I dont own pokemon, Game Freak does, but sure as hell wish i did
Spearow could be heard screeching out as they flew overhead of a small forest heading towards their next destination, way down below was a small village that appeared to have cheerful and calm residents from one's outside point of view.
However…There was some tension going around as some of the villagers watched as what appeared to be royal guards walking into the village, looking to and from each member, one of them looked up to see a Elder like pokemon who had stepped forward, knowing that her people needed her to ease the tension as she now stood her ground, her Staff slammed into the ground and fire erupted around her as she glared towards the approaching guards who seemed unaffected by the Elderly Delphox who growled.
"Why are you here in our home, haven't you Royal Guards done enough!"
Three of the guards halted while the Leader of the group walked up as she looked at the Delphox with a serious concern on her face.
"You know why we have come, where is he?"
Delphox bared her fangs as she pointed to the Lucario, fire still swirling around her forepaw licking at the tips of her claws as she narrowed her eyes towards her.
"Don't even act as if we're not aware, he told you he was not coming back to the castle as he has made the choice not to further his training as a Royal guard, do not push things further than they need to be and respect his choice as it seems since some of your guards have treated him as an outsider after all he has went through!"
The Lucario placed a paw upon the side of her armor as she sighed looking at the Elder with a disinterest in her intimidating tactic causing her to merely waved a paw.
"Look, you and i both know he is no ordinary male, he is someone special and with his ability, skill and power, he can become someone of great power and rule over the kingdom of Dustira, We will deal with the negligence that's been happening upon our grounds without question, you know me Diana, I don't personally tolerate it, especially of my own kind and our people."
The Delphox now known as Diana merely scoffed as she snatched her paw back as she leered towards the Lucario as she motioned back, the Lucario turned seeing her guards were pointing their own weapons towards the villagers as if they were a threat to them.
This made the Commander angry as she Slammed her hindpaw onto the ground causing a tremor under her own squad.
"Are the lot of you this damn dense? When he told me you all had pointed your weapons at the people here before, I figured he was giving me some made up bullshit to get the lot of you kicked out of the academy but no, here I am witnessing it myself, Behind my own back while I'm negotiating!"
She raised her own paw and fired off Aura spheres blasting two guards weapons out of their own paws making them both flinch back in fear realizing they all had screwed up this time.
The lucario growled under her breath towards her own units, while the Elder finally realized she could relax, seeing that her old friend was indeed still the same girl she knew since they were mere pups growing up here at the village.
"...Alura…"
The Lucario slowly turned to the Elder as she barked towards her once more as she looked into her eyes.
"Diana...Where is he. "
- Further inside the village -
"Son, are you sure this is a good idea?
inside of her small home, A crimson colored like Vaporeon sat near the doorway of her son's room watching as her son was packing away various items and a small portion of food into his bag before slinging it onto his shoulders he quickly turned to his mother as he spoke up in a hollow like voice as he muttered loud enough for her to hear.
"I need to leave, i can't hide from my past or who i am no more, let alone…"
His mother slammed her paws down as she screamed out with tears down her face.
"Your not a monster son, your not a demon or some kind of freak, your my baby, i may not have given life to you but when i found you and took care of you, i cared for you as if you were my own, forget what they have said to you at the Academy sweetie, your my precious son."
The Vaporeon watched as her son snatched his cloak up and over his form hiding who he was.
"This is your home after all, you don't have to leave here…please."
The cloaked mon merely looked towards the Vaporeon with heavy sad eyes as he spoke softly to his mother, knowing she was merely his adopted mother, but he loved her like she was his own, but he knew he needed to leave and seek the answers he needed now.
"I'm sorry mom, but i can't stay and hide out here forever, i finally started to remember bits and pieces of what happened to me sometime ago, but now i need to figure out why my own people attacked me, and i can't do that by idly staying here and thinking things will be ok staying here, if he comes for me i'll just endanger you as well, he saw me at the castle, and something triggered my memories when he and i met gazes, i knew just how dangerous he is, i don't want others to get hurt, or worse."
