CHAPTER 6

When the Red Velvet Dragon appeared before the cookies, it roared at a scorching volume. With that scorching roar, creatures called Red Velvet Wraiths appeared before the cookies to aid the Red Velvet Dragon. Red Velvet Cookie, the leader of the Cakes, appeared before GingerBrave and friends.

"Alright, GingerBrave." Red Velvet Cookie said. "Give up Carol Cookie and Ginger Claus, or else face the wrath of the Cake Army and the mighty Red Velvet Dragon of Earthbread!"

"Never will I give up Ginger Claus or Carol Cookie!" GingerBrave said. Then, a voice told everyone to wait.

"What was that?" Chili Pepper Cookie asked. When Cream Puff Cookie turned around, she noticed the mighty Tea Knight Cookie of the Tea Leaf Knights. She was amazed by his appearance on the battlefield.

"Tea Knight Cookie?!" Latte Cookie asked. "What are you doing here?"

"The Red Velvet Dragon will be defeated by the oath of Tea Knight Cookie of the legendary Tea Leaf Knights!" Tea Knight Cookie said. "But you, cookies, are still responsible for defeating this beast of Earthbread."

"How?" GingerBrave asked. "Are we going to devise a strategy?"

"Yes." Tea Knight Cookie said. "Custard Cookie III, you will stand in the rear with Carol Cookie and Ginger Claus." he ordered to Custard Cookie III and Carol Cookie.

"Yes, Tea Knight Cookie!" Carol Cookie exclaimed.

"Oh, boy! A direct order for a king like me!" Custard Cookie III exclaimed to himself.

"All Charge Cookies, up front! Now! By my orders!" Tea Knight Cookie said as he gave the second order. "Purple Yam Cookie, that includes you too." he said. However, Purple Yam Cookie charged forth.

" PURPLE TORNADO !" Purple Yam Cookie yelled as he charged at Schwarzwälder and Licorice Cookie.

"Purple Yam Cookie, watch out!" shouted Latte Cookie.

"Don't you DARE worry about me!" shouted Purple Yam Cookie at Latte Cookie. Latte Cookie gasped as she was shouted at.

"Heroes of the Kingdom of Dark Cacao, you will join forces with the heroes of the Hollyberry Kingdom!" Tea Knight Cookie said.

"Yes, as long as my payment is received by GingerBrave and friends…" Affogato Cookie said. But, while Dark Cacao Cookie was not looking, Dark Enchantress Cookie cast a berserk spell that was about to hit Purple Yam Cookie. While Dark Cacao Cookie was trying his best to protect Purple Yam Cookie, he was actually hit in the process.

"Oh, no!" Caramel Arrow Cookie yelled in distress. "Dark Cacao Cookie? Dark Cacao Cookie! Speak to me!"

"Oh, no worries, Caramel Arrow Cookie." Dark Enchantress Cookie said. "He's not dead. At least, not yet. But to break his Curse of Berserk… you must kill him."

" WHAT ?!" asked Caramel Arrow Cookie.

"We have to kill a cookie who was responsible for helping us on this whole entire adventure?!" Carol Cookie asked. She charged for Dark Enchantress Cookie, and decided to confront her.

"You monster to Earthbread! How could you place a curse on Dark Cacao Cookie! He was our hope for a hero of the Dark Cacao Kingdom, while Hollyberry Cookie was our only hope for a hero of the Hollyberry Kingdom!"

"Yes!" Latte Cookie said.

"How could this possibly happen?!" Espresso Cookie asked.

"Now things have gone way too far." Almond Cookie said. "Latte Cookie, go and follow Tea Knight Cookie's next order of direction."

"Yes, sir!" Latte Cookie responded. "I will do my best to restore peace to this place with everyone involved!"

"Now that Dark Cacao Cookie is a puppet controlled by me, I shall use his power to control this beloved place representing the Christmas of Earthbread!" Dark Enchantress Cookie said.

"Are you saying that Dark Cacao Cookie is a puppet to us now, Dark Enchantress Cookie?" Pomegranate Cookie asked as she returned.

