Author's Note:
Thanks everyone for reading the first chapter and stopping by to check out the second chapter! Here I'll be responding to some reviews.
TheChrisanthemum: Thanks for being my first review! I reread the chapter after the fact and did notice some spelling and grammar errors and I'm going back and updating it to fix it as I go. I'm trying to be better about it going forward, and I'll still be rereading and checking after the fact as well. I really like reading your thoughts on the cast and what you think is going to happen, I can't really respond and give things away though
Metal face: I hate to break your heart, but as of right now I have no plans on adding characters mid-season. The eighteen we got in episode 1 are who we're going to follow. There might be a returner at the merge, but even that I'm unsure about. I've never really liked the aftermaths and I don't think I'd be able to write one very well. I do plan on writing a sequel to this in like a "Fans VS Favorite" kind of season so maybe be on the look out for that for some Jo and Bridgette.
Episode 2: Chef the Bounty Hunter
"Last time on Total Drama Breakout: we were introduced to our cast of sixteen returning contestants, plus two rejects from our lesser sister show. The eighteen prisoners were split into three teams. The male team, the female team, and the coed team. Over on the Masculine Manatees, Brick tried and failed to take charge. With the Feminine Flamingos, Eva quickly took charge of her team, but it did rub some the wrong way. Dave and Sky got into a heated argument on the Androgynous Aardvarks, but Justin was able to secure the team the first win of the season. As for the losers? The Feminine Flamingos barely lost and had to vote someone out and thanks to some scheming from Sierra and Amy, former mutated freak Dakota was sent packing. Who will do some scheming this episode? Who will form the next alliance? Most importantly, who will be the next one to take the chair of shame into the dungeon of losers? Find out now on Total! Drama! Breakout!"
Dear Mom and Dad I'm doin' fine,
You guys are on my mind.
You asked me what I wanted to be
and now I think the answer is plain to see,
I wanna be famous.
I wanna live close to the sun,
Go pack your bags, 'cause I've already won,
Everything to prove, nothing in my way
I'll get there one day.
Cause, I wanna be famous!"
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na!
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The episode opened up with Justin waking up and stretching out on his bed in the Warden's Quarters. He looked around to see everyone else had already woken up. He moved to go get some food to the kitchen, but his face quickly fell into a look of annoyance as Staci was in there, already yapping away to everyone else.
"Yah, so like, my great great great great great great great great great great uncle invented honey nut cheerios. Before that, people had to eat regular old bland cheerios." Staci said as she shoved a spoon full of the cereal into her mouth. The camera panned around the dining area to show Ezekiel, Dave, and Sky completely exhausted from all of Staci's constant talking, but Dawn seemed to look more concerned than anything.
Justin face palmed as he went and quickly got pancakes and bacon and sat down at a table, quietly eating. Staci slid over next to Justin and looked at him. "Ya know, my great grandmother actually invented showmances..." she said in an attempt to flirt with the model.
The pretty boy almost choked on his food. "Is that so?" he asked, pretending to be interested.
"Yah! Before that people could only ever be friends or enemies on shows." the blabbermouth finished smugly.
"I'll have to look into that." Justin replied. Staci nodded, unable to look away from the model.
(Confessionals)
Staci sat there smiling. "Oh yah, I'm totally seducing him."
xx
Justin slapped himself on the forehead and groaned. "I know I said I'd do anything to win this show, but do I really have to flirt with her? I mean, I'll do it, but I won't be happy about it."" He smirked. "At least I know I have someone easily under my control.
xx
Dawn sat there thoughtfully. "Justin's aura seems to be up to no good.. Staci on the other hand... She just wants to belong. I wish to help her."
(End of Confessionals)
Dave and Sky sat as far away from each other as possible, but even that still seemed to be too close for them. They were constantly glaring at each other. Ezekiel, who was stuck in between them began to feel uncomfortable. "Y'know, just don't look at each other, eh. You're making me upset."
Dave scoffed, "You don't even know what it's like to go through something like this."
"Yeah, I'd like to see you be calm in the presence of someone who tried to kill you. If you want this to stop help me vote that unstable freak off." Sky growled.
"You left me on a dangerous island. I was mauled by a bear!" Dave shouted.
Sky stood up slamming her hands on the table and angrily shouted back, "You tried to bury me in an avalanche!"
"I didn't think that would hurt you!" he defended, "And I was right, you were fine! I just wanted the money!" Sky shook her head and stormed off. Dave just slouched over.
