CHAPTER 4

DECORATING THE BARN

The very next day on Earth-2...

Hikari is overseeing getting ready for an anniversary party. Decorations are up and continue to be put up as he takes a look. An old DJ walks up to him, his hoof resting on a cane.

"Once again, I want to thank you for allowing me to throw a party here." said Hikari. "This is very very important to me."

"Aww, it's nothing, kiddo." said DJ. "Your fathers and my nephew are close, that makes you family. I couldn't let you be turned down, let alone be the one that does it. Besides. I was much wilder bull in my prime, so I know a thing or two about partying."

Hikari chuckles.

"SAKURA. I SAID NO." Jane said sternly.

The one year old wolf cub Sakura started crying and ran to Tamiko.

"No... You're in trouble." said Tamiko.

DJ chuckled.

"I remember when my daughters were that young." he said. "They picked up EVERYTHING. You wouldn't dare leave the room for more than a millisecond."

"Me and the wife are talking about having a baby." said Hikari. "Course... The way things have been lately, I think I need to get my emotions in check first."

"What's the matter, son?" asked DJ.

"My ex showed up at the manor yesterday." said Hikari. "I thought he was out of my life forever, but..." he said and sighs. "I think he came back hoping I'd get back with him, but he figured out I was married... I don't like to be rude, but I wanted him to leave as soon as I saw him."

"Hmm." said DJ. "I had an ex-wife once. She looked straight out of Playbull. I suppose I was too impulsive back then, making decisions I was too young to commit to. We got divorced and she tried to kill me once. Had a Scream costume and everything. It was weird."

"You guys... Don't have a boring world, that's for sure." said Hikari.

"That's one way to describe it." DJ said with a chuckle. "I'm gonna have to sit. This ankle's killin' me." he said and sit in a chair.

"Sir?" asked Hikari.

DJ laughed.

"Sir?" he asked. "Nonsense. Call me Uncle Deej."

"Umm... Uncle Deej." said Hikari. "May I ask what happened?"

"Well..." said DJ. "About 5 or 6 years ago, Missy and I were fooling around by the pond and since these old legs don't work the way they used to, my ankle slid out beneath me and messed me up."

"Oh." said Hikari. "Sorry."

"It's all done and over with." said DJ. "You're good."

Hikari then took another look around.

"I think it's about time to bring them here." said Hikari and looked at the decorations with a smile. A big blue banner that read "Happy Anniversary, Fathers" hung from the ceiling.

"Well... I can take care of that..." said DJ with a smile.

Hikari smiled back.

"Be my guest." he said.

Earth-251.

At lunch, Louis and Legoshi smiled at each other, their wine glasses almost empty.

"Happy Anniversary, dear." said Louis.

"Happy Anniversary." said Legoshi.

Louis's message tone went off.

"That's probably Hikari." said Louis and checked his phone, to see that there was in fact, a message that appeared to be from Hikari. It read:

"Come to Earth-2 ;) 3 "

"Yep." said Louis. "He says to come to Earth-2."

Legoshi chuckled.

"I hope you're ready to party, babe." he said.

"I'm ready to do anything with my two favorite men in the world." said Louis and smiled. "You know this."

"Yeah, I guess I do." Legoshi teased.

Shortly after in the car ride, in the Malibu, the two talked.

"I remember the first summer after we got married." said Louis. "When we just relaxed under the cherry blossom tree."

"That was probably the best summer of my life." said Legoshi. "I couldn't believe we were married. It felt so much like a good dream that I swore I'd wake up one day."

"If this is a dream, I never want to wake up." said Louis and held Legoshi's right hand firmly. "You saved my life. I had nothing left... You were my last tether to mortality, and you didn't let me fall..."

"I don't think I could've lived without you, honey." said Legoshi. "You made me want to be a better person."

"You did too." said Louis and smiled. "I love you, darling."

"I love you too." said Legoshi and smiled back.

Legoshi pulled in to the Graywolf Manor and got out, opening the door for Louis.

"Legoshi, hun..." Louis began as he got out of the car. "You're such a gentleman and I adore that about you, but you opening the door for me makes me feel guilty."

"Well, I'm not interested in what the world has to say." said Legoshi. "I would happily carry you for miles if you didn't want to walk."

Louis then smiled and kissed him passionately.

"I love you so much." said Louis.

Legoshi smirked.

"I know." he teased.

Louis teased back by elbowing him.

"I know you know." he said with a chuckle.

In the manor, on Louis's bedside stand sits the multiversal portal device. A small pink lightning bolt comes out of it, before quickly disappearing, as if the device had short circuited.

Louis and Legoshi then opened the door and walked in.

"If we weren't so pressed for time, I'd pin you down and let you fuck me." said Louis and smirked.

"Don't you dare tease me." Legoshi said and chuckled.

"Don't boss me around or I will." Louis said and chuckled, before grabbing the MPD.

"Alriiiight." said Legoshi. "I am ready."

"Alright." said Louis and opened a portal. They then stepped through into a barn they were familiar with... But they didn't see Hikari anywhere. They found themselves surrounded by DJ, Ben, Costin, Brandon and everyone they knew... But in defensive mode.

"State your name and business!" DJ demanded.

"You can't be serious." Legoshi said as the two raised their hands.

"DJ... It's us." said Louis.

"I have never met you before in my life." said DJ.

"What the hell." said Louis.

"This can't be Earth-2." said Legoshi.

"Wait a minute..." said DJ. "Earth-2... Are you non-hostiles?"

"We're non-hostiles." said Louis.

Just then, a beautiful tan mare their age and equally beautiful brown and white spotted cow the same age with rings on their fingers came out, joined with a black hided Spanish fighting bull and his husband, a black furred wolf, as well as DJ's daughters, Valerie and Miracle and their friend, Asriel.

"Dad?" asked the mare. "What's going on?"

"I think it's just a misunderstanding, Rory." said DJ.

"Asriel." said Louis. "Please tell us... What reality are we in?"

"Earth-5." said Asriel.

"Earth-5?" asked Louis. "That explains so much."

"Sorry for the hostility." said Asriel. "A lot happens around here."

"We've figured out that much." said Louis. "Trust me."
