CHAPTER 12
HOME AGAIN
Halsey residence.
The next morning.
Peyton's P.O.V.
My concern for Rory had persisted. I wanted her to be okay. There was a part of me that wanted to march over to the Meadows residence and let them know how little I think of them for throwing Rory on the street like that, but I knew there were ways in which that could go down wrong. If I wanted to continue lending my support, I shouldn't make stupid moves. I texted her a message that said "You doing ok, hun?" and pressed send. I then dialed Cassie's number, kinda pissed at her at this point.
"Hello?" Cassie answered, sounding upset.
"Are you going to be silent today too?" I asked.
"What am I supposed to say to her?" Cassie cried.
"Well you sure as fuck don't say nothing." I said.
"You don't understand-" said Cassie.
"Of course I don't." I said. "Let me ask you something. Did YOUR parents accept you?"
"What does that have to do with anything?" asked Cassie.
"You know damn well what." I said.
"They accept me, okay?" said Cassie.
"Exactly." I said. "You don't fucking understand either. You're supposed to be her girlfriend. She NEEDS you. Do you not realize we could be waking up one morning to find out she's killed herself? And for some reason, I'm the only one helping her pick up the fucking pieces when you SHOULD be with her."
"I don't know what to do, Peyton!" Cassie shouted.
"Then you should never be in a relationship again." I said. "Lose my number. I'm blocking you and I never wanna see or talk to you ever again." I said, then hung up and blocked her number.
I then got a text from Rory. It read:
"I can't do this anymore."
"Aren't the folks you're staying with good people?" I texted back.
"They are, but I don't trust them. Everyone always leaves me." Rory texted back.
"I'll never leave you. Never." I said.
"How can I know that for sure?" Rory texted back.
"Because you are important to me." I texted back.
"My parents claimed they loved me. After 18 years, they showed me they were lying." Rory texted back.
"They're assholes." I texted back.
"I got a gun. I think I'm going to kill myself." Rory texted.
Rory's P.O.V.
I was in the Caprice on the side of a dirt road in Coldsprings-Wilderville, with the pistol pressed to the side of my head, in tears when Peyton called, genuinely sounding concerned.
"Rory, please don't do this." he said. "I love you, my sister. Nothing and nobody can change that. Not even a lover of mine. You can't let them win, Rory... There's someone out there... You may not have met them yet, but they love you. You just gotta hold on. Everything happens for a reason."
I lowered the pistol.
"I'm sorry for worrying you." I said.
"Don't." said Peyton. "I can't pretend to understand what you're going through, but I'm not going sit here and be angry at you. You need me."
I started to sob.
"You're so good to me, Pey Pey." I said.
"What are friends for?" asked Peyton.
"I'm not going to do it." I said.
Peyton took a moment.
"When we're 45, we're going to have children about as old as we are now." he said. "We're going to be looking back at this with a smile, thinking about how your parents pushed you TO your wife. You'll be happy they helped you get to that point."
I smiled slightly.
"I'll take that bet." I said.
"You almost sound like you forced a smile." said Peyton.
"Maybe I did." I said.
"It's always nice to see you even the slightest bit happy." said Peyton.
Tabitha and Xan's house.
Tabitha walked to the kitchen to put coffee on, before she notices a note. She picked it up and read it. It read:
"Thank you for taking me in. I will never forget this. However, I'm not ready to open up to anyone yet and I don't feel like you deserve to have my misery in your life. To have to worry about whether I choose to live or die. I don't know where my life is going to go from here, or if I'll find another home soon, but should I choose to live, I hope we meet again. Rory."
Tabitha sighed.
Back with me, the Caprice was empty on gas. I had taken a stroll in the rain with the backpack on my back. I walked down the dirt road some more when I stopped at a pond. I pulled the pistol out of my pocket and took a look at it.
"You just gotta hold on. Everything happens for a reason." I remembered Peyton saying, before pulling my fist back and throwing the pistol into the pond.
I continued walking the path, the rain gradually letting up before finally stopping once I made it to a green and purple van from the 70s sitting to the left of the road, the grill facing me. To the right side of this van was a bull in green clothing. He was a Holstein, being black and white. He was about Dad's age and also had blonde hair and a golden necklace with big almost coin looking circle to its ends that read "DJ".
"What are you doing out here in the rain?" "DJ" asked as he looked at me.
"What about you?" I asked.
"I'm on watch." said "DJ".
"Watch for what?" I asked.
"Anything." said "DJ". "So again, I ask. Why are YOU in the rain?"
"My car's out of gas." I said. "I have no money, so I figured I'd walk the roads to see where they would lead me to."