"Are you okay, eh?" Ezekiel asked.
Dave shrugged. "Yeah I'm fine. No I'm not. I don't know." he sighed, "I admit I took it too far in the finale of Pahkitew Island, but I genuinely wasn't trying to kill her."
"He's telling the truth." Dawn said from across the table. "I can see it in his, admittedly very conflicted, aura."
(Confessionals)
Ezekiel sat there and sighed. "Honestly, I don't really care about their drama, eh. I just don't want it to negatively affect me. One of them is going home as soon as we lose."
Sky glared at the confessional. "Can you believe that guy? Didn't think that would hurt me? He's not an idiot! I know he was trying to kill me. I'm not going to let him hurt me ever again."
Dave groaned miserably. "Look after how Pahkitew Island was edited, I was bullied back at home. They didn't tell the full story and they wanted me to look like the bad guy." He sniffled, "I came back to save my reputation, I don't really care about Sky. I just want her to leave me alone."
Dawn once again was sitting in the confessional. "Along with helping Staci, I'd like to help Dave and Sky through their problems. Dave can definitely be helped, I can read it in his aura that he really does mean well, he just has an obsessive personality, which can definitely be fixed. Sky on the other hand? Her anger is scary and who aura vibrant and not in a good way. I believe she can be helped, but I do not know if I'm the one who can help her."
(End of Confessionals)
The Masculine Manatees were waking up in their cells and began to make their way towards the cafeteria to get the prison food breakfast. Brick slowed down to speak with Duncan. "Hey Duncan, can we talk?" he asked.
"Ugh, are you about to ask me out or something?" The delinquent asked, wary.
Brick shook his head. "No, soldier."
"That's a relief, you aren't really my type." Duncan chuckled.
"Anyways," Brick said, "You almost cost us the challenge yesterday."
Duncan glared at the cadet, "What are you talking about? I was the last one standing!"
"Yeah, but if you just listened to my plan it wouldn't have been that close!" The cadet argued.
The delinquent rolled his eyes. "Sorry, but I don't follow a leader, pal."
"You will begin to or you will be deemed a liability to the team." Brick threatened before walking ahead to Sam to give the same lecture.
(Confessionals)
Duncan sat in the confessional. "Who does that cadet think he is?" he demanded, "He went out like a pathetic wimp back in his season and he thinks he can boss us all around? Well I'm not going to just bow down and listen to that loser!"
xx
Sam sat in the confessional and rubbed his head sheepishly. "So, Brick talked to me. I guess I did kind of mess up. I'll do better in the future, but getting lectured day 2 isn't fun."
xx
Brick smiled. "I think that went great! Sam took it very well and we can just vote off that delinquent the first chance we get! I think this season is shaping up to be great."
(End of Confessional)
Topher was standing behind Jay and Mickey in the breakfast line. Chef slapped some slop down onto Mickey's tray and he screamed.
"What even is this!? This looks like it can kill me!" Mickey whimpered.
Chef rolled his eyes, "It's nutritional, coward! Man up!" the chef shouted.
"C'mon Chef, saying man up is toxic masculinity and kind of sexist." Jay corrected him, "Now let's go Mickey the food will be fine."
Mickey nodded poking the food with his fork.
Topher walked up next, "Those guys are pathetic, huh?"
"You're not any better." Chef glowered, plopping a scoop of the slop onto his tray.
Topher went and took a seat across from the twins. "I was thinking, we should work together." he began, "Brick is taking charge of the team and Duncan is a strong competitor. We could keep each other safe."
Jay looked to be considering it for a bit, but before he could say anything Mickey piped up, "No thank you. No alliances." Jay sighed and Mickey smiled, "We do appreciate the thought though, right Jay?"
"Right." Jay finally spoke. Topher sighed, annoyed.
(Confessionals:)
Jay and Mickey sat in the confessional room. "Well, it's nice to know we're wanted here at least." Mickey stated, positive about something for the first time.
"Yeah, are you sure we can't do alliances?" Jay asked.
Mickey frowned at his brother. "You're the one that made the rule, Jay."
"That was the race, Mickey. This is a different show." the optimistic twin replied.
xx
Topher was clearly upset. "Look, Jay and Mickey seemed super easy to manipulate. Mickey is making that more difficult because he's a coward and can't align with anyone. If I can get rid of him, Jay will be easy pickings."
xx
Finally, Jay was in the confessional again, but alone this time. "I love my brother dearly, he's my favorite person on the planet. I do think he's holding us back though." he sighed, "I hate saying that about him, but you need friends in this game. We need to make sure people like us enough to not vote for us! We're just pushing people away though."
