Great chariots of fire! I have made a discovery that could change the world! My name is Norman McKinne, and this diary is more or less to remind myself of what's happened should I ever get my memory erased.

Magic is real, and I saw it! Two wizards in an alleyway, full robes and pointed hats and all that old school getup, walked out of a wall carrying heavy luggage. One of them said something about how they "should have brought the elf" to carry their stuff, before they both put down their bags, one of them pulled out a wand, spoke some sort of gibberish, and all their luggage was transformed, before my very eyes, into a single handbag.

Now I won't lie, I was only in that alley to buy some product, I'm a fiend, and I'm not going into specifics, I know what I'm into and anyone who finds this doesn't need to try to add more charges if it comes out. So I wasn't even sure what I saw was real because my mental state is already finicky, but I got the next part on camera, and I've watched it back over and over. The same wizard who shrunk down their luggage also glamoured their clothes and appearance, turning them into two normal men; no long beards, no robes, just graphic tees and buzzcuts.

At that point I saw one of them turn towards the dumpster I was hiding behind and I freaked out. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't run cause they'd definitely notice me then. It was a terrifying experience, as I heard one of them, I don't know which, walk over, and stop just before passing me, saying "It must've been nothing."

I don't know the specifics of the situation, and that terrifies me even more. There are magical beings living among us, right under our noses. They might be tracking me for all I know, they might have been lying about not seeing me. They probably have the capacity to erase my memory, which is why I'm writing this diary, to remind myself of what happened in case they do that.

I'm gonna try to go back to that spot soon and do a stake out, but I'm not going alone and I'm not going unprotected. I'm gonna try to find some other people to join me, but I don't even know where to start.

I have a suspicion about the situation however, but don't take this as fact; One of those wizards mentioned an "elf" carrying their stuff, which immediately makes me think of the house elves from Harry Potter, but even if those are some sort of masquerade breech I doubt J.K. Rowling, or whoever really wrote it, would have shared genuine wizard secrets. For now I'm just going about this inductively. Still, trust no one. -Norman P. McKinne 11/28/22
