I cleared my throat. "5!" Nothing. "4!" Still nothing. "3!" I flinched when the glass began to crunch under big feet- walking towards my room. "2! ….1!" I gulped. The sweat dripping into my eyes began to become unbearable as I looked around my room- looking for some type of shadow or figure of some sort- but couldn't see anything. There was also no noise that could be heard in, or near the house. I reluctantly turned around to set down my bat, but was harshly pushed down onto my mattress by abnormally strong hands. As I was paralyzed and unable to move, soft minty breath came close to my right ear and whispered gently, "Be a good girl." My eyes blew wide as my body was freed from shock, and able to move again. I pushed and screamed- but somehow, the burglar was able to pin me down and tape my hands behind my back. "Armed and dangerous, hu-" I kicked his leg and he groaned, but was able to secure me onto the bed without me kicking him again. "This would be alot easier if you weren't moving so much," The man said while holding my face down into the mattress. "MMMHMM!" His body soon found its way onto mine, pinning me down even more. "Shh. I'm not going to hurt you, as long as you cooperate with me here. All I want to do, is just ask you a few questions." His hands left my head, allowing me to lift it, and begin to gather all my breath again to scream at the top of my lungs. Suddenly, something heavy and cold pressed up against my neck. "You scream, I kill. Got it?" My body seized up when I realized that what was being held against my neck, wasn't just a regular cold piece of metal or something- it was a knife. I immediately shut my mouth as the sharp edge began to dig into and break my skin. "...I'll take that as a yes." I began to sob. I was so scared, I didn't even bother to open my eyes, because I knew that what, or whoever I saw? Would lead me to my death. The man placed a hand on my back until it trailed down the the small of my back, caressing my hip and waist. I whimpered as his hand tightened and squeezed my side. "Are you sensitive?" The cool metal left from my neck, but I wasn't dumb enough to try anything. I could feel the hilt of the knife press up against my thigh as the man began to rub my hair in sweet circles. He made an 'aww' sound before letting go and grabbing my head harshly. "I'm sorry sweet girl, but I have to put you to sleep so you don't feel the, well, pain." I panicked as I heard the clinking of the knife, but was only able to let out a small yelp before he banged the hilt of the knife up against my head- knocking me out cold.
The next morning, I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and tree branches banging against my window. I tried to sit up, but the pain radiating through my stomach protested harshly. "SHK-" I sucked air in through my teeth and grabbed my pants. …Pants? All I felt, was… underwear… I sprang up cautiously and walked to the bathroom slowly. Once I got inside, I closed the door, and my eyes. 'If I look in the mirror and see what I think I'm gonna see? I'm calling the police.' I rubbed my cold arms and counted down from three. 'Two, one…' I opened my eyes.
I opened the door and bid him a good morning. "Please, please- Come in." He nodded and stepped inside. "So- what seems to be the problem?" I sighed and scratched my head. "Last night- I-I was sleeping, but jolted awa-awak-ke, when I heard glass breaking i-in my house." I swallowed, and walked over to my drawers. "I grabbed my bat, but didn't hear anything, so I turned around, but som-" I held back my sobs and covered my mouth. "E- H-He was touching me, and then h-he knocke-d-d me out." The police officer nodded and hummed, while flipping his note-pad shut. "...I see. May I take a look around?" I nodded through my tears. I watched him leave the room, and when he did, I bit my nails. 'I have to tell my boss about this,' I said in my head. 'He might not be happy though…' I sat down at my table and held my head in my hands. How could I let this happen? I mean- I-I didn't let it happen, but- "Um- Excuse me ma'am?" I jerked around and wiped my tears. "Y-Yes?" He cleared his throat. "We'd like to take you in for questioning."
