Also I feel like I should say that I was listening to a video that was about the Omegaverse so theres that. And I almost didn't post today but I did it. I just have 3 essays due. . .tomrrow. But I posted today!
Regulus Focus
Regulus has gotten sick of trying to find James' Christmas gifts and hide them from him. By which he means he attempted to do it one year and just gave up. So that was why he came up with the idea of shipping James off with his brother Sirius so Remus and Regulus could get the gifts for James and Sirius (and vis versa). Then meet up again and go their separate ways. And unbeknownst to James, Regulus would give Remus the gifts he had gotten for James and have Remus hide them for him because again he has given up trying to after last year.
So they met up and split up as they planned in London so they can see what the muggle shops got and also what Diagon Alley has up its sleeve. He and Remus decided they were going to look around London first and see what they had. The first place they went was a bookstore. They were totally looking for their partners and not for themselves.
Ah, who were they kidding? They were looking for themselves but hey you got to love yourself too. Regulus was warding around the classics section when he found a beautiful copy of the Picture of Dorian Gray. It was the only book that Sirius liked to read. He collected every single different-looking version he could get his hands on and one bookshelf (like one literal section of the bookshelf) was for the different versions of one book. Regulus himself didn't really get to buy the same book repeatedly just because the cover looks different or there is art inside of it. Even if he liked the book enough to have the desire to do that he could never let himself do it. The only times he did it was if he found them used and he could give the old copy to someone. And even then he felt guilty afterward. But also you have more room for more original books.
Regulus went looking for Remus and found him near the back of the store looking at a book of poetry though he could not see the name of the author or the book title because when Remus saw him he put it away rather quickly.
"Hey does Sirius have a copy of The Picture of Dorian Gray?" Regulus asks deciding to not point out how startled he looked and he guessed Remus was looking at a book that he thought he could give he could give him. Regulus tried to look at least the author of the book because he just couldn't help himself from wanting to know what it was. But Remus caught on with what he was trying to do and got in front of it trying to make it look natural. With that in mind maybe he didn't know that Regulus was trying to look at it if he was trying to do it discreetly.
"I don't think so. I am going to have to double check so keep the recite so if he do you can return it." Remus says and Regulus gives a "yeah" offhandedly because he saw a display of one of his favorite authors and just had to make sure that there wasn't a new book out. Remus gave an enormous sigh of relief as soon as Regulus was over to the display.
Remus Focus
Oh, my god. Remus thought to himself as he grabbed the book and practically ran to the counter to buy the book. Regulus just has to know what the hell he was getting for Christmas or any gift. He hates it with a burning passion. It was Regulus' idea to do this together and split up because James is just as bad as him. Honestly, they were meant to be just for that reason.
"Hi, will this be all?" The cashier asks to take the book and scan it.
"Yes, I am here with a friend and saw this for him so I had to pay for it now so he won't get any ideas of trying to see what it is." Remus rattles off for no particular reason.
"Oh, I know the type all too well. Your total is $10.50." The cashier says and Remus hands them the money.
"Thanks for shopping with us." The cashier says giving Remus the bag with the book in it with the receipt. This was going to be a long shopping trip Remus thinks to himself.
James Focus
James honestly almost cried out relief when Regulus said the plan for Christmas shopping. James knows he is a pain wanting to know what they got but Regulus is not aware that he does this at all and James thinks he might bang his head through a wall because of it.
So James and Sirius went on the hunt for stuff their partners would like for this holiday. James found some plants that he knows Remus has been eyeing lately. And some new bookmarks for Regulus since he had lost some.
Sirius Focus
Sirius was thrilled that he and James get to do this together since they haven't been Christmas shopping together in a while. Also, he has not a single clue what he should get for Regulus so doing this will bring less shame one has to ask. Sirius got some chocolate for Remus because he can never have enough. And found a book that Regulus should like. James was over by the notebooks gazing at them intently.
"Hey, Sirius, which one of these do you think Regulus would like?" James asks, holding 2 of the notebooks up. Another reason Sirius missed going Christmas shopping with James is that he can poke fun at him for it.
"You are so in love with him it is stupid you are absolutely whipped-" Before Sirius could finish his sentence Moony came to them with a bag in hand.
"Hey Sirius, can you please hold this for me? Thanks!"
"No problem Moony. Anyway, as I was saying you are absolutely whipped, James." Sirius says looking at his friend that he is giving him a look.
"Really and you are not?"