(End of Confessionals)
Amy woke up in the solitary confinement cell and groaned. She looked around and noticed everyone else was awake too, eating breakfast. She walked over and got her tray of stale bread and gross water. "This sucks, guys. Let's never lose again." she told everyone else.
"Agreed." Eva said.
Sierra shrugged. "It's not that bad!" the fan insisted, "It's way better than losing in Pahkitew Island or in World Tour or in All Stars" she decided.
"That doesn't make this good." Lindsay said.
"I kind of liked losing in Pahkitew Island, it was nice to see the other team so happy!" Ella replied.
Amy scoffed, "Can't say I agree with you there."
Sierra clapped happily, "That is so sweet of you Ella! I was such a big fan of you while watching Pahkitew Island, I really wish you and Dave had ended up together, you would be so cute!"
"Oh, uh thanks." Ella replied awkwardly.
(Confessionals)
Eva sat there glaring. "I have no idea how Dakota was eliminated last night, but that's not good for Lindsay and I. I'd say we could probably get Ella to work with us, but she clearly voted for Dakota last time, so Amy might already have her teeth sunk into her. Maybe we could convince Sierra to swap? I wonder why she voted Dakota anyways."
xx
"Sierra is really sweet." Ella said, "But I really wish she wouldn't bring up my crush on Dave."
xx
Sierra shrugged, "What? I'm not wrong! They'd be cute together! Anyways, I think Lindsay should be the next boot from the team. She's dumb but also can be incredibly smart and I think that's dangerous for me. Plus, I want Eva to be the muscle of my alliance."
xx
"Ugh I hate this stupid show, I should be getting the nice meals in the Warden's Quarters!" Amy ranted.
xx
Lindsay yawned. "I didn't sleep very well in that cell, we need to win the next challenge... Oh! Also I don't know how Dakota got the boot, but that sucks. I'm going to talk to Ella I think, she's nice enough to see what Amy is up to."
(End of Confessionals)
Chris has the remaining seventeen contestants gathered in the cafeteria. "Alright! Day two! Aren't we all excited?"
"No!" over half the characters said.
Chris frowned. "Whatever." he said, "well fine we don't need to have a conversation, I'll just force you to compete in the next challenge."
"You were going to do that anyways." Duncan stated.
"Shut up!" Chris snapped, "For this next challenge we'll be having Chef hunt you down. That's it. If he catches you he'll throw you in a cell and you're out of the challenge. Last team standing wins. Also all the lights will be out and you'll only have these flashlights to see with." Chef Hatchet stepped out from behind the cafeteria counter and cracked his knuckles, chuckling. Mickey raised his hand. "Uh, yes Mickey?" Chris asked.
"This is scary." The scared twin said, "Is he allowed to hurt us?" Brick nodded in agreement, thinking about the dark, shivering.
Chris shrugged, "Not too badly!" Mickey went to open his mouth to ask what he meant by that, but Chris spoke too fast, "Go!" he announced. The seventeen contestants took off and the camera followed the Androgynous Aardvarks as they began to plan.
"We should all split up." Dave stated, "It doesn't matter if five of us get caught as long as one person is safe."
Sky scoffed. "Obviously, idiot."
"Hey!" Dave shouted.
"I'm not letting this start again." Dawn interrupted, grabbing Dave by the ear and dragging him off.
"Ow! Ow!" Dave complained as he was dragged away by Dawn. Justin shrugged and walked away in a different direction and Staci ran after him.
"You want to stick together, eh?" Ezekiel asked Sky. Sky looked at him, laughed, and then walked away causing the farm boy to slouch over and walk off on his own.
/
Over on the Masculine Manatees, Brick was attempting to take charge once again. "Attention soldiers." they all looked at him in attention, Duncan rolled his eyes. However, Sam, Jay, and Mickey saluted their leader. "At ease, men." Brick told them. "The best course of action is to stick together and watch out for each other." Mickey instantly nodded his head in agreement.
"Wait a second." Topher said, "I respect you and all, Brick, but that's really stupid. We don't want to be grouped up when Chef finds us!"
Duncan nodded. "The Chris wannabe is right." he stated plainly. "He'll easily capture all of us if we stick together."