"Pomegranate Cookie! I thought you were crumbled into pieces by the Cream Wolves of Crunchy Chip Cookie!" Dark Enchantress Cookie thought.

"My master, I have brought someone that can help you." Pomegranate Cookie said. She later presented the Cake Witch to Dark Enchantress Cookie.

"No… not the Cake Witch!" Red Velvet Cookie said.

"Thank you, Pomegranate Cookie." Dark Enchantress Cookie said. "Now I can rule this world and the Tree of Ancient Carols as well, thanks to the mighty Cake Witch of Earthbread's Cake Army!" GingerBrave and his friends were shocked by Dark Enchantress Cookie's mighty powers. This even caused Dark Cacao Cookie to go berserk even more, and even go after Red Velvet Cookie and his Cake Army.

"No! We control you now, Dark Cacao Cookie!" Red Velvet Cookie shouted in distress He was later defeated in the process thanks to the berserk movements of Dark Cacao Cookie. When Dark Enchantress Cookie was about to execute GingerBrave and Wizard Cookie, Carol Cookie then pulled out her Caroling Lyre, and began to sing the ancient song that represents the Tree of Ancient Carols. Unfortunately for Dark Enchantress Cookie, she could not take Carol Cookie's singing, and decided to retreat. With her retreatment, as well as the retreatment of Pomegranate Cookie, Poison Mushroom Cookie, Red Velvet Cookie, Licorice Cookie, and Schwarzwälder, Dark Cacao Cookie returned to his normal self, only to collapse in the process of returning to normal.

"No!" Caramel Arrow Cookie yelled. She later went over to Dark Cacao Cookie with Affogato Cookie so that they can check up on their leader.

"Is he… not responsive?" Affogato Cookie asked.

"Was this all the fault of Dark Enchantress Cookie herself?" Chili Pepper Cookie asked.

"Hm…" GingerBrave said as he was thinking about something. Ginger Claus later pulled GingerBrave aside and asked him what his thoughts were on Dark Cacao Cookie's berserk mode.

"My thoughts are that it was unintentional for him to attack us, Ginger Claus." GingerBrave said. "However, we should still accept the fact that Dark Enchantress Cookie and her minions of Earthbread were the ones responsible for all of this mess to begin with."

"Yes, you are right." Ginger Claus said. Then, Dark Cacao Cookie was heard grunting as he struggled to get up. It was unknown if he was going to be alright.

"Are you alright, Dark Cacao Cookie?" Caramel Arrow Cookie asked.

"What happened?" Dark Cacao Cookie asked as he lost all his past. "Who made me go berserk?"

"Dark Enchantress Cookie did this to you. However, it wasn't your fault." Caramel Arrow Cookie said.

"He did a good job protecting Purple Yam Cookie from that magic spell." Affogato Cookie said. "However, I now regret GingerBrave and friends paying me up. I think Dark Enchantress Cookie shall pay me up instead for this crime she committed."

"I'll find her." Almond Cookie responded. "Cream Puff Cookie, Latte Cookie, can you come with me?"

"Yes!" Cream Puff Cookie exclaimed in excitement.

"I'll come to capture Dark Enchantress Cookie." Latte Cookie said.

"Great." Almond Cookie responded. All three of them later left to capture Dark Enchantress Cookie and her minions of Earthbread.

The adventure ended with success. Carol Cookie later got back the Tree of Ancient Carols with Ginger Claus, and the tree was later restored to great measures. GingerBrave was later hailed as a great hero of Earthbread not only for rescuing the Tree of Ancient Carols, but for returning Carol Cookie to the place where she belonged.

And that was the story on how the Tree of Ancient Carols was taken by Dark Enchantress Cookie and how it was retrieved back by GingerBrave.

So, this was just a simple Cookie Run story with a basic outline: someone is exiled by the villain and they must band together with heroes to take their home back. Despite the story having an easy plot, it was way more complicated than I expected it to be. I had to plan out which cookies were going to be in the story, which ones were going to have an interaction with each other, and I also had to know where to put these characters. But this was a fun story to write, and I am looking forward to writing more Cookie Run stories in the future!
