"Riko?" I slowly opened my eyes to the dimly lit room, looking up at the white ceiling. I looked to my side to see Mr. Konoakichi. I blushed and quickly averted my eyes back to the ceiling. "S-sir!" He stood and took a step closer to me. "Agent Riko, are you okay? You just randomly blacked out out of the blue!" I mentally slapped my face. 'He's totally gonna fire me for getting in the way of his work!' I immediately sprung out of the hospital bed and bowed deeply. "My apologies, sir! I won't get in the way of your work ever again!" The room fell into a deep silence. I broke into a sweat. 'Yep! He's definitely firing me now!' Suddenly, the room was filled once again with hysteric laughter. "What was that? 'In the way'?! Aha!" I gulped. "You did nothing wrong!" i slowly lifted my head and peeked at him through my lashes. Is he... for real? His laughter slowed down and he gave me a bit of a smile. "But you might if you don't go home and sleep." I tried to look away, but the eerily sweet smile on his face held me in place. He... can't possibly be for real now... "But sir," I protested, "Won't t-the doctor be upset if I just up and leave?" He sighed and reached a hand in his pocket. "Leave it to me." He pulled out a bulky envelope and handed it to me. " I need to speak with her anyway." I slowly reached my hand up to grab it, but right at the last moment, he dropped it and I immediately bent down to grab it. Suddenly, something soft poked me on the head. "Don't worry about what's in it until tomorrow morning." I stood up and my cheeks reddened as he winked. "Call me." I turned away and stopped at the door. "I-I'll be off now!" The only thing I heard was a soft chuckle before I left the room.

I sighed and practically threw my shoes at the wall and opened the door to my bedroom. "I need to clean up in here, seriously..." I made my way over to my bed and sat down. "Call me..." I looked down at the envelope sitting on the bedside table and blushed. A sigh escaped my lips as I layed down and pulled the sheets over my head. "Call me..."

I jolted awake as the sound of a window breaking near my bedroom echoed throughout the house. I scrambled my hand under my pillow to grab the revolving pistol my father got me for my birthday, but panicked as soon as I realized that it was too dark to see anything- or anyone -I was supposed to be shooting. I quickly sprung out of bed and grabbed my award-winning-bat instead. "I AM ARMED AND DANGEROUS!" I shouted, gripping the bat tighter as soon as I noticed that my hands were sweating so hard the bat was slipping from my grasp. "IF YOU DO NOT LEAVE NOW, YOU- and my bat -WILL FACE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES!" I shook as I waited stubbornly to hear another sound, yet I didn't hear anything. Shit!