"Do you have a home?" asked "DJ".
I looked down, quietly.
"I know of a place." he said. "You'll never have to worry about walking aimlessly or worry about money for gas ever again. Hop in. I'll take you there."
"Okay." I said and hopped in the van.
"My name is-" "DJ" began.
"DJ?" I asked.
"Yeah. That's what folks call me." he said and chuckled.
"Rory." I said.
"Well, Rory." said DJ. "Very nice to meet you."
He drove me up to a farm. There were open gates and around where the gates would close, wooden posts that formed a doorway of sorts. Hanging from the top of this doorway was a wooden sign, free to sway in the wind, that in big red 3D capital letters read "BARNYARD". He didn't get out when I did. I walked inside and saw animals sitting at a table near the back of the barn, having coffee. Freshly brewed from the smell of it. I sat in a chair next to a couple tannish brown cows around my age. They looked me as if they sensed something was wrong.
"What's wrong?" one of them asked.
"It's been a rough couple of weeks." I said.
She then rubbed my back.
"I'm so sorry." she said. "Well welcome to the Buyer Farm. I have no doubt you'll find some much needed therapy here."
At nightfall, it was starting to get easy to see what she meant. An every night celebration known as the "Night Barn" really made the place lively. Food, alcohol, entertainment... other things... It was certainly the kind of thing that could get my mind off of recent events... Or really vent them. Later, I would found out just how therapeutic the stage was after just one song, as just the simple acceptance from the crowd cheering me on was overwhelming. It was my first time singing aloud and they just seemed to enjoy it... Was home that far away? Turns out... No. After love, support, fun, drinks and herbs from DJ and his family, months turned into years. 5 years in fact. The scars of 2017 began to fade until I only needed one more thing to truly put it all in the past. I had ditched the red dress in favor of a purple dress, pride flag pin and a black choker and matching bracelets. The Caprice was given to DJ's brother for parts and I got a purple 1989 Chevrolet Suburban. I had grown used to the Night Barn. In fact, it was my favorite time at the barnyard.
As I got off the stage, a small white and brown cow walks in the barn with a male black furred timber wolf. The cow had light pink pig tails and black bracelets. She had a purple bow on at the end of her tail. The wolf is wearing gray sweat pants and a gray hoodie.
"Wow, this place is amazing!" said the cow.
"Oh, sister, you don't even know." said the wolf. "I've gotten A LOT of dick here."
The cow then giggled.
"Okay." she said.
A thin buck in a light blue tanktop and jean shorts walked up to them with his hand on his hip and a smile on his face.
"Hey, Benji." he said. "I was wondering when your fine ass would show up."
The wolf chuckled.
"I had to pry my sister's hooves off of her Volkswagen first." he said. "But now that I'm here... You wanna fuck?"
"Mmmhmm..." said the buck and smirked.
"Well, you two have fun." said the cow. "I'm going to go have some drinks."
"Don't be afraid to ask someone to bed." Benji said with a smirk.
The cow rolled her eyes and chuckled as she made her way to the bar.
"So..." said the buck, leading Benji to a vacant stall. "Who's on top first?"
"You knew who was first the moment you said 'Your fine ass'." he said with air quotes, before they both got naked. "Besides. I'd rather take dick than plow ass."
The buck chuckled.
"I can handle that." he said and sat on the edge of the bed, spreading his legs.
Benji then got on his knees and started sucking the buck off.
"Ooohhh fuck..." the buck moaned. "Mmm... Fuck... Good boy..."
Benji wagged his tail once as he continued servicing the buck. The buck chuckled as he looked down.
"That's so cute." he said then closed his eyes, putting his head back with a sigh of pleasure.
Benji then started going faster, quickly going for the deep throat.
"Ahh fuck, Benji..." the buck moaned before falling back on the bed. "Mmm... Fuck... Trying to make me cum already?"
Benji stopped and looked up at him.
"You already knew what you were in for." he said and smirked.
"I guess you're right." said the buck. "Come on... Get up here."
Benji then got up on the bed, on all fours, using his tail muscles to move his tail out of the way.
"Mmm..." the buck said. "I've been looking forward to this ass all night."
"Then pound it." said Benji.
"Mmm... Sassy." said the buck and smacked his right ass cheek as he pushed himself in.
"Mmm!" Benji moaned.
"Ohhh fuck..." said the buck and thrusted gently.
"Oh yes..." Benji moaned.
Then, with his left hoof, the deer grabbed him by the throat and pulled him up toward him, holding him up by his throat as he continued with pounding him as hard as he can.
"Ohhh Raimi!" Benji moaned.
