"I think if you handle it like it might suddenly explode at any moment, you'll be fine," Carlton said, staring down at the infant carrier that Kara had deposited on the center of the kitchen table before leaving for the White House. Frankie stared at Carlton for a moment, then let out another wail, tiny hands flailing.

"It is a child," Ravit replied, shaking her head.

Carlton scowled. "I don't see you picking him up either."

Ravit leaned over the contraption, studying the straps that held Frankie securely in the seat, before pushing down on the big, red button. When nothing happened, she scowled at Carlton. "How do you untangle these straps? They seem more secure than a parachute."

Wolf popped his head into the kitchen. "What's that..oh, didn't know we were watching the ankle biter."

"Green's on assignment and Michener called Kara in," Carlton explained. "But she didn't tell us how that thing works."

Wolf raised an eyebrow. "You mean the baby?"

"No," Ravit gave an exaggerated sigh. "The baby seat."

"Oh, right. Hey there, bub." Wolf leaned over, ticking Frankie under the chin, before pressing both sides of the red button and unsnapping the infant. Pushing the straps to the side, Wolf lifted Frankie, plopping him on his hip.

"How did you..." Carlton started, before stumbling to a stop. "He stopped crying."

"Guess he was tired of the seat." When Carlton continued to stare, Wolf added. "Six younger brothers and sisters, mate. You learn a thing or two."

Ravit and Carlton exchanged looks and then headed for the door. Ravit paused at the last minute, smirking at Wolf. "Thanks for volunteering to babysit, Taylor. "

As they disappeared, Wolf grinned down at Frankie. "Looks like it's just you and me, Little Green Man. Let's find something fun to do. Maybe we can go freak out Uncle Eric."
