grabs a nearby dagger that he finds, then he hides himself in the shadow waiting for whatever comes through the door. The goblin sees a figure go through the door so the goblin immediately strikes with a scream.
BOOM*
A bullet goes straight through the goblin's skull. It was the merc's handgun. The merc looked at the dead goblin then proceeded to drag all of the dead bodies out of the cabin into a small pile outside, then they grabbed a wheelbarrow. The merc put all of the dead bodies into it till it was full and went out back far enough from the farm. Then dumped them there. They setted up a fire then put the dead bodies one by one onto the fire. After all of that they could see the jeeps incoming from the main road coming back from the city.
As the rest of the mercs are coming back to the cabin, they could see in the distance the remaining merc go into the cabin with the cabin lights off, they weren't sure what just happened but something was off. As they parked their jeeps, they walked towards the door of the cabin then they entered the cabin to see a red haired girl in a blanket sitting near the table, the old man in bandages also sitting next to the table, and their ally preparing some food for them. In shock the squad leader shouted waking both the girl and man,
"What the fuck just happened here while we were gone 4-2?!" The squad leader looks at the 4-2. Then they stopped what they were doing,
"An attack, sir," they responded it was a girl's voice young at that
"Wait you're a girl?" one of the recruits asked, then the rest looked at them with confusion as to see that they haven't realized it already.
"Yes, I'm a girl?" 4-2 replied back
"Anyways lets stay on topic, what was the attack 4-2 care to explain?" said the squad leader
4-2 proceeded to tell what happened when they were gone but left out the goblin lord, and replaced it. She said that she found something that was of interest but it was nothing, then came back to the cabin. So after all of that a sound came through the door. The sound of heavy footsteps and the ones without a helmet with face covers could smell a foul smell, and then they looked at the opened door. There stood the same man from before with grimy armor, a sword with odd length at his hip, a small shield, and an odd looking helmet. He looked around, saw the man and girl sitting near the table back asleep, so the man asked what had happened,
"Goblins," 4-2 answered
"I was careless," the man in armor muttered to himself
"Don't worry too much, she wasn't hurt too badly" 4-2 reponsed back "also I've already disposed of the bodies,"
"I see, thank you," the man in armor said back
"We'll stay here just in case anymore will come, so just rest for now alright?" said the squad leader
"I see," then the man goes back outside then enters into the nearby shed.
The mercs finally talked about the quest that they were going to do. It was going to be a fast quest so after they finish here they'll do the quest or that they will have to split up for a while. One group will go and do the quest, while another group will stay behind and watch the cabin. So they picked the latter half, one group that consists of the four recruits and Lex going to do the quest, while the other is just the rest of the team staying back. So in the early morning, one of the team wakes up to get ready to go out while the others stay at the cabin. The team that is ready to go they all get into the jeep with extra space, then they head off to the place with goblins.
