So, yesterday, I have finally watched WandaVision and if I'm being honest, the show is great for the most part. The first half of the show is really strong, with Wanda dealing grief and anger for losing her lover, Vision, during the events of Infinity War and how it uses the concept of the sitcoms as a means to escape from her problems. The second half of the show, however, is not so great, as it basically becomes a typical MCU product, with the inclusion of a CGI fight battle that looked very mediocre, and it loses the uniqueness the first half had. Still, for the first Disney+ show, it's not that bad and I would recommend anyone to watch it.

When I read "The Devil on her shoulder" by Aragorn II Elessar and learned about his theory of Mephisto creating smaller, less powerful versions of himself in each universe, I was very intrigued by the concept and I created my own theory surrounding it: When Sylvie kills He Who Remains and frees the Sacred Timeline at the end of Loki's first season, she inadvertently paved the way for Mephisto's arrival on the Prime Universe and setting the stage for WandaVision, No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness. While I do respect the writers' decision not to include him, most of the multiverse arc felt a bit disjointed and I wanted to solve that issue.

This story takes place chronologically after "Avengers: Endgame" and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" and is set during the flashbacks of "WandaVision", after Wanda left the S.W.O.R.D. headquarters and before she heads to Westview. This will also serve as a prelude to a story I'm planning on doing called "Fate of The Multiverse".

Disclaimer: I do not own the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Ghost Rider. It belongs to Marvel Studios, Stan Lee and Kevin Feige.

Outside S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters

Shortly after breaking into the S.W.O.R.D. headquarters to locate Vision's corpse and being unable to bring him back, Wanda Maximoff left the facility and headed to her car. As she revved the engine, Wanda turned around and saw a letter besides her. She then took the letter, pulled out a piece of paper and slowly opened it to reveal the Westview property deed. She recalled Vision planning to move to the small town of Westview, New Jersey with her shortly after their names were cleared from the Sokovia Accords, but unfortunately, Vision's death at the hands of Thanos destroyed all hopes of that. Ever since she returned from the Decimation and helped to defeat an alternate Thanos, Wanda struggled to move on from her lover's death and kept having nightmares about him every day. Even the support she received from Clint Barton and his family wasn't enough to make her move on.

However, when she received the letter containing the property deed and learned the location of Vision's body from a friend of Clint yesterday, she thought she could honor Vision and give him a proper funeral, as he didn't get one following his death in Wakanda. However, when she entered the facility and found out that Director Tyler Hayward and his team were dismantling him for their own purposes, she was devastated to learn that she could never gain his body and honor his sacrifice. Perhaps Hayward was right. Perhaps it was too late.

As she continued to look at the deed, Wanda suddenly heard demonic laughter and gasped in fear as she looked around her car. When the laughter disappeared, Wanda exhaled and revved the engine of the car as she began to drive away from S.W.O.R.D.'s facility.

As she drove away into the unknown, Wanda suddenly saw the skies turning grey and began to cloud the road. As she noticed the cloudy mist blocking the road, Wanda got out of her car and saw her vision obscured by the ominous cloud as she found it difficult to see the road through this mist. As she was trying to figure out her surroundings, Wanda found herself lost, unable to see what was going on behind the fog.

"Hello, Wanda."

Suddenly, Wanda turned around and saw a mysterious figure wielding a skull-shaped walking crane standing next to her. He had the appearance of a tall, elderly man with greying hair and blue eyes and wearing a casual suit with a trenchcoat and black gloves. The man had a malicious smirk on his face.

"How do you know who I am?" Wanda asked as she activated her powers and stood in her fighting position.

"Do not be afraid. I am not here to fight you." The mysterious man assured Wanda as he witnessed her lowering her powers and calming down. "I've watched how you broke down to the facility and tried to bring the love of your life back home, to honor his legacy, but these people couldn't let you do so. They took away the only person that you cared about the most and they deserve nothing but the worst."

"What do you want from me?" Wanda asked as she was frightened by the man's demeanor.

"What do I want?" The man said as he let out a dry chuckle. "No, no, no. The question is: What do you want?"

Wanda's expression fazed as she found herself intimidated by the man's chilling voice when he started to walk towards her with his cane.

"You see, my dear, you've always been so alone, so sad, so miserable. Overwhelmed by grief and sorrow." The man approached Wanda and reached out to whisper in her ear. "What if I can change all of that?"

"Who are you?' Wanda asked, now curious to hear what this person needed to say.