"Well, that's just not true." Brick said. "Can't you let me lead for once?"
Sam and Jay exchanged looks as well. "Well," Jay started, "This challenge might not be the best one to allow you to lead. We can all agree to let you lead the next one!" Jay promised.
"Yeah, totally!" Sam said, "You can totally be our Elite Commander. That was a Ring reference heheh." Duncan, Mickey, and Topher also all agreed, just so Brick would let them go off on their own without throwing a fit this time.
After everyone agreed Duncan, Topher, Sam, and Jay all took off. Mickey quickly ran after Jay, leaving Brick alone. Brick sighed. "I just want to lead a team to success.."
"You need more backbone!" Came Chef's voice from behind. Brick turned around and let off a scream as Cjef grabbed him. The scene cut to show Brick being tossed into a cell. "You're out scaredy cat!"
/
The feminine flamingos all agreed to split up. Lindsay quickly grabbed Ella and walked with her wanting to befriend her. Meanwhile, Sierra and Eva decided to work together, both with their ulterior motives. That left Amy all alone.
She crept quietly, upset at being left alone. "Those four better not be plotting against me."
(Confessional)
Amy sat there with her arms crossed. "Lindsay snatched up Ella suspiciously quick and Sierra going with Eva doesn't make me very confident in our alliance. Definitely need to make sure Lindsay or Eva are the next ones out."
(End of Confessional)
"You really should learn to be quiet, I mean you're talking to yourself." a voice came from behind her. She whipped around and was instantly grabbed by Chef. The scene cut to show her being thrown into a cell with Brick.
"Ugh," she started, "second one caught?"
Brick nodded solemnly. "At least you weren't the first one out." he replied.
Amy put her head into her hand. "Yeah, but the others already have a reason to vote me out! You're probably safe." she explained.
"Well, that's right. My team would be pretty foolish to vote me off." The cadet agreed. "But why would your team vote you off? You seem pretty capable!"
The mean cheerleader blushed. "I do?" Brick just nodded in response. "It doesn't matter how capable I am. Other than Sierra, I don't think they like me very much. I can't imagine why."
Brick just shrugged. "I'm sure you'll grow on them."
"Thanks. Your team is lucky to have such a strong leader." She complimented.
(Confessionals)
"I know I shouldn't trust Amy." Brick began his confessional. "I've heard about how she treated her sister, but she seems so.. different than how others told me she was."
xx
Amy glared at the confessional camera. "Not a word, audience! So what if I think guys in uniform are cute? He's totally not my type."
(End of Confessionals)
Lindsay and Ella walked down a dark corridor, not really being careful while talking. "So what did you want to talk about?" Ella asked the blonde.
"Well..." Lindsay started, "I just wanted to know why you voted for Dakota last night."
Ella looked shocked before asking, "How do you know I voted for Dakota?"
"Eva and I voted for Amy." Lindsay explained. "Dakota wouldn't have voted for herself. So that left you, Amy, and Sierra."
"Oh! You're so smart!" Ella complimented. "I simply voted off Dakota because Sierra told me that Dakota would be happier off the show. That was so thoughtful of her."
"Yeah..." Lindsay replied, awkwardly.
(Confessional)
Lindsay looked slightly confused. "Sierra? She has never been the scheming kind before. I'll have to talk to Eva about this, maybe Amy is just mean, not a schemer."
(End of Confessional)
"Work with Lindsay and I." Eva told Sierra, straight to the point.
The super fan looked at her stunned. "Huh. I didn't take you two for the alliance types! Well, Lindsay usually gets tricked into alliances. Are you tricking her?" Sierra asked.
"No. She approached me. Stop working with that she-devil Amy." The female bully grunted out.
"She's not that bad!" Sierra defended, "Plus I want to be a villain this time! Come on Eva! You can be the strength of our little villainous trio! I'm the brains and Amy is our meat shield!"
Eva's facial expression didn't shift in the slightest. "No." she told her. "I will not become a Heather."
Sierra groaned in frustration. "Not a Heather!" she shouted. "You can be a schemer and still be nice. It's just kind of fun!"
Eva scoffed and walked off on her own. "Well. That could've gone better." Sierra muttered to herself before feeling a tap on her shoulder. "I hope that's you Eva even though you just walked off in the other direction.." The scene shifted to Sierra being tossed into the cell with a flustered Amy and Brick.
