"So how many times have you been in the papers now, Jennifer?" Nancy asked with a hiccup.

Jennifer's face felt warm from all the drinks they'd all been throwing back. She felt light and loose and happy. Though she could tell she was reaching her limit. Reminding herself to not go too far, Jennifer gave her half-finished cocktail to a passing waiter and turned back to Nancy to answer her question. "Honestly, I've lost count. They've started writing about my clothes. Which is good, since now I don't have to think about price tags."

Nancy giggled with giddy glee. "Jonathan give you a credit card already?"

"No, he has accounts with all the major fashion houses in Beverly Hills, so whenever we go shopping, he either pays himself or tell them to put it on his tab. He pays later. Though, when I go by myself, I pay for things on my own."

"Why would you do that?" Nancy asked incredulously.

"Because I am not marrying Jonathan for his money. I don't need his money. I've got money of my own," Jennifer explained.

"Jennifer!"

She turned to see Alice coming towards her with a magazine in her hand. It did not escape Jennifer that Alice was stumbling a little bit. They'd all had quite enough to drink, it looked like. "Alice, don't fall!" Jennifer warned, laughing. "What do you have there?"

"I found this in the lobby," Alice answered. It was one of the gossip magazines from a few weeks ago. Alice opened it to one of the pages. "What on earth is this?!"

Jennifer looked to see a photo of herself wearing jeans and a simple short-sleeved blouse, smiling and waving as Jonathan helped her into the backseat of the Bentley. It took her a moment to notice that the background of the photo was Disneyland. "Oh, Jonathan had the park closed down for us for the whole afternoon so we could go on all the rides without waiting in lines, and he had them put on a special fireworks show. The finale had J + J and two hearts light up the sky over the castle. Isn't that adorable?"

Alice just gaped at her. As did Nancy. "He had Disneyland closed down for you?" Alice asked, her eyes big as saucers.

"Well, it's like I told Nancy. I now find myself living a life where I don't have to look at price tags. Jonathan is a very successful man, and he likes to use that money for things like this. Having fun and going on adventures. And now we can do all of that together," Jennifer defended. It was a crazy thing to do, she realized, but the way Alice spoke, it felt a bit judgmental.

Thankfully, she was saved when Deborah came by. "Whatever you're talking about, put it on hold," she said, slurring slightly. "I have a very important question for Jennifer."

Jennifer was smiling again at that. "Alright, Deborah, what's your question?"

"Well, since this is your bachelorette party and you are getting married tomorrow, I have to ask if you're prepared for Jonathan to be the only man you make love to for the rest of your life. Or since you're in that elite class of obscene wealth, do you have an arrangement for…field trips, shall we say?" Deborah asked, insinuating quite a lot.

Unable to help herself, Jennifer just threw her head back and laughed. It took her a moment to catch her breath and wipe the hysterical tears from her eyes. Her friends all looked at her like she was insane. Maybe she was. But she had good right to be. "Oh no," she said, still laughing. "No, Jonathan and I have no trouble there."

"Oh?" Nancy prompted.

Jennifer bit her lip. She knew better than to kiss and tell. But it was her bachelorette party. And these were her closest friends. And…well… "I know Jonathan and I have only known each other a couple of months, but I also don't think it's a secret I've had some experience with men."

It was Deborah who rolled her eyes. "Yes, Jennifer, you've been very popular."

"I'm only saying that I know what I'm talking about when I say that Jonathan is far beyond the best I've ever had," Jennifer said bluntly.

"Is that so?" Deborah encouraged eagerly.

Jennifer wasn't going to say too much. "I can't keep my hands off him. He's the most virile man I have ever met. And he's somehow both gentle and powerful. And skilled. Extremely skilled."

"Oh my!" Alice giggled.

Thanks to the conversation topic and the alcohol coursing through her, Jennifer's mind drifted back to this morning, waking up at the Bel Air house in the bed they'd had moved from the penthouse. The sale closed only five days after Jennifer saw the house, and they moved in right away. Well, they were living there but it was mostly an empty house except for the few things they'd brought of Jennifer's things and from the penthouse and the items left by the previous owners. But being in their new home was a joy beyond belief, and it had certainly inspired Jennifer and Jonathan both to more amorous pursuits. Two days ago, they made love in the pool at midnight after Max had gone to bed. Yesterday, they'd taken a bath together where Jonathan had certainly failed to keep his hands to himself. And this morning, he'd woken her up to what had started out as slow, seductive caresses from his mouth and ended up with Jennifer riding Jonathan and his hand closing around her neck until pleasure caused them both to nearly pass out.

"Jennifer, you've gone a little glassy-eyed, sweetheart." Nancy's voice jolted Jennifer out of her memories.

"Sorry," she mumbled. She was still a little distracted with that tight feeling in the pit of her stomach. Jennifer was now sorry she had given away her drink.

