Kalinka stepped out of the portal and cringed at what she saw. Everything was so bright on earth. Green grass, blue sky, white clouds. Birds were singing and people were talking from afar.
"Disgusting," she said.
She had come to do a job, and she damn well would do it. Long time ago Finn had escaped hell to try and live as a human. Something that was forbidden and no one should be able to do unless they held the ability to trick people, which was exactly what Finn did.
She spat on the ground to show her detestation for earth. It left a small, burned spot on the ground. She smirked satisfyingly and continued forward. She needed to find Finn, and up on earth there were plenty of ways to do so. All she needed was to find a mirror. He couldn't hide from her in a world full of places and things of reflections.
She followed the voices of the humans and fought her urge to burn them all down. Now was not the time to play around. She had work to do. She spotted a woman holding up a handheld mirror while applying lipstick. She walked over to the woman and snatched the mirror from her.
"Hey! My mirror!" The woman protested.
Kalinka looked back at the woman, and it was enough to keep the woman quiet and instead hurry away. The fire in Kalinka's eyes could scare almost anyone. She turned back to the mirror and held it up in front of her. She didn't have to wait long before Finn's face appeared. He was studying his teeth in a mirror wherever he was. His facial expression suddenly changed to surprise when he saw those burning, red eyes and that fiery red hair where his mirror image should be.
"Finn Balor, prince of tricks," she smirked.
"Kalinka Ember, princess of fire," he smirked back. "So they sent you."
"It's time to go back," she said.
"I will never go back," he said.
"I will find you," she said.
He stepped to the side and the connection between them was cut. For now he would try his hardest to stay away from any surface where he could see his own reflection. He was hoping to make it harder for her but they both knew she wasn't going to back down, and she hated to be called a liar. She would find him.
"Tonight Finn Balor will go head to head with AJ Styles," a voice sounded.
She looked up at the sound of his name. His voice came through right after. She followed it over to a couple in the park who were looking at Finn talking on a small device in the woman's hand. Kalinka had no idea what that device was but Finn was on it somehow.
"How do you know Finn?" Kalinka asked.
"He's famous," the man said.
"Is he close?" Kalinka asked.
"You can see his schedule on the internet," the woman said.
"What's the internet?" Kalinka asked.
The couple looked at each other and chuckled. Kalinka didn't know what was so funny.
"Is this your first day on earth?" The man asked.
"Yes," Kalinka answered.
Kalinka grabbed the woman's arm. Since she was the one holding the device, she had to know where Finn was.
"Take me to Finn," Kalinka said.
"Hey! Hands off my girl!" The man shouted.
The man grabbed Kalinka and immediately started screaming as his hand burst into flames. The fire spread up his arm quickly and swallowed his entire body in seconds. Everyone around them started screaming and running around. Kalinka still had a grip on the woman and dragged her away from the burning man.
"What the fuck did you do?" The woman cried.
"Take me to Finn right now!" Kalinka demanded.
One look into Kalinka's eyes made the woman swallow and nod. She did not want to end up like her boyfriend.
"Okay, we can take my car," the woman said.
"What's a car?" Kalinka asked.
The woman blinked a couple of times and then pointed at her car. Kalinka followed the woman and got into the blue car parked on the street.
"What are you?" The woman asked.
"I'm the princess of fire," Kalinka smirked. "And I'm here to bring Finn home."