The Vaporeon looked to her son as he was preparing to walk out but she got in his way as she spoke in a serious tone.
"Son, who are you talking about, if you tell me, I could get the Royal guards to help us. I can warn the Elder as well, running away isn't going to find the answers you seek and at this point, you're practically abandoning all of us and you know it!"
The mon flinched at the harsh words she spoke, he knew his mother was right in a sense, he was abandoning his life and new home, but he also knew they were in danger if he stayed as well, especially since he couldn't fight the impending threat that could turn the corner at any given chance now.
"Mom, the one i speak of, is the very one who turned my own father and his friends against me, his very own son, my mentor and mother tried to help me escape and i don't know if they ever escaped, they threw me over our village's waterway bridge and into the river below as a last resort, it's all a blur still, i can't remember everything, but i know that Elder wanted me dead because of what i am, whatever that maybe."
The Vaporeon could see something trickle and land upon her face as she looked up.
He was crying
"I am truly sorry if you feel i'm abandoning you momma, i swear to you, i'm doing this to him keep away, i don't want him potentially hurting any of you, especially after all you have done for me when i've been nothing more than a burden."
He wrapped his paws around the vaporeons neck and held her against his form as he shook in place. She could feel that he hated what he was about to do, but he felt it was the right choice for their sake. She whimpered and buried her face into his covered chest as she whined and whimpered out, pleading him not to go.
"Don't go…you're all I have left…"
He kissed the side of her cheek as he whispered to her.
"Thank you for everything, I won't let him harm you."
As he slowly let go of his mother, he quickly slipped past her as he ran out of the small hut giving a pained whimper of his own as he fled from the very place he called home.
The Vaporeon sat there, hearing his words as she bit her bottom lip trying as she might not to break down as she whimpered and sniffled, but her fins lowered down as she quickly gave up as she slowly padded towards his straw bed and collapsed onto it the now empty bed as she began wailing in pain, pleading for him not to go.
"Please….my baby boy, don't leave me too…"
She bumped her paw into something and looked up and saw something buried in the straw bed, she eased it out from under it and saw a photo of the both of them smiling, with the photo was a mystic water necklace she had last seen at the shop, a small note attached to it reading.
-i hope you love my gift momma, it took me awhile but i managed get enough while training at the academy, sorry if it isn't much, but i noticed you looking at it in the shop sometime ago and i had to get you something special for someone who means the world to me, thank you for being in my life!-
XOXO your loving Buppy!
She stared at the letter for a moment, rereading the letter again and again before she slowly lowered it, taking and nuzzling into the chain letting it slip around her head and over her fins and onto her neck as she could feel the gems power pulsing through her body, she gave one last smile before she laid back onto the bed as she whimpered under her breath.
"...i love you too my son…"
- Near the Village Entrance -
He panted heavily as he slammed his paw into the tree next to him as he tried to bite back the pain in his chest, he hated this, he didn't want to leave as he really felt deep down he was abandoning his new home, but after seeing the Elder of his old home, his true home.
He had to leave for their sake…
The Village of Light, Home of the Pure Aura bearers and Lucario kind alike, the Elder had called him a Demon and a bearer of darkness as the Elder wanted the village to remain pure, he gave orders and forced members of their home to attack him.
"Just why wou-"
"HOLD IT!"
The cloaked mon quickly swung around as the Royal guards surrounded him as he looked to and from, one of the guards sneered towards him making him recoil while another spoke.
"Nowhere to run, freak!"
The mon's fangs bared but stopped as he heard a yelp as the very one who spoke was struck with an Aura sphere.
"You will not address one of your own as such!"
the lucario grunted as she slowly got onto a knee growling under her breath while the commander was about to step forward only to turn and see that some of the villagers had followed behind seeing what they saw.
"Why is he leaving us?"
"Who gives a shit, we're better off without him anyways!"
"Yea, should have known a runt like him would be nothing but trouble!"
More insults followed as he lowered his head baring his fangs, as some spoke ill of him, others argued to the others villagers defending him.
The commander lowered down to him as she spoke.
