A/N: Hi! This is my first fanfic, so I apologize if it sucks. Feedback is very much appreciated, so please leave a review. I hope you like it! :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto(I don't think I'd do a very good job writing it if I did)

"Happy birthday, teme!" Naruto yelled as he burst through the door of Sasuke's apartment. Sasuke sighed. Ever since he had figured out how to pick a lock, Naruto would show up randomly at his or Sakura's apartment, often at the worst of times. It gave both of them absolutely no privacy whatsoever.

Naruto swung an arm over Sasuke's shoulder which the last Uchiha promptly shrugged off. "Oh come on, it's your eighteenth birthday. Lighten up a little!" the jinchuriki complained, dropping multiple plastic bags on Sasuke's kitchen counter.

"What are those?" Sasuke asked, glancing at the brightly colored streamers inside. He really hoped they weren't what he thought they were. However, the universe seemed to be conspiring against him, because, upon closer inspection, it was clear that Naruto had indeed brought party supplies. To his house. On his birthday. Which could only really mean one thing.

"We're planning a birthday party for you!" Sasuke groaned internally. Having a ton of people over was not the way he wanted to spend his birthday, or any day for that matter. In fact, he already had a plan for the day that he would be 'transitioning into adulthood,' at least according to Kakashi. Said plan however, involved a certain pink-haired kunoichi who hadn't arrived yet. Where the hell is she? His frustration must have shown on his face because suddenly Naruto was grinning like the Cheshire cat.

"What's wrong, teme? Sad that your girlfriend isn't here?" he teased. But instead of glaring like usual, Sasuke simply smirked. If he had his way, she wouldn't be just his girlfriend for long. Naruto, on the other hand, looked at Sasuke as if he had grown another head. He narrowed his eyes suspiciously.

"Teme, what–"

"Sorry for being late!" Sakura exclaimed, walking into the kitchen. Panting heavily, she dropped her bag onto the counter. "I almost forgot the food, so I had to go run and grab some from the store." She was wearing a light green kimono and had her hair pulled into a messy bun, with strands of pink framing her face. Her face was flushed from her trip to the store, but her jade eyes sparkled with excitement. Sasuke could feel his breath hitch and his heart beat faster than usual.

"Sasuke-kun?" She looked at him questioningly, and he realized that he had been staring. He was quite aware of Naruto's presence, as the loudmouth was currently going on and on about Sakura's kimono and how she really didn't need to be that fancy, but Sasuke could've cared less. Instead, he dipped his head down until his face was just millimeters away from Sakura's, smirking again when he saw her face begin to turn the same color as her hair. Nevertheless, she angled her face up towards him as her eyes fluttered shut. He leaned forward, closing the distance between them and relishing the distinct strawberry flavor of Sakura's lips.

"Oi, lovebirds. Quit making out and help me with the decorations!" Naruto yelled. The couple quickly broke apart, Sakura blushing madly while Sasuke glared daggers at his best friend.

"I'll help," she squeaked out, sorting through the bags.

"You guys do know I hate parties, right?" Sasuke asked, watching his teammates.

"I know, but I thought it'd be nice to celebrate such a big occasion with all of our friends. I mean, it's your eighteenth birthday after all," Sakura said hopefully.

"And besides, it's not like you of all people would have any plans for your birthday," Naruto added as two of his clones put up a banner with the words Happy 18th Birthday. Sasuke crossed his arms.

"Actually, I do." Both his teammates stopped and stared at him.

"You do?" Sakura and Naruto asked at the same time, both wearing twin expressions of shock. Sasuke smirked.

"I do. And I'd like to get that done before that stupid party you're planning," he said, grabbing Sakura's arm.

"Huh? But–" she began to protest, but Sasuke cut her off.

"Don't worry, it won't take too long." Before Naruto could say anything, Sasuke had already dragged Sakura out of the apartment. The jinchuriki looked around at the party supplies scattered around him as the realization occurred to him.

"I have to do all this by myself?!"

Sasuke walked in front of Sakura, still gripping her hand as she stared at the back of his head in confusion. What's gotten into him? Even more pressing was the question of where they were headed, as she had no clue other than the fact that Sasuke had apparently planned it.

"Um, Sasuke-kun, where are we going?"

"Hokage Tower."

"Why?"

"..."

"Are we going to see Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked. It was the only possible thing she could think of, and even that idea seemed far-fetched. Why Sasuke would want to visit Kakashi was beyond her. She pondered the thought while waiting for Sasuke's answer. Maybe he wants him to be there for his birthday? He might not admit it, but I think Kakashi-sensei's always been a father figure for him.

