I agree both girls can be wonderful queen and wife for Aemon, but unlike Laena, Alicent is from the branch of house hightower, and she is not from the main line, while Laena is from the main line and she is a dragon rider, which is a huge asset , if you choose to ignore that brother, then you will have a dance of dragons, when Corlys finds a lord dumb enough to think they can make their daughter queen, with only their men and sell swords

Viserys are you blind the reach is the most unstable region in the entirety of westoros besides the iron islands and lands beyond the wall, because house tyrell's hold of the reach is weaker, than House Baratheon and House Tully control's , when both houses don't have historical control of the their lands until the conquest same with house tyrell, since our Ancestor Aegon the conquering chose to give the reach to house tyrell, instead of simply giving them highgarden and taking the reach into the crownlands, and now brother you are saying a bannerman of house tyrell get lands from another bannerman by you say so, will weaken house Tyrell's control, what will this look to the other lords, they will think you are Jaeharys taking lands away from lords, thankfully you have me as your brother if not, you will have a rebellion brother, since Jaeharys had a dragon when he did that, but now you don't, it would be better for Aegon to marry a stormlander, since house tyrell and house hightower don't have complete control of the reach unlike house baratheon

do you hear yourself right now, you are willing to make your son a landless prince for Otto which is more of a punishment , then a gift , for Otto, than make your son a lord of a keep, by making talks with Hour Baratheon, and get the only Lord who voted against you in the great council, unless you some how make house Hightower the new Lord Paramount of the Reach, and make the keep, but that will be a big ask, and other Reacher Lords will complain if you do that, sure having a dragon, Aegon is quite the prize, but its better for Aegon to get lands for himself with a Lord Paramount whose lords he can control, unlike House Tyrell or Hightower, who can barely keep the lords of the reach to behave
