It was a stormy evening in Dragon City. Hiccup Haddock currently sat at his desk. The teenager was knee-deep studying for his upcoming physics examination. Despite being the most intelligent youth in school, he still struggled. This quiz would count for a massive percentage of his final grade. So the sophomore didn't want to fail.

His family knew better then to pester him when he was studying. However, tonight was the exception. His parents' monthly date night was tonight. So it fell upon Hiccup to babysit his younger siblings. Not that he had a problem with that. As Boden and Una were his whole world.

If someone had asked Hiccup how he characterized himself, his answer would be he was a brother first. Everything else came second. The Haddocks siblings were exceptionally bonded. They rarely quarreled and would die if they didn't have each other. Hiccup had just completed the practice test when his captivating mother, Valka, knocked on his door. "Hiccup?" she called softly.

His head snapped up, "Hi, Mom. Is it time for your date already?" he inquired as he cleaned up his desk.

"Yes, we must be at the restaurant in the next forty-five minutes if we want to make our reservations. I apologize again. That our date night is impeding your ability to study. Your father and I didn't anticipate it to fall on the weekend before your big examination. So again, I'm sorry," his mother apologized.

"Mom, it's alright! You and Dad deserve a night out to yourselves! Also, I don't mind watching Boden and Una. I still have tomorrow to study for the test. So a few hours away from studying isn't going to make a difference," her eldest assured her.

"Okay, if you're sure," his mother replied uncertainly.

"Mom, I'm positive I'll pass the test," he replied confidently. Then grinning, "Please enjoy yourself. There is nothing to agonize about," he assured her again.

Shortly afterward, Hiccup's parents were out the door. He then walked back into the spacious living room where his ten-year-old brother and five-year-old sister were waiting. "So, Hiccup, what are we doing tonight for fun?" his little brother Boden desired to know.

"Yes, BBBFF! What fun activity do you have prepared for us tonight? Are you going to read us more of the fifth book in the "Pegasus" book series?" his little sister inquired while squirming with excitement.

"I'm afraid I won't be reading to either of you tonight. I'm going to put "Encanto" on for you two. So while you watch that, I can study for my test," he answered. His siblings' smiles turned to slight frowns. Yet not for long as they understood schoolwork remained incredibly essential.

Both of them always studied hard whenever they had a test. Then, Hiccup told them to wait patiently in the living room. He'd be back shortly with snacks for them. So, he quickly made them a massive bowl of popcorn. Plus, some homemade milkshakes to enjoy the film with.

He then turned on their Roku and went to Disney +. Once he found the correct movie, he hit play. He then sat down on the sofa while his siblings enjoyed the magical musical about family. He glanced up a few times to watch it with them. His favorite song was "Surface Pressure" since he could relate to it.

He wasn't a massive fan of "We don't talk about Bruno" because he also felt that way. The song, while catchy, remained pretty degrading to different individuals. Someone who became everyone's scapegoat and mistreated for being different. So he didn't particularly care for that song.

He kept studying for his test till the movie concluded. After turning off their TV, the siblings gathered in a circle. He began to ask them various questions regarding the film. They frequently had in-depth conversations after watching a movie or finishing a new book.

They enjoyed expressing in greater detail their thoughts. Exchanging different POVs and so much more. After talking for half an hour, he got them ready for bed. His parents returned half an hour after he put his siblings to bed. All in all, Hiccup thought it had been quite a lovely evening.