/
"Sky's kind of rude, eh." Ezekiel mumbled to himself while walking along. "I should just find a hiding spot until the end of the challenge. Gotta make sure my team doesn't lose for as long as possible."
"Why are you talking to yourself?" Topher asked, appearing out of nowhere.
"Gah!" Ezekiel jumped in shock. "I don't know, eh! Why are you just creeping around?"
Topher shrugged before smiling. "Y'know, it's Total Drama history that you weren't voted off first! Congratulations, man!"
Ezekiel sighed. "What do you want, eh?"
"Listen," Topher started, "I was thinking about forming a cross team alliance."
Ezekiel perked up at the suggestion. "That could actually work, who else were you thinking?"
Topher shrugged. "Staci could probably be easy to convince to alliance with us. From the girls team I was thinking maybe Lindsay and Eva. They seemed pretty shocked at Dakota's elimination."
Ezekiel nodded enthusiastically. "I'm in, eh!"
(Confessionals)
"I'm going to make it far, eh! Topher's got my back!" Ezekiel claimed, very excited.
xx
Topher grinned mischievously. "My plan is to get all the rejects together. That way I can just toss them away when I'm done without anyone ever knowing. Zeke still has a lot to learn about reality TV."
(End of Confessional)
After walking away from Topher, Ezekiel hummed happily to himself. A shadow rose up in front of him stopping him dead in his tracks. "Uh oh." the farm boy let out before the scene shifted to him being thrown into the cell.
/
Justin was walking faster and faster trying to get away from Staci, annoyed by her constant talking and flirting. Staci somehow kept pace with the model. They eventually reached the courtyard.
"Slow down!" Staci called after him. "Yah, this is so exhausting."
"Your stories are becoming exhausting!" Justin finally snapped causing the blabbermouth to flinch. Justin sighed, feeling slightly bad. "Look, Staci. Your stories are really cool and they make you a super interesting person."
"I know, so they aren't exhausting!" Staci defended.
"Well it's just, no one likes someone who brags constantly." Justin explained, "Constantly telling your family's accomplishments make them less special so you have to save them for the right time."
"Ohhh." Staci nodded along with his explanation. "You're so smart, yah!"
Justin smirked, finally happy to be rid of her stories.
"That was a nice moment, you two." Chef said rising between them. Both of the teens made a run for it and Chef could only chase one. "Get back here, pretty boy!" Chef quickly caught up to Justin and tackled him, taking him out of the challenge.
(Confessional)
Justin sat there smugly. "Sure, I was taken out of the challenge, but I was able to get Staci to stop being annoying while also keeping her wrapped around my finger."
(End of Confessional)
Dave and Dawn were sitting down at a cafeteria table. "Listen, Dave. This is going to be hard to hear, but I am only trying to help, okay?" the aura whisperer told the germaphobe.
Dave nodded, slightly scared of what was about to be said to him.
"You became very obsessive back in Pahkitew Island." Dave flinched at Dawn's words. "I can see in your aura you have a very obsessive personality. I know you've only ever meant well, but you just weren't emotionally mature enough for that kind of relationship. I think you're a good person, Dave but you need to move on. You can't let this rivalry hold you down forever."
The germaphobe sat there looking stunned. "Y-you're right." he finally said. "I have a lot of anxieties and other problems that I've began working on since Pahkitew Island. I guess seeing Sky really caused me to relapse." Dave explained.
The aura whisperer patted him on his shoulder. "I understand. I believe in you. You can push past this. Now, I believe I am needed elsewhere." Dawn stood up and walked out of the cafeteria, leaving a stunned Dave behind.
(Confessional)
Dave sat there with his head in his hands. "She's completely right." he shook his head. "I'm just as much in the wrong as Sky is, maybe more so. I should try to make things right."
(End of Confessional)
Dawn walked out of the cafeteria and instantly bumped into Staci who looked like she had seen a ghost. "Greetings Staci, just the girl I wanted to see." the aura whisperer greeted.
Staci panted for a bit before looking up at the smaller girl. "You wanted to see me?"
"Yeah." Dawn nodded. "I wanted to talk to you about your lying."
"What lying?" Staci asked cautiously.
"About your family." Dawn replied.
Staci was taken aback, "How dare you accuse me of lying about my family!" the blabbermouth shouted. "You have no idea what you're talking about!"
