"I will be right there," Charlie said, and Beau stood up to follow his dad to the door. He had begged Charlie to reconsider Dinner with Edward, but he insisted it was tonight. "I am sorry, Boy... there has been a suicide at the harbor,"

"What?"

"I'll tell you later, Edward. Enjoy dinner with Beau. Since you two are adults, I can't tell you that you have a curfew," Charlie said, and Beau begged him not to embarrass him. "You can even stay the night on the couch since it's the weekend... but if I catch you in bed with-"

"Dad!"

"I have a pistol full of bullets with your name on it," Charlie kissed his son's forehead even though the boy was furious and redder than a cherry. Beau walked back to the table as Edward was smirking at him,

"Not. A. Word." Beau nearly growled at Edward as he knew he was about to be teased for having an overprotective father. "So... what gave you this heart change?" Beau asked, dropping his politeness now that his father wasn't at the table to tell him to behave, "I seemingly repulsed you the first time we met..."

"Yeah, er... I am sorry. I didn't mean to lead you to think that. I have just been going through a lot," Edward said, and Beau raised an eyebrow, curious about the boy being so honest and sincere with him. He sounded like an old Hollywood actor with the dialect he spoke, "Please, forgive me?" He asked with big eyes making Beau smile small at him.

"I think I forgave you when you saved my life,"

"Sorry about your truck,"

"It's fine... I needed to take it to La Push anyway,"

"La Push? I am unaware of any shops there?"

"Yeah, My dad's friend's son said he could fix it for me for free," Beau shrugged.

"Are you aware of all of the bear attacks down there?"

"Yeah, I will be fine," Beau scratched the back of his neck, a little uncomfortable seeing how intensely Edward was looking at him.

"Why don't you take it to my mechanic in Seattle... I'll pay for it,"

"Edward, I don't want you to pay for it. Honestly, I don't want to be treated like a baby, and that's how everyone is treating me." Beau rolled his eyes and stuffed some steak into his mouth.

"I think I can understand that... does it still hurt?" Edward asked, trying to change the subject, pointing to Beau's sprained wrist in a cuff.

"Yeah, It's fine. It just hurts at night," Beau poked at his steak as Edward looked at him. His stare was a little intense and made Beau's tummy flutter. It was almost like a glare, Edward was trying to hear Beau's thoughts, but it wasn't working. "I am sorry for my Dad,"

"It is okay. He loves you..." Edward said, cutting the rare steak that Charlie had grilled for him, then swallowing it like he didn't think it was disgusting. The Cullens didn't really eat. They would pretend to eat and swallow to keep up appearances. "Where I am from... er, boys like you aren't very received well,"

"Are you from Alabama?" Beau raised his eyebrow, making Edward chuckle. Beau had black hair that made his skin look porcelain white, and silky. He had smudged eyeliner and black nails that most bigots would say make him look like a 'fairy,' but he just liked the alternative look. Edward remembered it vividly because he was too young to be around for the gothic phase in the 2000s. He hated it because everyone wanted to be vampires.

"Chicago," He said, leaving out that it was 1901 Chicago.

"Are you 'like' me?" Beau asks Edward if he is gay. He had been wondering since the guy had been looking at him with googoo eyes since he had saved him.

"I don't know..." He said a little sultry that, made Beau even more curious. Beau looked at him quizzically, "What are you thinking?" He blushed since he had relied so much on his powers for centuries. He had never met someone who he couldn't tap into their thoughts.

"You don't like the steak, do you?"

"I... might be a vegetarian," He said, an inside joke that he would normally use with his 'siblings'.

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"I didn't want to trouble you," He shrugged as Beau grabbed Edward's plate, pulled out some lettuce to make a salad, and heated some mac and cheese in the oven. "You don't-"

"It's fine. It will be ready in a couple of minutes," Beau shrugged, turning around to see that Edward was inches away from him, cornering him against the counter. He was a foot taller than Beau. Usually, Beau wouldn't submit so fast, but something about Edward intrigued him.

"Is this okay?" Edward asked, and Beau nodded, "Why can't I tell what you are thinking," He asked with compulsion dripping from him. He raised his eyebrows when he didn't see Beau's pupils dilate.

"I am a complex guy,"

"That you are..."

"If you are afraid to kiss me... My dad isn't serious,"

"I just didn't know if you wanted me to kiss you," He said. He could usually hear the girls he went on dates with thoughts, so he wouldn't make them uncomfortable. "You have beautiful lips..." Edward called out. His lips looked like they were stained with cherries. "That... was creepy, wasn't it,"

"You haven't kissed a guy before, have you?" Beau asked as Edward shook his head. Beau rolled his eyes. "Let me brush my teeth. Dad thinks he is an iron chef and loads garlic on everything," Beau said, but then Edward cupped his face, leaning down to kiss him. He was a little worried about his bad breath but quickly kissed Edward back as it seemed he didn't care. Edward abruptly pulled away and sneezed a couple of times, "Are you allergic to me?"

"No, Garlic,"

"What?!"

"It's fine... I am only intolerant," Edward shrugged, kissing Beau again. The shorter boy began to run his hand up Edward's legs before he was stopped. "Let's... go slow. I don't want to pressure you,"

"I am not a virgin..." Beau said, and then Edward bashfully scratched the back of his head. Edward wasn't only a virgin. He was a 121 Year Old Virgin.