"Don't do this, you know leaving will-"
"I know, but I need to, so long as the Elder Zagan serves as a potential threat, he will hunt for me, and he will hurt others to get to me. I need to leave Commander Alura, Please…Don't stop me."
Commander Alura reached to pull his cloak off only for his paw, revealing a silver bracer with a Red gem embedded into it to shine in the light as his red eyes met with hers.
"Even you and the others are in danger, don't let that Elder make a pact with the Royal guard or the kingdom, please believe me Lady Alura warn the queen not to side with him, at all."
Commander Alura's ears stiffened and watched his eyes and saw something she hadn't expected to see within his very core.
Fear
"We can handle him if-"
"No, you Can't, believe me, if I stay here I'll just endanger everyone, I can't lose my home again, even if it means I have to abandon everything now, I can come back so long as I have something to come back to Commander."
The commander stared into his eyes even more, she saw the tear stains and darkness under his eyes she could tell easily how far things have gotten, before she could say anything else however, the Delphox Elder came up and lowered down towards him, having known and sensed his unease for sometime as she eased the commander away from him as she spoke to her.
"Allow me…"
Commander Alura merely nodded as she turned to the villagers to address the current situation to help ease their anger, Elder Diana however placed a paw to his cheek as she spoke to him.
"When i say now, you go, understand?"
This confused him greatly before she hushed him as she continued.
"I could sense an evil presence for sometime and it has passed but only momentarily, it is aiming to return however, you know i will tell him where to find you or the general direction, i am sorry if that is a betrayal to you my boy, however i must do what i have to for my people."
He shook his head as he nodded towards the Elder.
"No, do it, if it keeps you and the others from being hurt, if not worse, Tell him where I've run to, I don't want none of you hurting because of me."
"It isn't you that will cause us pain, you're leaving to keep that from happening, I understand what you're doing my boy, I did so years ago with a friend of mine just like you years ago, it hurts but I do understand…And your mother will be fine, i promise."
he merely nodded before he sunk down further as she nodded, towards him "now!"
Before the commander and her guards knew what had happened the Mon bolted back through the gate where a psychic barrier slammed down and around the path but also around the guards and herself as she stood there with her paws ignited as she bared her fangs.
"And don't come back until you have found what you're seeking out there my boy!"
The commander turned to her friend as she bared her fangs raising her paws ready to strike at her but she stopped herself sensing something was amiss and slowly she lowered her paws and turned to the guards barking out to them to stand down, this greatly confused them as they did not understand why but obeyed her orders.
"You understand then my friend?"
Commander Alura nodded before she looked towards the path that he took off running.
"He will be fine Alura, have faith in him, he is your student after all."
The Lucario turned to the Elder Diana as she merely sighed heavily.
"I most certainly do hope so, if what he said is true, then we need to keep the village and town safe here."
"And indeed we will, for now let us return and handle the situation, perhaps where he is headed will have answers and the help he truly seeks."
Commander Alura slowly shifted her attention towards Diana as she waved a paw to her, "where…is he going anyways?"
"To a special friend of ours, I am certain her guild may help him find the answers he seeks."
The Lucario tilted her head somewhat, slightly confused at this statement
"Are you sure he will be headed for the Guild?"
The Delphox merely chuckled as she looked to the sky
"I have foresaw the events that were to come to pass, it is why I know we will be ok and safe."
The Delphox turned back towards the village as she stood there looking over her home, her eyes shifted down near her, her eyes landed on the very vaporeon who took care of him, but she noticed the vaporeon was now wearing a blue teardrop necklace and a tailband.
"Scarlet, I'm sorry." The Delphox's ears lowered looking at her friend who's tail merely waved to her dismissing the motion.
"Don't be Diana, he needed to do this as he felt within his heart, he needed to find his answers and I can't fault him for that. Whatever they may be, all we can do is wish him a safe journey and hope he returns to us someday."
The Vaporeon looked towards Spiral forest as she allowed a tear to run down the side of her face as she whimpered, trying to stay strong, not only for herself.
"Goodbye and good luck my son…"
But for him as well.