"Hn." Sakura groaned and was about to ask him to elaborate further when she realized that they had reached their destination. Without hesitation, Sasuke pulled her with him inside. The couple walked up the long, winding stairs as Sakura continued trying to figure out a reason as to why they were there.

Suddenly, she slammed into Sasuke's back. After muttering an 'ow,' she noticed that they had stopped in front of the Hokage's office. She glanced back at Sasuke, who did nothing but stand there, staring ahead. Sighing, Sakura took it upon herself to knock on the door. When she got no reply, the kunoichi pushed it open, Sasuke following soon after. The office was cluttered with paperwork and, much to Sakura's distaste, copies of Kakashi's favorite novel series. She looked at her sensei, currently seated at his desk and slumped over even more piles of paperwork. Being Hokage must really be draining, huh? I wonder if Naruto knows what he's getting into.

"Kakashi-sensei?" she called. The rokudaime looked up from his paperwork.

"Sakura? Sasuke?" he asked rather tiredly. Sakura glanced back at Sasuke as Kakashi blinked the sleep from his eyes. "Oh, Sasuke, happy eighteenth birthday. Sorry I couldn't help with the party. I've been so busy with all this Hokage business. I barely have time to read my book," he said with a sigh. Despite herself, Sakura smiled. Even as Hokage, her sensei's love for rather…questionable literature still persevered. "So, what can I do for you?"

The three stood in silence, with Sakura glancing at Sasuke every now and then. She could practically feel the awkwardness hanging in the air. She didn't even know why she was there in the first place. Gah, I can't take it anymore! Just say something already!

"Marry us," Sasuke commanded. Sakura turned her head towards him so fast she swore she got whiplash. Kakashi, it seemed, was in the same boat as her.

"What?"

"I said, marry us. I'm eighteen now, so it's legal," Sasuke explained as casually as if he was talking about the weather. Sakura stared at him. Is this really happening? She felt her face go red when Sasuke looked at her. "That is, if it's okay with you," he asked, turning away from her slightly in embarrassment. Sakura could see the nervousness in his eyes and smiled softly at him. Standing on her tiptoes, she kissed him gently on the lips.

"It is," she whispered, stepping back down. Sasuke's eyes widened, staring at her for a moment before bending down and reaching behind her head to pull her closer. But before their lips could meet again, Kakashi interrupted them.

"So, now that we've got that out of the way, let's do this," he said. "Do you, Uchiha Sasuke, take Haruno Sakura to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"And do you, Haruno Sakura, take Uchiha Sasuke to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I do." Kakashi smiled at the couple.

"Well then, by the power vested in me as Hokage, I now pronounce you husband and wife," he said, pushing a marriage certificate in front of them. Sasuke bent down, singing his name with the careful precision Sakura had come to associate with him. After he handed her the pen, she signed her name in her usual loopy cursive, though this time, one thing was different. She looked back up at Sasuke, whose gaze was fixated on the page.

"Uchiha Sakura," he said, looking at her with wonder. Kakashi smiled again at his two students.

"You may now kiss the bride."

Sasuke didn't need to be told twice.

Naruto stepped back and admired his work. The banner was in the right place, the food was heated up and ready to eat, and everybody was already in their hiding places. When Teme and Sakura-chan get back, they'll definitely be in for a surprise. He shut off the lights and quickly ducked behind the couch near the door. After a few moments, he heard the keys jingle in the lock. Everybody waited with bated breath as the door finally swung open.

"Happy birthday!" they all yelled, jumping up. Naruto turned on the lights, only to stare at the sight in front of him. Sasuke was carrying Sakura bridal style into the apartment. Her arms were wrapped around his neck and upon realizing that she and Sasuke weren't the only people there, she had buried her head in his shirt, blushing from embarrassment.

"Are we interrupting something?" Naruto asked sheepishly. Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "Um…" Naruto trailed off, unsure of what to say. The other members of the Konoha 12 continued staring at the couple in shock. Sasuke glared at them and they took that as their cue to leave. Naruto, however, remained where he was standing. As he watched the last of the guests walk out the door, his disbelief quickly turned into anger.

"Hey! I worked so hard planning that party! You can't just make everybody leave!"

"Yes I can. It's my birthday." Sasuke said. Naruto knew he couldn't argue with that.

"Well, what are you even going to do anyway?" the jinchuriki complained, waving his arms wildly. Sasuke smirked and glanced at the pink-haired kunoichi in his arms.

"Celebrate my birthday with my wife.