Dawn put her hand on Staci's shoulder. "Staci, you're plenty interesting without the stories." the nature girl assured. "I know you started them because you were lonely and you like telling stories, but use that amazing brain of yours to become an author or a poet or something. You don't need to lie to make friends."
Tears started rolling down Staci's eyes. "You really don't know what you're talking about! J-Justin likes my stories! You're the one without any friends!" Staci shouted, before pushing past Dawn and running down the hallway. Dawn sighed before being grabbed by Chef.
(Confessionals)
"That didn't go as well as I hoped." Dawn said in the confessional. "I just really don't understand social interaction too much, but I want to help. At least Dave seemed to take it well."
xx
"That freak is going home the first chance I get! I know Justin will vote with me!" Staci said, before sniffling.
(End of Confessionals)
Jay and Mickey hid in a random cell in the prison, sure that they were good there. Mickey seemed pretty content with the situation, but Jay looked extremely bored.
"This is going great." Mickey said confidently.
"I'm bored." Jay replied, plainly. "I think I want to go walk around the prison some."
Mickey gasped. "Are you insane!? You never know what could hurt you out there!" Mickey stood up quickly to walk over to his brother, but appeared woozy and fell over. "Oh boy, I stood up too fast."
"Look, Mickey." Jay looked at his brother sternly. "I didn't join Total Drama to be scared anymore! We proved on the race we could really do anything! I want to have fun and make friends!"
"Fine." the timid brother snapped, "Go make some friends! Forget about unfun me!"
Jay rolled his eyes. "That was not the implication at all. We can make friends together and win this game, Mickey!" Mickey couldn't do anything but shake his head in disappointment.
"You both should really be more quiet when disagreeing in the middle of a challenge." Chef said before grabbing both of them by their hood. The scene cut to show both of them being thrown into the cell with Brick, Amy, Ezekiel, Justin, and Dawn.
/
Duncan walked around for awhile before finally bumping into Sam. "Oh hey, Sam." Duncan greeted. "Thank god I ran into you, I was getting really bored."
"Yeah this challenge is really boring." the nerd replied.
"How are you holding up with Dakota being kicked off?" The delinquent asked.
"Not well." Sam confessed, "but I'll be okay. I didn't know you were so nice."
Duncan tensed up and glared at the gamer. "Look." Duncan started before taking a deep breath. "I'm not nice. I get your pain though. Back in season one it sucked when Courtney was eliminated. I saw the look in your eye. You want to get revenge, right?" Sam nodded. "I'll help you get it." Duncan finished.
"Why would you help me?" Sam asked.
Duncan shrugged. "Look, I need allies if I'm going to stick around. The boot licker has been pissing me off and I want to be able to vote him out when given the chance."
"Ah so you help me and I help you." Sam nodded, "I can do that."
Duncan shook the gamer's hand and the two separated.
/
Dave was still sitting in the cafeteria when Sky entered. They locked eyes and Sky glared and began to walk out. "Sky wait!" Dave called after her, running up.
"What Dave." She snarled at him.
"I just-" Dave began, "I- I just wanted to say I was sorry."
Sky was shocked. "I wasn't expecting that."
"I was awful back in Pahkitew Island. I had a lot of issues going on that I really needed to work through before even thinking about getting in that kind of relationship. I just want to move forward we were both shitty to each other and I just want to move on." Dave said, finally taking a breath after saying all of that.
"We were both shitty? I wasn't shitty at all!" Sky declared, "I thought you were finally changing, but turns out you're still your evil self." the athlete finished.
"Wait that's not true! Just think abou-" Dave tried to say before being cut off by a slap.
"Never speak to me again, Dave." Sky growled before storming out of the cafeteria, running right into Chef Hatchet. "Oh no." The scene cut to Sky being thrown into the cell with the others.
Dawn looked over at her. "Your aura is very telling, right now." she told her.
(Confessional)
"What is his problem?" Sky demanded, "The entire situation was only his fault! What was Dawn talking about in that cell?"
(End of Confessional)
Lindsay and Ella had been chatting all night and Lindsay began to explain her theory to the fairy princess. "I think you were manipulated by Sierra."
"No, I don't think so!" Ella defended, "She's my friend! Plus I could see how miserable Dakota was"
Lindsay nodded, "I do think she's genuinely your friend. It's not like her to be manipulative but I see no other explanation."
"I don't know." Ella said. "I'll be careful around her, I promise." Lindsay smiled at the girl, but the two were snuck up on by Chef and both were quickly captured.