"Let's just say I'm a friend." The man replied as he continued to whisper into Wanda's ear. "I am the only person who can make your suffering go all away. I can give you the life you've always wanted. You can start a family on your own. Your own personal paradise, where none of these awful people will ever bother you again, and if anyone threatens to destroy it, they will pay the price."

Wanda recalled how much she wanted to escape from the troubles of her life; she had suffered more than any human being could have, having lost her parents during the bombing of her family's house at the age of ten, losing her brother, Pietro, during the Battle of Sokovia and losing Vision during the fight against Thanos. If this person walking in front of her knew her suffering well and promised to take it all away, she would have had no choice but to accept his offer.

"In exchange for what?" Wanda asked.

"Your soul." The man inquired as he raised his hand to Wanda, expecting her to shake it.

Wanda was hesitant to shake this person's hand. Although he promised her to give the perfect life she's always wanted and take away her suffering, she wasn't sure if she could accept the offer. She knew if she shook his hand, her life would not be the same ever again. After much reluctance, Wanda relented and shook the man's hand. The man let out a small laugh.

"Excellent." The man said. "There is no turning back now, Wanda. Your life has just begun."

Just as she stopped shaking the man's hand, Wanda saw the man disappear right in front of her. She then looked around the road and realized that the fog had also disappeared. Still confused about what just happened, Wanda opened the door to her car and revved the engine, driving away from the site.

Westview, New Jersey

A few days later, Wanda arrived in the small town of Westview, where she decided to head to the property deed purchased by her and Vision. Still reeling from her conversation with the mysterious person, Wanda reflected on the man's words and the deal he offered her. She had always wanted to escape from her problems, but she still couldn't wrap her head around what had happened the last few days. Was it a dream? Or just a strange imagination?

As she drove through the streets, Wanda passed through a man who crossed the street in front of her, before she saw a man named Harold Proctor putting up an advertisement for piano lessons and later saw an elderly woman sitting at a coffee table, taking a sip from her coffee. After driving around the streets, Wanda finally arrived at the property that she and Vision bought together and pulled her car into the driveway.

Wanda got out of the car and walked further into the property, seeing nothing but an empty ground that was under construction. As she stood still in the ground, she pulled out the deed from her jacket pocket and looked at it again, seeing a heart-shaped drawing on the property's place and the words "To die old in". As she walked onto the ground, Wanda's emotions began getting the best of her as she began experiencing all of the painful moments in her life and fell to her knees, beginning to cry as the deed fell from her hand.

Then, Wanda let out a scream that unleashed a colossal amount of red aura magic through her body as she saw a house being constructed around her. Then, the aura then spread into the entire town like a tidal wave, transforming the town into a retro-themed setting, giving the aesthetic of a fictional town from a 50s sitcom. As she kept unleashing her power, a burst of yellow aura came out of her energy field, giving life to an artificial being who resembled Vision. Once she stopped unleashing her powers, Wanda lowered her head and took a deep breath, before turning around and looking at the newly mad being. She could not believe what she had just seen.

As she began taking steps, Wanda's attire changed to fit the setting's aesthetic, turning her into a 50's housewife, and Wanda smiled

"Wanda. Welcome home." "Vision" greeted her. "Should we stay in tonight?"

Wanda nodded her head and both she and her now imaginary husband walked into the couch and sat together. They then shared a kiss and gazed at each other in a loving manner as "Vision" turned on the remote and the couple began watching TV. Her new life had just begun.

Outside the Vision Residence, the same mysterious man who approached Wanda a few days early was watching from the sidelines, smirking to himself as he knew his plan was now set in motion.

"Yes. Now everything is going exactly according to the plan..."

Sanctum Sanctorum, New York

While Wanda was holding the town of Westview hostage with her magic, the mysterious man set his sight somewhere else. He had found himself in the undercroft of the New York Sanctum Sanctorum, which was protected by the Sorcerer Supreme. The man was aware that the Sorcerer Supreme was posing a threat to his plans, so he had sneaked into the Sanctum unnoticed, where he witnessed an ancient cauldron that contained a secret spell.

That spell was the Runes of Kof-Kol, an ancient spell created by the Masters of the Mystic Arts millions of years ago capable of making an entire universe forget about a certain person, thing or event. However, the spell was considered to be dangerous, as modifying it during casting would cause a malfunction in the spell, resulting in its effect not coming in full handy.

The mysterious man was aware that the spell had not been cast in many years and knew an enchantment that would heavily modify the spell, where it would eventually access not just this universe, but other universes. This was just exactly what the man needed to continue his own plans. With Wanda under his grasp and modifying the Runes of Kof-Kol, nothing would stand in his way.

