For Steven and Bill, Winter Break couldn't have come soon enough. While they were able to hang out at school, they never had much time to hang out at each other's houses. Not to mention, Steven didn't have much time to be with his boyfriend, Jake, unless they were both in school. Now that school was out of the picture for a little bit, things were going to be fun again.
Today, the two were at Steven's house, hanging out in Steven's room in nothing but their underwear. Although both could've gone fully nude, they didn't want to take any risks unless they were at Lucas or Jake's house.
"So, Bill. Are you excited?" asked Steven.
"Yeah. I know you are," said Bill.
"Of course, I am. I can finally spend more time with Jake without school getting in the way," said Steven.
"And you have more opportunities to kiss him," said Bill.
"Yeah," Steven said while blushing.
"Well, what's the plan? What are we doing for the next few weeks?" asked Bill.
"I'm hoping we can do something with the whole group. Maybe we could go to the mall or an arcade or something," said Steven.
"That could work. Hopefully, everyone's free to do it," said Bill.
"Yeah, I know Christmas can get chaotic when it comes to making plans. It would be awesome if we could do it, but we'll see," said Steven.
"Yeah," said Bill.
The two were silent for a bit until Steven asked Bill, "Bill, you're cool with me having a boyfriend, right?"
"Of course, dude. Girlfriend, boyfriend, it doesn't matter. As long as you're happy, that's all that matters." said Bill.
"Cool. But do you think I'm being a good boyfriend to Jake?" asked Steven.
"Why would you ask that? You two seem to be getting along well," said Bill.
"I don't know. I guess…I feel like I could be better. I always feel scared anytime the two of us are in public. I know I really shouldn't care about how other people feel but…it just sucks." said Steven.
"Steven, people are going to give you crap no matter what. People give me crap for my size, and it hurts. But after a while, you just got to block it out. From what I know, the rest of middle school and high school is going to be rough but after that, no one will care." said Bill.
"I know but I don't know if Jake and I will still be together by the time high school is over. That's years away," said Steven.
"Hey, I think you two will make it. You two were made for each other. You'll be fine." said Bill.
"Thanks, Bill," said Steven.
"No problem," said Bill.
"Now, can I ride on your shoulders?" asked Steven.
"Of course," said Bill before Steven got on Bill's shoulders and Bill grabbed Steven's ankles. Thanks to Bill's size, he was able to handle Steven's weight. It helped that Steven was relatively skinny. Not super skinny but a bit slimmer than Lucas and Jake. His visible ribs and spine made him feel insecure but thankfully Bill never cared about that.
They exited Steven's room and walked around the house. The two had been doing this since they met in the 1st grade and Steven loved it because it was his chance to feel tall before he actually became tall.
While walking, they ran into Steven's mom, who said, "Hello boys. I see you two are having fun."
"Yes, we are," said Steven.
"Well, remember to eat something. You two have been in that room for hours," said Steven's mom.
"I know, Mom. We're about to eat now," said Steven.
"Good. And make sure to clean up after yourselves," said Steven's mom.
"We will," said Bill.
When they walked downstairs, Steven got off Bill's shoulders because he wasn't about to risk injury. Once downstairs, they entered the kitchen and made themselves some PB&J sandwiches. After eating, they got on the couch to watch TV. Bill sat down while Steven laid down and rested his legs on Bill's legs.
Although both were certain something drama-related would happen during the break, they did believe that it was going to be a fun Christmas.
