Warning: Fake robbery

Summary: When a new crime boss attempts to rise to power in Vardaros, Rapunzel tries to persuade an old lawman out of retirement to help save the day.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera stand in Vardaros stand in the town square talking to Stalyan. Arianna looks at Stalyan's throne. Anthony was sitting on it. Anthony! She angrily thinks. She gently taps Stalyan's shoulder. Stalyan turns around. "Hi, sweetie! What do you need?" Stalyan asks Arianna as Stalyan takes Arianna's hand that she tapped Stalyan using. Arianna points to Anthony. Seriously?! Stalyan thinks. "Guys, we have a problem!" She announces. The rest of the group looks at him. Seriously?! They think.

They run towards him. Rapunzel lassoes her hair on a nearby cream column. She swings and skips on the columns up to the palace. Eugene hits him on the head with a black, cast-iron frying pan. Arianna smacks him with her book on the back of his head. Cassandra punches him. Varian throws down a pink ball. Pink smoke covers the area. Lance grabs him by the arms, pulls them behind him, and trips him with his foot. He gets up. Hook Foot trips him with his hook. He gets up and approaches Sara. She waves the brown wooden paintbrush she is holding in front of her. A puff of rainbow sparkles appears and pushes him back. He gets up and grabs Kiera, and she drops to the ground and sweeps her legs under him, planting her hands under her for support. He gets up and grabs Catalina. She punches him. He gets up. Stalyan punches him. He gets up. Natalia kicks him. He falls. "Well, gang, you may have defeated me in the meantime, but beware: I will return." He threatens. He gets up and runs away.

What are we going to do? Arianna worries. "What are we going to do?". Stalyan thinks. Quaid. She remembers.

"Guys, when I was a little girl there used to be a lot of crime in Vardaros but, this sheriff named Quaid chased all of the criminals out. If we can find him, he can protect us from Anthony!" She announces. That's a great idea! Rapunzel thinks. "That's a great idea! Where does he live?".

"Outta town in a treehouse, com'on, I'll show you.". Stalyan announces. They follow her.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera and Staylan arrive at a tree. An old wooden ramp spirals up the tree leads up to a shack. We should not all go up. Rapunzel thinks. "Guys, we should not all go up. Mom and I will go up." She announces. That's a good idea. The others think. Arianna and Rapunzel go up.

They arrive at the shack. Rapunzel knocks. An old African man wearing a green cap, a dirty yellow-green shirt, a black belt with a rectangular silver buckle, brown pants and boots, Quaid opens the door. Great two kids. He thinks. "Look, if Staylan sent you to me to babysit, tell her I don't like children, especially teenagers." He says. He shuts the door. Umm… Arianna thinks. Rapunzel knocks again.

"Sir, we aren't children. I'm 19 and she's 36. She looks like an older teen because we both had a chance encounter with light magic when I was born." She explains. He opens the door.

"Sorry, ladies, it's just that I am not too fond of children because I worked in juvenile justice for nine years and those kids were a handful." He apologizes. Arianna puts a hand up to her mouth and giggles. "Come in.". They walk in.

They go into a wooden room. The room is filled with papers, books with red covers, and ships-in-a-bottle. There is a wooden desk with high stacks of paper in the front of the room. Quaid sits at his desk. "So, ladies, what ya need?" He questions.

"Anthony's threatening to come back and take over and Staylan said to get you." Rapunzel announces. Whoa! I'm retired! Quaid thinks. "Sorry, I'm retired!". So, ThIs iS gOiNg WeLl! Arianna thinks. Ugg… Wait, I can probably think of something to convince him… remind him of the people.

"Quaid, think of all the people you helped.". He picked up a little girl with red Dutch braids, tan skin, green eyes, and freckles wearing a pink gown in Vardaros town square and set her on his shoulder.

"I'm in.".

Quaid is in a grassy field with Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, and Kiera. Lance runs with a black mask over his head. Quaid tries to catch him, but he trips and faceplants. The others cringe.

Quaid stands next to Arianna. They both have lassoes. Arianna waves hers around. It goes in the air. Quaid waves his around. It goes into the air and falls on him, tangling him up in it. Arianna looks at him. That's not good. She thinks. Her lasso falls on her, tangling her up in it. The others cringe.

Rapunzel goes over and untangles Quaid and Arianna. "Thanks Rapunzel." They tell her.

"You're welcome, guys." She replies.

"I don't think I'm very good at this. I'm sorry, guys, but I'm not your guy.". He walks away.

The others look in the direction he walks. Bummer Rapunzel thinks. We could stage a robbery. Eugene thinks. "Guys, Lance, Hook Foot, Staylan, Cassandra, and I could stage a robbery." He suggests. Not the best idea but, okay. Arianna thinks. The others nod in agreement.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, and Staylan are in Vardaros town square. Eugene, Lance, Hook Foot, and Staylan wear black masks over their head and are holding brown leather sacks filled with Arianna's, Varian's, Natalia's, Catalina's, and Kiera's stuffed animals. They start running. "HELP! I'VE BEEN ROBBED!" Cassandra calls. Quaid hears and runs over. He tackles Eugene, Lance, Hook Foot, and Staylan. Eugene's mask falls off. Eugene? Quaid thinks. He gets up.

"The whole thing was staged wasn't it?" He questions. He walks away.

"I knew it wasn't the best idea!" Arianna announces.

"Why didn't you say that before?" Eugene asks her.

We gotta fix this. Rapunzel thinks. "Guys, Sara and I will go and explain this. Everyone else, stay put." She explains.

Rapunzel and Sara run to Quaid. "Quaid, I know you're upset about the robbery not being real. I'm sorry. We were just trying to show you that you can succeed. You just gotta be confident in yourself." Rapunzel explains. He looks at her. She's right. He thinks.

"Besides, real or not real, you still stopped a robbery either way." Sara inputs. Sara! Rapunzel playfully thinks. He just laughs.

Rapunzel, Eugene, Arianna, Cassandra, Varian, Lance, Hook Foot, Natalia, Sara, Catalina, Kiera, Staylan, and Quaid are in Vardaros town square. Anthony walks into Vardaros. Quaid tackles him. Anthony gets up and runs. Everyone cheers.
