Wolf rubbed his gloved hands together as Delta, and assorted family members, made it into the lobby of the lodge. Looking around, he immediately spied several people attired from head to foot in winter wear, carrying skies. He turned back to the group. "What are we doing first? Ski? Snowshoe? Make snowpeople?"
"Take a nap," Danny replied from where he had crashed in a chair while Kara checked them in, Frankie held firmly on his lap. "The kid was awake all night crying."
Ignoring Green's bitching, Wolf looked to Carlton, who was shaking his head. "I'm headed to the jacuzzi, man. After four months in the Arctic, and then two months driving from Chicago to Billings delivering the cure, I've seen enough snow to last a lifetime."
Wolf turned to Miller. "Skiing or sledding? Pick your poison."
"Actually, I don't ski," Miller admitted. "I planned to sit by the fire and drink hot chocolate."
Green snorted. "I'm giving Taylor a pass because I'm not even sure that there is snow in Australia but aren't you from Iowa? "
"I can, but, I mean, it's cold and..." Eric stumbled through an explanation.
"No worries, mate. We can learn together," Wolf replied, ignoring Miller's horrified face.
Sasha laughed, looping her arm through Wolf's. "Come on, Taylor. Skiing might be a little too much for a first try, but I'm pretty sure that even an Aussie can learn to sled."
"Is everyone going sledding?" Kara asked, having apparently finished checking them in. She looked over at her husband, who kept his eyes stubbornly closed. "I want to get pictures of Frankie in his new snowsuit. My little Arctic bunny."
"I thought that was Green," Alisha replied tartly, receiving an immediate high-five from Azima. From his seat, Danny flipped them the bird without opening his eyes.
"Here's the plan," Sasha announced. "Fun people who want to go outside, bundle up and meet us here in..." She checked her watch, "fifteen minutes."
"Crayon eaters can take a nap," Wolf added, drawing another middle finger from Danny.
Fifteen minutes later, every member of Delta Team — even Danny — as well as Kara, Frankie, and Alisha, were in the lodge lobby dressed in Arctic gear. Miller was nowhere to be seen.
Sasha grinned at Wolf. "My bet is that you don't last fifteen minutes before you're begging to come inside and drink hot chocolate with Miller."
He grinned back. "You're on."