"What's the matter?" Alice asked, seeing Jennifer's face fall

"I miss Jonathan," she answered.

"Oh Jennifer, you just saw him a few hours ago before you got here! And you'll see him tomorrow for the wedding. Besides, it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding," Deborah pointed out.

Jennifer glared at her. "That is an extremely stupid tradition. And the only part of it I'm following is agreeing to sleep in a room here tonight so we can all be in the same place to get ready together tomorrow before the wedding. And Jonathan is staying at the penthouse." And really, she hated that, too. Bel Air wasn't far from the Beverly Hilton. They'd bought the house in Bel Air because it was close to Beverly Hills, after all. But it was far enough away that she'd have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get everything together from the house and come to the hotel for the wedding preparation. And not only that, Jonathan was going to whisk her away somewhere for the wedding night and honeymoon afterwards, so she had to have her things packed. It was easier for her to be with her bridesmaids and for Jonathan to be with Max downtown after his bachelor party.

Jonathan's bachelor party was actually at the hotel, the same as Jennifer's bachelorette party. But they were at the cigar club and Jennifer and her friends were in a private room at the hotel restaurant. Which gave Jennifer an idea.

"Nancy, go drag Carol away from that waiter she's flirting with. We're going to go on an adventure," Jennifer announced.

Alice sighed in resignation. "Why am I not surprised that Jennifer Edwards wants to go on an adventure?"

Deborah just laughed as Jennifer stood up from her chair and led the way out of the room.

Jonathan puffed on his cigar and drank his whiskey and smiled. This bachelor party was a lot of fun. Since meeting Jennifer, he hadn't spent much time with his friends. He hadn't really missed them, but it was nice to spend this time. And other than some good-natured ribbing, they hadn't begrudged him for it.

The men that Jonathan would want to spend time with were all here. Arthur and Old Cyrus and Max and even Fred Brunis, who usually wasn't one to come out with the boys. They were all chatting and laughing and discussing the joys of marriage. Max was the only one of them who had been married before. Cyrus had been engaged more than once, and Arthur was starting to look at settling down, but none of them had been married. Jonathan was now the first to be taking the plunge, since his married friends hadn't been able to come out tonight to celebrate.

"Now Jonathan, you have taken care of protection?" Cyrus asked.

Whether or not he and Jennifer had been using contraceptives—which they weren't—was certainly none of their business, so Jonathan was taken off guard. "Excuse me?"

"A prenup, Jonathan," Cyrus explained. "You've got millions to protect!"

The thought had never crossed Jonathan's mind. "Protect from what?"

"Divorce," Cyrus answered bluntly. "I know you and Jennifer are mad about each other now, but that might not be the case in the future."

"I think we'll be alright, Cyrus," Jonathan placated. He was comforted by the way Max had started chuckling to himself at the absurdity of the idea. He and Jennifer would certainly be alright. It might have been foolish and insane to believe such a thing, but he wouldn't be convinced otherwise.

"So you're happy to just give away half of everything you have to this woman?" Cyrus pressed.

Jonathan had to give a small laugh at that. "I'm happy to give her everything, Cyrus. But I know she wouldn't take it. I paid my bill at Dolce and Gabbana the other day and found out that Jennifer pays for her own clothes when I'm not with her when she's shopping. Besides, she's brilliant, and I'm going to put her on my board of directors when we get home from the honeymoon."

Fred thankfully steered the conversation away from Cyrus's needling. "Where are you going on your honeymoon, Jonathan?"

"Paris and Venice. I had planned for a longer trip, but we just bought the house in Bel Air, and I know Jennifer wants to decorate," he said.

"I'm gonna be busy for the month they're gone, getting everything moved in," Max said.

"And I can't tell you how much I appreciate it, Max," Jonathan told him. "It's a little sparse at the moment, but Jennifer and I love it there." And they did love it there. It had already become a place of respite and joy and love for all three of them. It was home.

"HELLO BOYS!"

Jonathan turned as a very loud and very familiar voice cried out a greeting. And there was Jennifer. Beautiful and perfect and stumbling drunk with all her friends in tow. He got up from his overstuffed leather chair to greet his fiancée. "Darling, what are you doing here?" he asked.

"I missed you," she answered, draping her arms over him and standing far too close for polite company. But Jonathan certainly didn't mind.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned in to kiss her. "You look very beautiful in that dress," he murmured adoringly.

"I'd rather you be able to tell me I look beautiful out of this dress," she answered with a very naughty grin on her face.

Jonathan felt a shiver of arousal through his whole body at that. He glanced over to where their friends were all mingling. Cyrus had Alice on his lap. Carol was all over Fred. Deborah and Nancy were chatting with Arthur and Max. No one was paying any attention to Jennifer and Jonathan. "Let's see what we can do about that," he whispered, taking her hand and leading her out of the room.

