Clarice ignored the hair in her face. She just breathed and continued to run. Her ponytail had been old and had snapped as she ran. She just focused on running the track. She jumped and grunted as she started climbing the wall and bounced herself down with a rope.

She needed to focus on her time. She wanted to beat the others on this track. She kept running and then jumped over a stump. She then made it to the end. She panted as she stopped running.

She looked up and took her sweatshirt off to cool herself off. She looked over as her good friend, who grinned at her. "Congratulations. You are the second to finish the track. So much better than last time." Clarice was told.

Her friend then pulled her phone out and took a picture.

She was graduating soon and couldn't wait. She had an interview with head Special Agent Jack Crawford tomorrow for a job opportunity when she graduated. She had been hoping to work with the FBI.

Clarice's father died on duty as a police officer when she was ten years old. She looked up to him growing up and worked hard to make him proud even to this day. Her mother had died in childbirth with Clarice. So, she was sent away to her uncle's farm.

She had hated it there. At first, she loved it, as she loved animals. But then one night she was awoken by screaming. She quickly came out of her room, then the home, to the barn where the screams were coming from.

Clarice was horrified seeing the Lambs were being slaughtered. She wanted to save them, her heart not allowing this to continue. She opened the pin and yelled for them to run. She grabbed one of the lambs, and she also ran with the animal.

But it wasn't meant to be. Her uncle had the police find her with the lamb and she was sent away to an orphanage till she was sent to live with a new foster home, that soon adopted her into their family.

When time came, she was looking herself over. Making sure she was perfectly dressed for the interview. She had on a black suit pants, a silk white top with tins dark grey stripes, and a black suit jacket.

Her hair was pulled back into a professional bun. Since she wasn't a huge fan of heels, she wore matching flats.

When she figured that this was as good as she was going to get, she grabbed her phone and her bag, before leaving for her car.

She looked around her. She stood in the FBI building. Her dream was to come here to work and help others. To make her father proud. She went to the front desk, and signed herself in. She than put her student badge on.

She was told where she was to go for her interview. She went to class here, but right now. This was about her future. She needed to do great in this interview, so she can have the job when she finished classes soon.

Clarice sat down and took deep breaths as she waited for Jack Crawford came to retrieve her. She sat with her back straight, and her face calm and blank. She wanted to make sure she doesn't panic or show that she was panicking.

You can't work here if you panic easily.

"Clarice Starling?" A voice called. She perked up, and turned to see Crawford standing there watching her with his light brown eyes.

She stood and smiled at the man, walking over before holding a hand out for him to shake, to which he did. "Hello Miss. Starling. It's a pleasure to meet you, please follow me." Jack told her. She nodded and followed him into his office.

She saw her teacher, Will Graham, sitting in the office. She smiled and held her hand out for him as well. Clarice and Will were on friendly terms. She was a great student for him. In fact, he was who helped her get this interview.

But still, she hoped that he put in a lot of good words about her to Jack. She really needed this.

"Please have a seat, and we will get started." Jack told her.

Here we go.