The man gained access to the spell through the cauldron and cast out a demonic enchantment onto the cauldron. As the man cast his enchantment, he noticed the spell was being corrupted and it began going haywire before the spell stopped. The man smirked to himself once again, satisfied with the results of his actions.

Wanda Maximoff's Hideout

A few days have passed since Wanda Maximoff created the Westview Anomaly. Following her defeat of Agatha Harkness, who posed as the noisy neighbor Agnes and was obsessed with harnessing her Chaos Magic, Wanda took down the Hex, which held the entire town hostage, took the Darkhold from Harkness and fled away from the country, isolating herself into the unknown. Despite redeeming herself, Wanda still couldn't forgive herself for what she had done to the citizens of Westview and was haunted by the memories of her children, Billy and Tommy. She couldn't even think of going to Clint Barton's house, as she thought he couldn't understand her actions and was afraid he would take her to the authorities for what she had done.

Wanda was outside of her cabin looking at the Darkhold, conflicted about what to do with the cursed book. She figured she might visit her old friend Doctor Strange to help her out with the Darkhold, but Strange knew the effects the book could do on its wielder and it was too dangerous for him to reach it. Suddenly, the mysterious man appeared right in front of her and interrupted her bubble thoughts.

"We meet again, my dear Wanda." The mysterious man said as he held his cane around and looked at the Darkhold. "That's a very interesting book."

"It's the Darkhold." Wanda told the man.

"Ah, yes. The Book of the Damned. Said to be one of the most dangerous objects in the universe." The man added.

"Agatha told me that this book had a page dedicated to the Scarlet Witch. It said that the Scarlet Witch was destined to rule the world." Wanda explained.

"It also said that it contains the knowledge of the location to your children." The man inquired.

"What?" Wanda asked in denial, as she was surprised to hear that her children were alive. "My children don't exist."

"Oh, but they do. In every other universe." The man assured.

Wanda was trying to warp her head around the fact that her children were still alive, as she recalled saying goodbye to them before she took down the Hex.

"That's not possible." Wanda continued to deny this fact.

"You're going to have to believe me, Wanda, because within this book is the key to your happiness." The man assured Wanda. "By reading this, you might find a way to find your children. Once you do, you will finally have the perfect life. Isn't that what you wanted?"

Wanda was hesitant to say anything before finally giving into his demands. "Yes."

"Good." The man said, amused that he was able to bring Wanda into his favor. "Let's start reading, shall we?"

Wanda and the mysterious man entered the cabin, where the man witnessed Wanda opening the Darkhold in the living room and searching through the necessary knowledge she needed to find her boys. As she studied the book, Wanda felt her magic surging through her and the mysterious man was amazed at the sight of this power. Never had he seen such incredible power before. As Wanda was searching through the book, she began hearing the voices of her children.

"Mom! Mom! Help us! Please!"

Wanda shut down the book in a frightened state and began taking deep breaths, having no idea what she had just experienced. The man stood still and let out a small laugh.

"You are finally realizing your true potential, Wanda." The man admired Wanda. "You have more power than any man could have imagined. The more you continue reading this book, the closer you will find your way to your family. The only way to achieve this is to tap into your power and control it. You still have much to learn."

Wanda then posed into her meditating position again and reopened the Darkhold, hoping to learn more about her children's location. As she began utilizing her powers again, the man smiled in satisfaction, as he knew that the Darkhold would amplify her powers and drive her into insanity alongside his manipulations. As far as the man was concerned, Wanda fell into the Darkhold's influence, unaware that she was actually being controlled by the devil himself.

The mysterious man, Mephistopheles, let out a malicious laugh that was heard around the wilderness.

And that's the end of the story. I've had this idea for a very long time and I hope I did my best in demonstrating them. The Mephistopheles in this story is obviously the same one seen in the Ghost Rider film duology and in this fic, Mephisto arrived in the prime universe (Earth-616) following the fracturing of the Scared Timeline by Sylvie in "For All Time. Always." and observes Wanda's pain of losing Vision, so he brings her to his control, causing the Westview Anomaly, and corrupts the Runes of Kof-Kol so it can have effects on other universes. Mephisto would be played by Jon Voight, who was considered for the role in the first Ghost Rider film.

As for the scenes, the Kof-Kol corruption takes place at the same time as the WandaVision episode "On a Very Special Episode..." and before "Spider-Man: No Way Home", and the ending takes place before the post-credits scene of "The Series Finale".

Let me know your thoughts on this story and I hope you enjoyed it. Stay safe everyone and take care.