/
Staci was sitting alone when Topher popped up next to her, startling her. "Hey!" The host wannabe greeted. "I was thinking about forming a cross team alliance to get me and a few others further. You want in?"
The blabbermouth considered the proposition thoughtfully. "Yah, I think that's a good idea! Who else is in it?"
"So far it's just Ezekiel and I." Topher replied.
"Oh! Yah that's good! He understands what it's like to go out early like me." The blabbermouth chattered, excitedly. As the two began to separate Chef appeared and grabbed them both.
/
Duncan was taking a casual stroll through the halls of the prison when he spotted Chef at the end. The army veteran began sprinting towards Duncan who took off, weaving in and out of hallways. Right as he thought he was about to escape he bumped into the last person he wanted to: Sam. "Crap!" Duncan shouted as Chef came upon the two boys.
"Thanks for leading me to your last teammate, delinquent." Chef taunted.
"L-last?" Sam groaned.
The shot cut to both boys being thrown into the cell with all the other captured contestants. "Look at that!" Chris' voice rang out over the intercoms. "It seems as if all the Masculine Manatees were captured! They'll be voting someone else tonight. You guys should begin strategizing." Hearing this news, Dave came to investigate the holding cell and was immediately grabbed by Chef and thrown in. "And with that, The Feminine Flamingos win the Warden's Quarters!"
Sky punched Dave in his shoulder. "Great job throwing away the prize like that!"
"Ouch! I forgot." Dave groaned, miserably. Dawn patted his shoulder to comfort him.
(Confessionals)
"Damn it!" Duncan facepalmed. "Brick is going to find some way to blame me for this."
xx
Brick had his arms crossed in the confessional. "Duncan lost us that challenge by leading Chef to Sam! This will be a good chance to convince my team to vote him off." the cadet barked.
xx
"I won't be voting for Duncan." Sam explained, "He's the only one who's expressed any sympathy for me so far. I thought he was supposed to be a villain?"
xx
Topher chuckled. "I think I know exactly who's getting tossed into the dungeon this episode."
xx
Jay and Mickey glanced at each other worriedly. "Well, it's our first elimination. Surely we'll both be fine if we vote for Duncan." Mickey explained.
"Yeah." Jay nodded. "Brick is definitely voted for him, so at the very least it'll be a tie."
(End of Confessionals)
The scene quickly transitioned to show the six Masculine Manatees standing in front of the electric chair with Chris. The Feminine Flamingos stood to the left of the chair, while the Androgynous Aardvarks stood to the right. "Welcome to your first elimination of the season Manatees." Chris McLean said. "I have five marshmallows for you and if you don't get one, you'll be taking the electric chair of shame right into the dungeon!"
Jay groaned, "Can we just get this over with, please?" he pleaded
Chris shrugged. "Safe with no votes: Jay, Topher, and Sam!"
"Nice!" Sam cheered, "I honestly was kind of worried heheh."
Jay sighed in relief. "Me too, buddy."
"Not getting rid of me that easily, McLean!" Topher exclaimed.
"The rest of you got votes." The host explained to the last three. None of the three looked surprised, but Brick and Mickey looked especially worried. Duncan didn't seem to care. "The next marshmallow goes to... Brick!"
The cadet caught his marshmallow and Duncan suddenly got a panicked look on his face, realizing that Brick had beaten him. "Wait!" The delinquent said, "You guys really voted me off!?" he stood up angrily.
"The final marshmallow goes to...

...Duncan!" the host announced.
"WHAT!?" both Duncan and Mickey exclaimed.
Sam gasped too. "I thought for sure Duncan or Brick were going!"
"I thought I was doing so well! Duncan cost us the challenge!" Mickey cried. "How did this happen? Brick did you turn on us!?"
Brick shook his head adamantly. "No! We should have had a tie at the very least."
Mickey went wide eyed as he snapped his attention towards Jay who cast his gaze down in shame. "J-Jay?" his voice cracked, "Did you vote me off?"
"Let me explain!" Jay said in a panic.

A flashback showed Jay and Mickey sitting in the cafeteria strategizing. Mickey went up to go use the restroom and Topher quickly moved in to take his place. "Hey Jay." the host wannabe started. "I can't help but notice that your brother doesn't give you much breathing room."
The optimistic twin sighed, "Yeah, it's been kind of exhausting honestly."
"I think your brother just isn't cut out for this kind of game." Topher explained. "I can pull some strings and get him voted off. I just need you to vote for him as well."