Jennifer started giggling as they hurried through the halls of the Beverly Hilton. "Jonathan, what are we doing?"

At last, he found what he was looking for. A supply closet off in the corner. "I'm gonna get you out of that dress," he answered, quickly pushing her inside and closing the door behind them.

Jonathan crashed his lips into Jennifer's in a fiery kiss. He wasted no time pushing the thin straps of her black beaded gown off of her. The bodice of the dress bunched around her waist, revealing her breasts to his eager hands.

Jennifer moaned softly into his mouth as he touched her. Nothing in the world would ever turn him on more than those noises she made. She was a drug to him, and he would never, ever have enough of her.

Their kiss turned messy as Jonathan used one hand to go up her skirt and into her thin lace panties. She was hot and wet already, but not nearly wet enough. His lips moved to her neck, his very favorite place to kiss her, as his fingers went to work, teasing her and dipping inside her body.

All Jennifer could do was cling to him as her hips gyrated against his hand. Her breath came in sharp gasps as she spurred him on. He could feel her fluttering around his fingers, and he did not relent until she shattered with a bone-deep groan of pleasure.

Jonathan licked his fingers clean as he held her upright so she could recover. Breathlessly, she asked, "You didn't leave a mark, did you? My dress…"

He had no idea what her wedding gown looked like, of course, but he knew better than to mark her the night before their wedding. "No mark," he promised. "Though I think it would be fun for me if there was."

Her eyes fluttered open and she glared at him. "Not so fun for my father," she reminded him.

That was a very good point she made, and he couldn't argue there. "Well, something to look forward to for the honeymoon. We can spend a month with my marks all over you." The thought of it alone was enough to make his cock twitch in his pants. A whole month of leaving lovebites all over her neck and her breasts and her belly and her thighs. Some of those only he would ever see, which was a true treat. But some would be seen by others, depending on what she wore, and Jonathan had a burst of masculine pride over the idea that someone else might see those marks and know that she belonged to him.

"Be careful what you wish for. You know I'm apt to leave some marks of my own," she countered.

That was certainly true. There had been a handful of times already that Jennifer had gotten so overcome during their lovemaking that she'd ended up biting him. He had bruises on his neck and shoulders from her eager teeth. Once, she'd actually broken the skin. She'd felt awful about it, but Jonathan had the wound as a badge of honor. He'd done that to her. He'd made her so out of her mind that she'd actually bitten him that hard. He wouldn't have it any other way.

Before either of them said anything else, Jennifer was suddenly out of his arms. He hardly realized she was gone before she dropped to her knees before him. Jennifer made quick work of the button and zipper on his pants, pulling everything down to his ankles. Her elegant hand closed around his half-erection and stroked him to life. And she hadn't readjusted her dress, so it was still bunched around her waist with her beautiful breasts free and exposed. It was easily one of the most erotic sights Jonathan had ever laid eyes on.

"Jennifer, I…" he tried to warn. He had meant to say she didn't need to do this, that their friends were probably curious where they'd been, that they were apt to get caught if they were gone too long. But when she took him in her mouth, all rational though flew right out of his mind.

Jonathan had to brace himself against the wall to keep his knees from buckling under him. His other hand tangled in Jennifer's hair, needing to touch her and be even more connected to her while she did this. She wasn't shy, his Jennifer, but it always seemed to catch him off guard. He loved her so much, he thought he might burst. And speaking of…

A strangled cry fell from Jonathan's lips as he finished into Jennifer's mouth. She sucked him off, taking every drop. His grip in her hair went slack, and Jennifer released him, clambering to stand up. Through half-closed eyes, he watched her wipe the corners of her mouth and put her dress back to rights.

She kissed him, though he was still too out of sorts to kiss her back. "This was very fun. I'm glad I decided to crash your party," she said.

Jonathan's mind started to come out of the haze. "This was your idea?" he asked, pulling up his pants.

"Well, this was your idea. But crashing the party, yes, that was my idea. I missed you, and I knew you weren't far away, so why shouldn't I come see you?"

"Did anyone tell you it's bad luck for the groom to see the bride before the wedding?" he teased.

"Quite a few people, actually," she replied.

"But you don't care?"

"Do you?"

He pulled her back into his arms, holding her close. "No," he said. "I only ever want to be with you."

"Well, we are going to sleep apart tonight," she reminded him. But she hugged him back anyway. "The very last night we'll spend unmarried and the very last night we ever have to be apart."

"I know," he answered. "But tomorrow will come soon enough. Let's go back out to our parties."

She sighed in agreement. "Alright. I suppose I'll go be Jennifer Edwards for a few more hours."

He chuckled, opening the closet door for her and kissing her cheek. "Hart to Hart, soon enough."
