Brielle- 'of God,' Origin French

Fem!Berry/Brielle

Summary:

Bri is an orphan who has been on her own for the past 2 years, since she was fourteen and accidentally burned down (another) foster home she was staying in. On top of her problem of accidentally setting things on fire with her mind when she was angry or destressed, she can also read other peoples thoughts. The voices in her head are deafening. So, when vampires came out of the coffin not long after she skipped out of Indiana and fled south to Texas, and she realized she couldn't 'read/hear' them she started working as a bellhop in Hotel Carmilla. It's there she meets Sookie Stackhouse. Her life becomes entangled with vampires when she reluctantly delivers the other telepath's desperate plea for help. Erik, after overhearing her warning to Bill (who is being held hostage) grabs her and brings her with him to the FotS. It's there where her fate was sealed, the very first time she saw the glowing ancient teen she'd swear was an angel. Godric..

Birelle is a demon! Demon stuff and lore. Soulmates/soul bonds. Slight alpha/omega vibes.

True Blood/Southern Vampire Mysteries' idea of demons taken directly from wiki-

In "The Southern Vampire Mysteries", the series of novels in which True Blood is based, demons are a species of fae, and appear to be the counterpart to fairies. Beings that have very sharp teeth and are tricky to kill. They can manipulate fire (referred to in Dead and Gone), run faster than any human or animal (referred to in Dead and Gone), and generate a very powerful, burning touch (referred to in Dead as a Doornail). They also possess the power of telepathy (referred to in Dead Reckoning) and can shapeshift (referred to in Deadlocked). Some, if not all, demons can perform magic. Mr. Cataliades was able to pass on his telepathy to Sookie's family by mixing his blood with her grandparent's wine. When they die, the earth does not take the body in nor does it decompose, so it has to be burned (referred to in Definitely Dead).

I am also giving them control over fire and shadows.

Their lifespans are not explained but as the 'dark' versions of Fairies I say they live just as long. Canon Niall is over 2000 years old and described as an 'elegant, handsome older man with green eyes, and pale long hair.' So, they age very slowly and beautifully, and are extremely long lived.

Bri led the donor up to the room that ordered him for the night. She hated this part of her job, being forced to interact with people, their minds were so loud. Travis, the donor, was practically screaming at that very moment how much he wanted to fuck the vampire that ordered him off "the menu." Man or woman, he didn't care, so long as they had fangs. Bri found it repulsive, that he was excited to be someone's meal and plaything.

But she would never say so out loud... mostly because she valued her life and the vampires would not appreciate such thoughts, especially where she worked. The Hotel Carmilla was the hottest vamp hotel in Dallas. The small darkhaired teen was telepathic, a curse she despised, but a fact of her life. And the fire.. well she had never fit in well with humans. Vampires weren't much better, but at least she couldn't 'hear' them.

She did her best to keep her mouth shut and her head down. Her ability to read minds would likely be seen as valuable to the vampires, but the pyrokinesis would make her a threat and put a huge target on her back. The silence they offered was worth the risks, but the tradeoff was constantly being careful to stay under the radar. If vampires knew what she could do she knew they would do something unspeakable to her.

Bri was knocked from her gloomy thoughts by the opening of the hotel room door in front of her. A smiling, tall, tan older blonde woman with a thick Louisiana accent had opened the door, she looked to be in her mid to late twenties and was obviously not a vampire.

"Male. Straight. B-negative." She informed the woman. The blonde might not be a vampire, but it wasn't the dark eyed girl's job to ask questions. She only had to escort the prostitute/donor to the paying customer. Then she could go home and close out the world.. maybe take a bubble bath.

"Hi. I'm Travis" The hooker said in a dopey voice.

'Surprised you even know your own name, you idiot.' Rude, but it was the end of her shift, and she didn't much care about how uncharitable her thoughts were right that second.

A redheaded vampire zoomed to the door startling Bri slightly. She was still waiting to get used to their speed, but it's been two months, and still their quick movements shocked her when she wasn't prepared.

"That's for me," The redhead said with a shy smile as she chewed nervously at her bottom lip. She reached out a hand to shit-for-brains Travis and the two disappeared into the adjoining bedroom.

The blonde stared after them.

'What am I supposed to do? I know Bill doesn't want her to do this. How old is he anyway? He looks barely legal'.

"He's 21." She answered the tall blondes worried thought.

Said blonde whipped her head around and stared at Bri with a small smile on her face.

'It's almost like you read my mind'. She, thought.

'That is because I did read your mind. Damnit! Just smile and act like it's a coincidence. Worst case scenario you can convince her she did speak out loud. Keep your stupid mouth shut.' The much smaller of the two chastised herself and fought the urge to bang her head against the wall.

"But it's not a coincidence." The blonde spoke aloud.

Bri froze, before turning on her small black heels and speeding down the hall.

"Bri! Bri, wait!" The blonde yelled behind her.

'Oh shoot! Shoot! Shoot! Shoot! She is following me. Dammit. What are you? Please don't hurt me' Bri panicked and picked up her pace, outright running.

But she ended up cornered at the elevators and grabbed by the arm harshly.

"I am the last person you should be afraid of. And I'm so pleased to make your acquaintance. Sookie Stackhouse."

Bri ignored her and her genuine blue eyes, and pressed the elevator button frantically. The blonde looked nice enough, but she was not taking any chances. When the elevator didn't open immediately, she considered her options. The stairs, at the other end of the hall.

"Gotta go." She darted around the other towards the stairwell.

"We have to talk about this!" Sookie said excitedly, closely following her.

"No, we really don't." She stopped and nodded to a man walking half naked down the hall. "Good evening, sir."

The man walked right passed the two women without so much as a glance.

"Well excuse you." Sookie put her hands on her hips angerly.

Bri grabbed her by the arm and shook her.

"Don't do that!"

"He didn't hear. He's glamoured, can't you tell? Listen. His mind's full of fog and disco music. By the way, they can't glamor me. Can they glamor you?" Sookie was clearly pleased as punch to have met her, Bri was of the complete opposite opinion.

"No, but I fake it." God, why was she even talking to her?!

'You ever hear vampire thoughts?'

Bri slapped a hand over Sookie's mouth, panic in her black eyes, and looked around like she was waiting for the vampires to descend upon them.

"God, no. Do not even say that out loud!"

"Uh. I didn't" Sookie said around Bri's hand.

The dark haired girl ripped her hand away and attempted to collect herself by rubbing the nonexistent wrinkles out of her dress uniform.

"Listen, I don't know what little fried-corn-on-the-cob town you're from, or what candy-ass vampires you're with, but this is Dallas, honey." She whispered harshly trying in vain to get the other to understand the gravity of the situation. "Dallas vamps are scary as shit."

"So are mine thank-you-very-much," Sookie indignantly crossed her arms over her chest. "I had to learn pretty quick how to handle myself."

"If they knew what we could do they would suck us dry!" Bri hissed furiously. 'Just leave me alone!'

"They'd do worse than that. You think I don't know? That's why we need to swap stories. We can help each other." Sookie pleaded, completely ignoring the angry black eyes trying to burn holes in her head.

"I don't want any help! You can't tell anyone about me, please!"

After getting the pleading words out she ran.
