Enjoy the chapter. Any and all comments are welcome.

This was it. It was time for my debut match in the WWE. For the past week, I've been training, working out, and studying my opponent's previous bouts, all in preparation for my match against Cora Jade. I already knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I wasn't going to back down.

While I was putting on my outfit in the locker room, I looked up at the TV. The NXT Women's champion, Mandy Rose, had just defended her title against Candice LeRay. After her celebration, the show cut to my upcoming opponent doing a backstage interview.

"So Cora," the reporter said, "Your upcoming match against Carly X is coming up next. Do you…"

"I'm gonna stop you right there." Cora interrupted. "This isn't going to be a match. It's going to be child abuse. I'm going to show that kid that she doesn't belong here."

"Are you sure?" the reporter asked. "After all, she did make it to the finals of the Mae Young Classic."

"Yeah, but she didn't win it." Cora said. "Clearly, all previous wins of hers were flukes. She lost to the old generation, and tonight, she's going to fall to the Generation of Jade."

Cora walked away leaving the reporter speechless. The backstage segment ended leaving me peeved. Every word Cora said just gave me more motivation to beat her.

Finally, my moment came. As soon as Cherry Bomb began to play, I ran right out of the backstage area and embraced the cheers from the WWE Universe. Throughout the arena, many of my fans applauded and chanted my name as I headed to the ring and the announcer made his statement.

"The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Making her way to the ring, the Stylish Tiger… CARLY X!"

When I entered the ring, I climbed up the turnbuckles and pumped my arms up to earn the chants of the crowd. I went to another corner and did the same. I stopped and turned to the stage to await my opponent.

Cora Jade's music played and she made her appearance. Like before, she wore her baseball cap backwards on her long, black hair. She also wore her black two-piece along with her fishnet stockings that connected with her black boots. She carried her bat over her shoulders on the way to the ring.

"And her opponent… CORA JADE!"

When Cora was ready, she removed her hat and set both it and her bat in her corner. We faced each other eager to start. As soon as the referee made sure we were ready, he signaled for the bell.

DING-DING!

We started off with a classic collar-and-elbow tie-up in the center of the ring. Cora managed to push hard enough to drive me to the corner. She kept her forearm pressed at me while the referee counted. As soon as he reached four, she let me go, just before delivering a forearm bash at me. As I was stunned, Cora walked over to the middle of the ring and ran at me with another attack. But before she could connect, I launched a kick up to stop her. She was knocked back, which gave me the chance I needed to run at her and hit her with a double-knee facebuster. As she fell, I covered her for the pin.

1…

Cora managed to kick out. I picked Cora up, but she pushed me away. I ran after her for a big boot, but she sidestepped and tripped me over making me land on my face. Cora landed her knee right on my back making me grunt loudly as I felt the sting. She stood back up and brushed her hands mockingly.

"This is your Stylish Tiger?" Cora asked the crowd pointing at me. "She's just a cub!"

Cora picked me up and hooked her arm around my head. She then lifted me up by the waist and launched me back with a vertical suplex. As soon as my body made impact with the mat, she hooked my leg.

1… 2…

I managed to kick out of that. Cora was not happy. She grabbed my hair and pulled me up to my knees where she proceeded to drive her elbow straight at my chest. She then grabbed my arms and pulled them back behind me while her knee was pressed at my back. I yelled in pain and struggled to get out, but Cora kept me in place.

"Give up!" Cora yelled into my ear. "You don't belong here! This is the Generation of Jade!"

I certainly wasn't going to let her get away with that, so I pulled my arms away. With all my strength, I manage to power myself into a position where I could freely stand back up to my feet. I then finished securing my freedom by launching my foot behind me and kicking Cora away.

Cora stopped at the ropes and I capitalized with a knee strike to her stomach. She fell on her hands and knees. I then ran to the ropes and bounced back to her. Once I was close enough, I jumped up and stomped on Cora's back making her slam to the mat. I knew her legs were close to the ropes, so I hooked both of them as I pinned her.

1… 2…

Cora broke out, but I took the time to head to the corner to rest myself. I kept my eye on Cora as she returned to her feet. When she did, I joined up with her at the center. She growled at my direction and fired a forearm attack at me, but I stopped it and countered with one of my one. She fired another, but like before I blocked it. I then countered with a kick to her stomach. I grabbed her in a facelock preparing for the DDT-X. However, Cora stopped me by punching my sides. I loosened her enough for her to push me away from her.

After getting free, Cora grabbed my arm and Irish whipped me to the rope. When I ran back, Cora prepared a lariat. However, I ducked and continued running to the ropes. By the time she turned to me, I made it to launch a knee strike to her face. She stumbled and fell on her back. I covered her for the pin.

1… 2…

Cora again broke out of the pin. I was beginning to lose breath, which allowed Cora the chance she needed to crawl back to her original corner. When I stood back up, Cora did the same holding up her signature baseball bat. I could see the anger in her eyes. She was ready to break me, even if it would cost her the win.

Cora roared and swung her bat. Luckily, I ducked. When Cora turned back for another swing, I stopped her with a kick to her stomach to make her drop the bat. I trapped her in a front facelock and finally got my chance. I jumped up into the air and landed back down landing my DDT-X. I hooked Cora's leg confident in my win.

1… 2… 3!

DING-DING!

Cherry Bomb played giving me a sense of relief and pride. I picked myself up allowing the referee to lift my hand up.

"Here is your winner… CARLY X!"

The fans were certainly loving what they saw. I could hear the cheers and claps from their applause. I smiled at my first ever win. Of course, it was short-lived.

The hard metal that struck hard on my back and sent me down made me realize not to let my guard down so easily. I looked up and saw the furious face of Cora Jade as she towered over me with her bat in her hands.

"THAT WAS A FLUKE! YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!" Cora ranted as she shot her bat down on my back several more times. With each attack, I felt myself getting closer to breaking down. Then, the attacks stopped.

I looked back up and saw a woman who just ran from the ramp and attacking Cora Jade. She mounted on her and hit her with several strikes to her face. Though my back was killing me, I powered through the pain to get up and take a better look at my savior. It was my delight that it was none other than Cora's former friend-turned-enemy, Roxanne Perez.

Cora escaped Roxanne's onslaught and escaped from the ring. Roxanne could have went after her, but instead, she came to me and helped me back up. We both looked at Cora who was frustrated at the two of us. Once she had left the stage, it was our turn to make room for the next match.

"There you go." Roxanne said as she eased me down to a locker room bench. "Are you okay?"

I reached back to rub my hand on my sore back. "Not really, but I'll sleep it off. Thanks for the save."

"Hey. I know more than anyone how Cora is." Roxanne said. "Don't forget, she betrayed me."

I nodded in agreement. I remembered those days when she and Cora were best friends and co-champions of the NXT Tag Team titles. But after winning the Breakout Tournament, Roxanne wanted to cash in her contract for an NXT Women's Championship match. Instead of supporting her friend, Cora betrayed her, costed her the match, and literally threw the Tag Team titles in the trash. Those two have hated each other ever since.

"So what now?" Carly X asked. "Clearly, I made my mark here, but I doubt Cora's going to be done with me."

"Don't worry." Roxanne assured. "I've got your back."

I smiled at Roxanne's promise. It looked like things were finally looking up for me.
