Frankie leaned towards Kaito, his voice low. "We have to set a trap."

"Yes," Kaito nodded very seriously. "Like our daddies do. So that he can't get inside."

"And steal our presents!" Logan added.

Mark frowned, pulling his thumb out of his mouth. "Why does the Grinch want our gifts?"

Frankie sighed. Little brothers were so annoying, and he had two of them already. Hopefully Mom was joking when she said the new baby was a boy too. "Because he's the Grinch, Mark. That's what he does. He steals presents."

Mark frowned, and Frankie thought he was going to ask more questions, but then Mark shrugged. "What kind of trap?"

All four boys sat in silence for a few minutes, then Frankie sat up. "I know just what to do!"

The next morning, Kara walked into the kitchen, Stevie on her hip. Just then the baby kicked, and Stevie kicked back. Kara sighed, staring up at the ceiling. "Dear lord, they're starting already."

Deciding that coffee was a definite necessity, Kara set Stevie in his highchair and grabbed the jug to fill the coffee maker. She turned on the faucet but, instead of filling the jug as expected, she got sprayed directly in the face. Reaching blindly, Kara managed to turn off the water and then stood, water dripping from her face and hair and arms, as Stevie laughed hysterically. Glancing towards the sink, she saw the elastic holding the water sprayer in the on position.

She took one calming breath, then another, before yelling. "Frankie Daniel Green! You get in here right this minute!"

Footsteps pounded down the floor as first Frankie, then Mark, and finally Danny appeared in the doorway. All of them staring at Kara. Then Frankie threw up his hands. "Mom! That trap was for the Grinch! You need to be more careful."

Kara blinked, staring at her oldest child. "The Grinch?"

"Yes, so he doesn't steal our presents," Mark added, very seriously, before popping a thumb back in his mouth.

Kara let that sink in. "Are there more of these traps?"

"Well, yes," Frankie admitted, apparently seeming to have caught on to the fact that his mother was not happy.

"You know," Danny said quickly, unstrapping Stevie from his highchair. "Today seems like a great day to eat breakfast out. Why don't we wait in the car while you get ready, Kara."

As they disappeared, Kara took another deep breath. Dear god, what was she going to do with four of them?