"That's right, bitch." the buck said. "Take my deer meat."
"OH YES..." Benji moaned.
"What's my name... Shout it as loud as you can..." said Raimi.
"RAIMI!" Benji shouted out in pleasure.
"AHHH YES, BENJI... FUUUCK..." Raimi moaned.
They went on with this pace for a while and just kept wearing each other out... Mostly Benji wearing Raimi out through quite a bite of screwing and positions... The young wolf had more stamina than a lot of animals knew what to do with and that was something Raimi admired about Benji, yearning for his dick, but giving him exactly what he wanted.
So long later, they were both lying on their backs, their breaths having came back to them.
"You're amazing." said Raimi.
Benji smirked.
"That's why you came back for more, hmm?" he said.
"Mmmhmm." said Raimi.
"I've always been told I have a lot of energy." said Benji.
Raimi smiled and was quiet for a moment.
"I love you." he said.
"I can't do this." Benji, then got out of bed, working to get his clothes back on.
"What... Benji?" asked Raimi and sat up.
"I'm not ready to have another boyfriend right now..." said Benji.
Raimi sighed.
"I'm sorry..." he said. "Come back to bed. Please."
"I'm sorry, Raimi." said Benji. "You're a nice guy... But I just... I can't do this." he said and finished getting his clothes back on, then hurried out of the gate.
Raimi sighed again, then punched the wall with a closed fist.
"FUCK!" he shouted. "Stupid."
Meanwhile...
"May I get a martini, please?" asked Rory.
A cow behind the bar with golden yellow hide, beautiful blue eyes and a pink bow on her head smiled.
"Coming right up, dear." she said.
"Thanks a bunch, Daisy." said Rory and smiled back.
The cow from earlier then sat at the bar, out of breath from dancing.
"May I have a shot of Crown Royal Peach and a Bud Light, please?" she asked.
"Comin' up, hun." said Daisy and sat Rory's martini down beside her.
"Thanks." said the cow.
"No problem." said Daisy.
"You wanna get shit faced fast, don't you?" Rory joked.
The cow looked over at her and smirked.
"That's the plan. I don't get out much, so I'm here to have a great time." she said and chuckled. "I'm Pen." she said and extended a hoof.
Rory smiled and shook her hoof.
"Aurora." she said. "Most people call me Rory."
"I go by Pen, but my actual name is Penelope. I'm not a big fan of my parents' choice of name for me." said Pen and smiled back at her, admiring her. "So, you know why I'm here. How about you?"
"I love this place." said Rory. "You can do just about anything here and no one will judge you most of the time."
Daisy then handed Pen her drinks. Pen smiled at her, then proceeded to take a sip of her beer. Daisy then smiled back.
"It's my first time here and I noticed that already." said Pen.
"What would they have to say about you?" asked Rory.
"Nothing yet, hopefully." said Pen. "But by the end of the night, that may be different." she said and chuckled, before taking a shot of Crown.
Rory then chuckled softly.
"I might have you a wrong, but that almost sounded a slight bit like you were hitting on me..." she said and took a drink.
"I was talking about what the alcohol may do to me." said Pen. "But you're so beautiful, I think I'd be making a mistake if I didn't try to at least give it a shot and get to know you better." she said as her face began to get a bit flushed.
Rory smiled and looked down.
Rory's P.O.V.
I still didn't think I was right for her... and who knows if ever again, I could be, but... My thoughts on if love at first sight could ever truly exist were changed this night. Maybe I was a naive young mare... Maybe rushed it... Maybe I don't care anymore what others think.
"Well I do hope you know I like to get to know what people look like with their clothes off." I said.
Pen smiles and takes a drink before looking back at me.
"We have the same point of view there." said Pen. "You can only picture so much."
I smirked.
"I know of a spot, but there's not a lot of privacy." I said. "It's the best I can do though."
Pen raised a brow.
"By not a lot of privacy, you mean... Where, exactly?" she asked.
I then pointed to the livestock stalls on the other side of the barn. Pen then looked to the stalls in shock, then leaned closer.
"You weren't kidding about the privacy thing... I've never done it in public before." she said.
"Well..." I began and whispered. "We could put on human disguises and check in to a hotel...?"
"No..." Pen began. "There's a first time for everything, right? Hold on a sec." she said, then sits upright again and motions for Daisy.
"Hmm?" Daisy asked.
"Can I get another shot of Crown, please?" asked Pen.
"Certainly." said Daisy and gets her her drink.
"Thanks." said Pen, then drinks her shot and the rest of her beer. "Okay. That should help a bit."
I then laughed.
"Alright..." I said.
"After you, beautiful." said Pen.
