Something inspired by Aragorn II Elessar's 'The Slayer taken down by a kitty'

Disclaimer: I do not own Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.

"You think we can leave Miss Kitty alone here?" Buffy asked as they were preparing to leave.

"Ah, we left her alone at our dorm all the time, she'll be fine." Willow assured.

"Dawnie!" Tara called, while Dawn was practicing her aim with the crossbow.

"Coming!" Dawn yelled before she put the crossbow on a stand and then knelt down, rubbing Miss Kitty along the back.

"Be a nice kitty until we get back." Tara said before they left.

Miss Kitty was walking down the house here and there until she crawled to the stand on which was the crossbow and pressed the trigger, firing the bolt, which triggered a spontaneous chain reaction.

The bolt hit the lamp stand as it toppled, hitting the blinds and curtains as they fell off the windows and caused for the table to flip and hit a bookcase as it toppled and hit the cupboard as it wobbled, dropping to the floor clothes and dishes, shattering them and scattering the fragments on the floor, while the cupboard falling but stopped, with a lamp hanging on it and cord attached to the wall socket but was detaching before it fell and crashed, but Miss Kitty was unharmed as she wasn't hit by the cupboard shelves.

Buffy, Willow, Tara and Dawn entered but their eyes widened in shock and their jaws fell hanging open when they saw the living room trashed, while Miss Kitty crawled out of the debris.

"I can't believe this happened when you left a crossbow lying around." Tara muttered after they had cleaned up the mess and put Miss Kitty in a pet carrier.

"How was I supposed to know this would happen?" Dawn protested before she looked saddened. "Do we really have to send Miss Kitty away?"

"I don't like it either but we don't want this happening again." Willow said, fondling Dawn's hair.

"Can you imagine if she'd shot one of us?" Tara asked and Buffy shuddered at the mental image.

"Don't worry, she's going to stay with good people. Jody and her adopted daughters Claire and Alex, they're around your age, Dawnie and they're a nice family." Willow assured.

"We can come visit her from time to time or maybe when we move, we can either get another kitty or ask Jody to return Miss Kitty to us." Tara said.

"OK." Dawn said sadly.

"And I think I should put the crossbows in a better place next time." Buffy muttered as she began cleaning up the mess as Dawn winced.

I hope Supernatural fans will appreciate the small Easter egg, an idea from Aragorn II Elessar's 'When Heroes live their lives', with Miss Kitty Fantastico also being sent away and adopted after the crossbow incident to Jeremy and Anna, a Vampire Diaries Easter egg too.

So there are some theories about what had happened with Willow's and Tara's pet Miss Kitty Fantastico, except for Dawn's comment in 'End of Days'

"I told you, I don't leave crossbows around all willy-nilly. Not since that time with Miss Kitty Fantastico."

Now that can be interpreted in several ways though certain fanbase hating on Dawn, who are just idiots, use that as an excuse to throw shade on her and it's just going into irrational proportions.

I like Dawn overall and while I am annoyed by her share of messes that she had caused, like running her mouth and unintentionally inviting Harmony in or trying to resurrect Joyce and then there's her kleptomania or Halfrek tricking Dawn into making a wish, most of Dawn's mishaps, considering her age at the time, should be understandable, given that she was a teenager, felt abandoned and neglected at the time or was unable to cope with losing Joyce, so I can cut her some slack, since I like her despite her flaws, even more than Buffy mostly, frankly.

Plus, if Dawn really killed Miss Kitty by accident with the crossbow, then the mother/daughter bond she has with Willow and Tara would be non-existent.

So, what do you guys think?

Please review and let me know if you have enjoyed this one-shot.