"Vote for my brother?" Jay asked. "I don't think I could ever do that to him."
After a long silence, Topher finally said, "Well just give it some thought. If you want to be able to play your own game you're going to have to do this."
The flashback faded back to the present.
/
"You see, Mickey? You were strangling me! You know how much I love this show and want to play it.." Jay explained miserably.
"I... understand." Mickey finally said. "I know how important this is to you. I just wish you would've said something instead of voting me off."
"I'm so sorry." the optimistic twin replied.
"There's nothing you can do now." Mickey said. "You better win this."
Chris coughed very loudly. "This is great and all, but Mickey you have a chair to sit on. I'm glad to be getting rid of one of you gross racers this early."
"Shut up, asshole." Mickey said, taking a chair. "Don is a much better host than you." Chris very quickly and angrily smashed the button, letting it electrocute Mickey a lot longer than Dakota, before it finally stopped and threw him back into the dungeon.
"No one is a better host than me!" Chris declared, still fuming. He turned to the remaining sixteen contestants. "Get out of my site, now! Before I decide to eliminate more of you!" All of the contestants scrambled out of the room very quickly. Chris turned to the camera and tried to cool himself off with some deep breaths. "We go from Sam being mad to me being mad. Will Jay regret his decision to get his brother eliminated? Will Sky and Dave ever stop being babies? How will the Sierra and Amy alliance go now that Lindsay is talking to Ella? Find out next time on Total! Drama! Breakout!"
The Votes
Sam was thoughtfully staring at the slip of paper before finally writing down Brick. "You're a really great guy, but I need Duncan to stay longer to help get revenge for Dakota. Sorry."
Topher clapped, very excited. "Okay! I'm a genius! I've talked to Duncan and Jay and I know for a fact I've gotten Duncan's vote onto Mickey. Now I just need to hope for Jay to pull through. Maybe I should've talked to Sam... If this works Jay will be open for an alliance and I can start running this team." He wrote down Mickey.
"Well." Duncan began, "if that host wannabe is telling me the only way to keep me around is to vote for Mickey, I should vote for Mickey. I wish I had time to fill in Sam though." he wrote down Mickey.
Brick stood looking sternly into the camera and wrote down Duncan without much of a thought. "You're not good for the team, cadet."
Mickey walked in and wrote down Duncan. "I'm sorry, but this is best for Jay and I."
Jay slumped in the voted booth looking miserable. "I should just write down Duncan. The bully goes home and then Mickey and I can go on the win the game. Maybe even voting for Brick if I don't want to vote Duncan. There is no world where I should vote my twin brother out of this game. That Topher alliance really looked good though..." he sighed and wrote down Mickey.

Author's Note:
There's the second episode! I'll be honest, the end of this episode I really struggled to finish. I find it hard to write when I have less and less contestants to write for so I was worried I wasn't going to be able to publish a chapter anytime soon, but I pushed through and finished it. The quality might have suffered, but I'll try to write challenges that don't kill my motivation in the future. Leave challenge suggestions in the reviews, if you'd like. I really enjoy writing for Dave and Sky, but I'm not entirely sure where that plotline is going. I don't want to drag it on for too long, but I don't know where it's going to end.
The power struggle between Duncan and Brick is going to keep going for at least a little bit longer, but losing Mickey is definitely going to put Brick on the back foot. Duncan has Sam in his corner, but Jay and Topher are kind of free agents right now. Although Topher did just save Duncan... but Topher seems to have a bigger, cross team plan going on.
Lindsay has also told Ella to watch out for Sierra. How will that shape up?
Anyways, what we've all been waiting for. Why Mickey? I'll be honest, neither of the twins were in the original story, but I thought they'd be really fun to write. However, after writing the first episode and half of the second episode I realized something. I don't know how to write for Mickey and I don't think I'm doing his character justice. That lead me to the conclusion to eliminate him second and push who was supposed to be eliminated in this episode into the future. I'm sorry Mickey fans, but if you want a story where the twins are written really well I'd go check out Total Drama Malibu by TDFan2077. I'm really enjoying how they're being characterized in that story.
Here's some questions before you go.
1. How'd you enjoy the challenge?
2. What was your favorite character interactions?
3. Are you sad that Mickey was given the boot?
4. The main antagonist still hasn't been chosen, if there will be one. Although Topher has started making moves.
5. Who do you think will be the next boot?
